Adam Sandler Gets Personal About Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift
Adam Sandler only has nice things to say about the Internet's favorite couple.
Currently, Sandler is promoting his upcoming movie, Happy Gilmore 2, which stars him, Julie Bowen, Christopher McDonald, Dennis Dugan, Ben Stiller, Benny Safdie and Bad Bunny. The sequel to the 1996 film Happy Gilmore takes place 30 years after winning his first Tour Championship. Happy Gilmore (Sandler) is now a retired golfer, but he returns to the sport to help pay for his daughter Vienna's (Adam Sandler's real-life daughter, Sunny Sandler) ballet school. The sports-comedy is directed by Kyle Newacheck and co-written by Tim Herlihy and Sandler.
In a recent press interview with Entertainment Tonight, Sandler was askedif his two daughters, Sadie and Sunny, had met Swift before. The actor and comedian responded that his kids have met the "You Need to Calm Down" singer multiple times throughout the years and "she's ridiculously nice and warm."
Adam Sandler's other daughter, Sadie, and his wife Jackie Sandler are expected to make a cameo in Happy Gilmore 2.
Then, the 58-year-old movie icon went on to talk about the Kansas City Chiefs tight end and Swift's boyfriend, Travis Kelce, who also makes a cameo in the film.
"Travis is such a gentle, nice guy. He's like the guys I grew up with," Sandler said. "When I'm with Travis, it reminds me of my buddies in high school, just being able to laugh and say the things you want to say."
Sandler also called the 35-year-old NFL player "a great actor and great human."

Where Was Allen Covert's Caddie Otto in Happy Gilmore 2?
Happy Gilmore 2 has plenty of interesting things, including a new caddie played by Bad Bunny, replacing the fan favorite Otto, who Allen Covert portrayed in the first movie. Despite the film bringing back a ton of references from part one and most of the characters from the first film, too, Allen Covert was a rare exception. Why was Allen Covert's Caddie Otto absent from Happy Gilmore 2? It seems there was no reason outside the movie to replace the actor in Happy Gilmore 2, as Allen Covert continues to share a working relationship with Adam Sandler, in whose films he often appears. It seems that the reason for Covert's character being cut out is mainly narrative. Most characters from the first film, like Christopher McDonald as Shooter McGavin, Julie Bowen as Virginia, Ben Stiller as Hal L., and Dennis Dugan as Doug Thompson, all came back. But the second film also aimed to introduce some new faces and some new dynamics. This was perhaps the reason they chose to go in a different direction with a new caddie, Oscar (Bad Bunny). Interestingly, Bad Bunny's character was one of the most appealing ones in the movie. He had one of the finest arcs throughout, often helping Happy push forward in his quest. As for Otto, Happy Gilmore 2 revealed that Otto 'moved to Switzerland for tax purposes.' The movie revealed this during a conversation where Happy tried to recruit Will Zalatoris as his caddie. As there is hardly any reason other than trying to bring in a new character, fans can assume that Allen Covert's character was simply replaced to add this intriguing new caddie. Bad Bunny's performance was appreciated by fans and had a story arc that dragged on till the very end. Perhaps a cameo from Covert would have been nice for the fans of the first movie. But it seems the movie did not waste the role of the caddie, which kept many fans engaged in his storyline.
