Operation Sindoor Outreach: Indonesia To Help India Expose Pakistan-Backed Terror

India's visiting delegation was assured by the Indonesian government about its zero-tolerance policy towards terrorism and support for enhancing counter-terror collaboration
On Wednesday, an Indian delegation led by Janata Dal (United) Member of Parliament Sanjay Jha held a series of meetings in Jakarta, Indonesia's capital city. One of the most crucial meetings was with the government of Indonesia. The delegation met Arief Havas Oegroseno, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of Indonesia, who emphasised Indonesia's zero-tolerance policy towards terrorism and expressed support for enhancing counter-terror collaboration with India.
Sources indicate that during the meeting, Indonesia assured India that it would expose Pakistan as a terror nation on both bilateral and multilateral platforms, including those shared with Pakistan. Indonesia, with its significant Muslim population, reiterated that no religion justifies targeting innocent civilians.
The delegation was told that true practitioners of Islam do not harm others, and using religion to justify violence is unacceptable. The Vice Minister also acknowledged Indonesia's opposition to an anti-India resolution proposed by Pakistan, highlighting the deep-rooted friendship between Indonesia and India and their shared fight against extremism.
After the meeting, Vice Minister Arief Havas Oegroseno stated, 'We had very frank and open discussions covering a wide range of issues. We spoke about the longstanding relationship between Indonesia and India as strategic partners and acknowledged the various agreements we have signed in the past."
Earlier, the multi-party delegation also met Dr Kao Kim Hourn, Secretary-General of ASEAN. Sanjay Jha, the delegation's chairman, presented an elaborate overview of India-Pakistan relations and the necessity of Operation Sindoor. The ASEAN Secretary-General emphasised dialogue to resolve issues.
Some delegation members stressed the seriousness of India's actions against Pakistan's terror bases and provided context for the operation. Former External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid elaborated on the historical context of India-Pakistan relations and India's stance on not attacking other nations unprovoked. He expressed concern over the targeting of victims in Pahalgam on April 22 based on their religion.
Sanjay Jha summarised the day's meetings on social media platform X, stating, 'A day of purposeful diplomacy in Jakarta, advancing India's message of peace, unity, and zero tolerance towards terrorism. Honoured to meet H.E. Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, Secretary-General of ASEAN, and H.E. Mr. Arief Havas Oegroseno, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of Indonesia. Our All-Party Parliamentary Delegation firmly conveyed India's stance against cross-border terrorism, highlighted the Pahalgam attack, briefed on the context of #OperationSindoor, and outlined India's 'New Normal' in counter-terror strategy. Also engaged with senior Indonesian parliamentarians to deepen democratic cooperation rooted in shared values and civilizational bonds. Grateful for the strong condemnation of terrorism from both ASEAN and Indonesia, and their continued support for global security. India's Comprehensive Strategic Partnership with @ASEAN continues to strengthen through growing collaboration in security, connectivity, commerce and culture."
The delegation will remain in Indonesia for another two days before heading to their next destination on this trip, Malaysia.
Later on Wednesday evening, the delegation attended a dinner meeting with the ambassadors of all ASEAN countries.

Madhya Pradesh Cabinet Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya has stirred up the hornet's nest yet again. At a recent public event held in Indore, Vijayvargiya said he didn't 'like girls who wear skimpy clothes'. In a speech he made at the event, Vijayvargiya, a senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and Madhya Pradesh's minister for urban development and parliamentary affairs, drew comparisons between Indian and Western culture, saying: 'Here in India, we consider a girl beautiful when she dresses well, wears jewellery, and adorns herself gracefully. In the West, a woman wearing fewer clothes is considered beautiful. I don't agree with that'. Continuing his comparison, he said: 'There's a saying in Western countries that a woman who wears fewer clothes is considered very beautiful, just as a leader who speaks less is considered good. But I don't believe in that. I believe a woman is a form of the goddess. She should wear nice clothes. I don't find women in revealing clothes attractive'. Piyush Goyal calls Italian business enclaves in India to boost investment
Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal on Thursday proposed to develop an industrial conclave for Italian businesses in India to promote investments. Speaking here at India-Italy Business Forum meeting, he said Italian companies can consider setting up manufacturing units and offices in those enclaves. "I have a proposition for you. We can set up Italian enclaves where Italian businesses can set up shops... we can set up hotels, restaurants, healthcare for Italian people who would come to work there. It will be home away from home for them," Goyal said. These industrial parks can be set up in the proposed industrail corridors in different parts of the country. The minister is here on a two-day visit. He is meeting leaders and businesses to boost trade and investments between the two countries. India would invite Italian companies to certain locations in India such as Dighi near Mumbai and Sambhaji Nagar (Aurangabad) in Maharashtra to showcase potential locations for these enclaves. The government has announced to invest about Rs 28,000 crore to set up 12 industrial nodes, and build 100 industrial parks in the country. These industrial areas will be located at Khurpia in Uttarakhand, Rajpura-Patiala in Punjab, Dighi in Maharashtra, Palakkad in Kerala, Agra and Prayagraj in UP, Gaya in Bihar, Zaheerabad in Telangana, Orvakal and Kopparthy in Andhra Pradesh, and Jodhpur-Pali in Rajasthan.
