Hodeida - Saba:
The city of Zabeed in Hodeida Governorate witnessed a popular celebration for the people of the districts of Tohaita, Jarahi, and Zabeed, marking the anniversary of the Day of Wilaiya of Imam Ali, peace be upon him, under the slogan "Whoever I am his master, then this Ali is his master."
The celebration, which was attended by directors of directorates and a group of leaders from the local authority, executive offices, and the General Mobilization Forces, focused on the significance of this anniversary and the importance of drawing inspiration from the values of loyalty from the life of the Commander of the Faithful and his heroic and jihadist stances in the face of tyranny.
The ceremony's speeches stated that commemorating the Day of Allegiance is a firm affirmation of the Yemeni people's adherence to the approach of Imam Ali and a renewal of their pledge of loyalty to him. They noted that the occasion commemorates the values of sacrifice and courage in confronting the forces of global colonialism and the tyrants of evil, America and Israel.
They emphasized the importance of associating with the leaders of guidance who adhere to the directives of Allah and His Messenger, foremost among whom is Imam Ali, peace be upon him. They noted that true and sincere allegiance to Allah, His Messenger, and Imam Ali is the nation's impregnable fortress against subservience to Jews and Christians. They explained that commemorating this anniversary provokes the wrath of the nation's enemies and embodies the extent of the Yemeni people's deep-rooted loyalty to Allah, His Messenger, and Imam Ali, and their commitment to following their path, considering allegiance a covenant of mercy, care, guidance, pride, dignity, education, and construction.
The speeches called for investing in this historic milestone to enhance collective awareness, renew our resolve to persevere, emulate the sacrifices of the Commander of the Faithful, and embark seriously on implementing the directives of the Leader of the Revolution, Sayyid Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, in support of the Palestinian cause.
They praised the distinguished model set by the governorate's districts, particularly Zabeed, Jarahi, and Tohaita, in championing the causes of the nation and the people, supporting the fronts, and defending dignity and sovereignty. They highlighted the deep-rooted popular awareness of the importance of this occasion as a source of inspiration and strengthening of faith identity.
The speeches indicated that this great popular engagement is inseparable from the deep intellectual and spiritual affiliation of the people of Tehama, who have remained, throughout the ages, at the forefront of the defense of the faith, committed to the positions of truth and loyalty to the symbols of authentic Islam.
They considered the anniversary of the Day of Allegiance a major educational milestone for instilling the meanings of loyalty and responsibility, emphasizing that Yemenis have embodied this concept in word and deed from the time of the Prophet until today.
They stated that celebrating this occasion in the historic city of Zabeed gives the anniversary cultural and spiritual dimensions, reflecting the deep-rooted concept of guardianship in the conscience of the people of Yemen and highlighting their role in protecting identity and fortifying the nation against intellectual and political infiltration.
The celebration included segments of folk dancing, authentic Tehami chanting, and zamel and poems that expressed the symbolism of the Day of Ghadir Khumm, the extent of Yemenis' adherence to the Prophet's family, and their deep historical pride in Imam Ali (may God be pleased with him).

Palestine Resistance condemns Israeli attacks on Yemeni capital

Gaza - Saba: The Palestinian Resistance Committees condemned, on Sunday, in the strongest terms, the new criminal Zionist aggression on the Yemeni city of Sana'a and the bombing of a power station there, which clearly reflects the state of bankruptcy and confusion the Zionist entity is experiencing. In a statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), the committees affirmed the failure of all attempts by the Zionist enemy to counter the qualitative strikes launched by the Yemeni armed forces deep inside the Zionist entity. They stated that the continued Zionist targeting of civilian targets in Yemen proves that the Zionist entity is incapable of confronting the Yemeni armed forces and that this criminal entity is only adept at attacking civilian assets. This demonstrates a major intelligence failure that has dogged it since the launch of the Yemeni Support Front for the Palestinian People and their Resistance in Gaza. The committees declared their full and necessary solidarity with Yemen, its people, and its armed forces, praising their steadfastness and resilience. The committees affirmed that Yemen will always remain dear, resistant, and a genuine supporter and backer of Palestine, at a time when everyone has failed to support the starving and afflicted people of Gaza, who have been facing the Zionist holocaust and genocide for more than 22 months.

Israel Strikes Houthi energy facility in Yemen

Israel has launched a targeted military strike on a Houthi-controlled power facility near Sanaa, Yemen, escalating tensions in the region. The Israeli military confirmed the attack, stating it was in response to repeated missile and drone launches by the Iran-backed Houthi group against Israeli territory and shipping lanes in the Red Sea. The strike reportedly hit the Haziz power plant in the Sanhan district south of Sanaa, causing temporary outages and fires at the site. Local Yemeni media and Houthi-affiliated sources described the attack as an act of aggression against civilian infrastructure, with no immediate reports of casualties. Israel's Defense Forces (IDF) emphasized that the operation targeted "energy infrastructure used by the Houthi terrorist regime," citing the group's ongoing campaign of attacks launched in solidarity with Palestinians since the Gaza war began in October 2023. The Houthis have intensified their military actions in recent months, targeting Israeli-linked vessels in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden, and launching ballistic missiles toward Israel. Despite a ceasefire agreement with the United States in May, the group vowed to continue its campaign against Israeli interests. This latest strike marks a significant escalation in Israel's military posture in the region, raising concerns about broader conflict involving Iran-backed militias and international shipping routes.

US praises Yemeni forces led by Tariq Saleh for foiling Houthi weapons smuggling attempt

The US has praised Yemeni forces led by Gen Tariq Saleh for intercepting a shipment of weaponry allegedly smuggled to Houthi rebels. US Central Command said security forces confiscated drones, jet propulsion systems, wireless devices, and advanced control components on August 6 from the Port of Aden. The cargo, bound for the Houthi-controlled port of Hodeidah, was uncovered during a joint inspection by counterterrorism, customs, and police units. Officials said the operation was co-ordinated with the public prosecutor and port authorities. Led by Gen Saleh, Yemen's National Resistance Forces (NRF), which carried out the operation, is a coalition of anti-Houthi forces loyal to the internationally recognised government. Gen Saleh, a nephew of the late president Ali Abdullah Saleh, is an army commander. He is a member of the presidential council of Yemen and played a leading role in coastal battles against the Houthis before becoming a central figure in the Red Sea forces. The US accuses Tehran of smuggling advanced weapons to the Houthis, a charge Iran denies. In recent years, US and allied naval patrols have intercepted shipments of Iranian-made drones, cruise missile components, and small arms believed to be headed to the Houthis. Experts said these supplies have enabled the rebels to expand long-range strikes on shipping lanes and regional targets, including western warships in the Red Sea.
