The commercial deployment of 5G-SA services using low-band spectrum sets a new standard for enhancing nationwide coverage and enabling next-generation connectivity. Zain KSA had acquired 30MHz in the 600MHz band in the Communication, Space, and Technology Commission (CST) spectrum auction of November 2024.

The aim will be to exceed the number of devices recycled during the first national electronic devices recycling campaign, which ran between 2022 and 2023; over 100,000 devices with a market value of SAR 30 million were recycled, 240 tons of electronic materials were refurbished. International law firm Addleshaw Goddard has successfully advised Banque Misr and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) on an $80 million syndicated loan extended to Orange Egypt, a leading telecommunications operator in Egypt. The transaction marks a significant development in the country's telecommunications sector, as the financing will enable Orange Egypt to strengthen its infrastructure and acquire a 5G mobile operating license.
