Seething Love Island fans slam ‘vile' Ben and demand he's axed in public vote after explosive row with Yasmin
LOVE Island fans were left seething as they slammed Ben as being 'vile' and demanded he's axed in public vote. Viewers of the long-running ITV2 dating show were given the choice to vote to save their favourite girl and boy. 5 5 5 The contestants that receive the fewest votes from the public will be at risk of being dumped from the show. In tonight's episode of Love Island, Yasmin Pettet, 24, decided to pull her current couple partner, Ben Holbrough, 23, for a chat. Although she went in with the intention of squashing any underlying tension, things soon got heated. She accused him of saying negative things about her to the boys behind her back, as she hinted that he didn't appreciate her enough. He seemed to blame her for choosing him in the last recoupling, to which she replied: "Who else would I have chosen at the end of the day?" The private taxi driver responded: "I haven't really been feeling you to be fair." She was completely taken aback by his comments as she sarcastically snapped back: "Okay, I'm glad you're honest about that now." Flicking her hair in disgust, she added: "That's like really helpful." He then dug himself deeper as he explained: "I gave it a go because I felt like I had to." When she said that she felt like he did not really give their partnership a proper chance, he then said: "I didn't really want to, to be fair." Love Island fans claim Ben 'looks like he's being held hostage' after surprise new couple is revealed The argument seemed to escalate as she was not happy with how Ben seemed to hide his true feelings, saying: "Don't f****** waste my time." He then insulted her further with his responses "You're lucky Shea even picked you. To be fair, I think you're lucky you're even in here now to be fair. "No one rated you when you were in here let's say. You've only come out your shell because you're in a couple with me." Writing on X - formerly known as Twitter - one fan wrote: "Ben resorting to insults. Immature. Bye Felicia." A second claimed: "Ben is the type to only respect women he finds attractive. Nasty piece of work," along with a puke emoji. "I don't think Ben did himself any favours in the chat," noted a third viewer. And a fifth added: "Yasmin did not deserve that from Ben. Vile!" 5 5

Phyllis Logan's puzzling whodunnit is like a spoof of Midsomer Murders, says RONALD WHITE
Murder Most Puzzling - Channel 5 About halfway through Murder Most Puzzling, actor Adam Best delivered what is surely the most whodunnit line ever: 'This is DI Hooper. A body has been found in the library.' Found? You'd have to be Chief Inspector Clouseau to have missed it. The bloodied corpse dropped from the balcony during amateur detective Cora Felton's birthday party — straight on top of the giant cake. But never mind the death, a bigger mystery was the party itself. Inspector Hooper's main job in this series is to look cross while telling Cora to mind her own business. Why would he organise her birthday party? And how do you slit a hard-bitten private investigator's throat and heave him over a balcony into a room full of police officers without anybody noticing? Murder Most Puzzling has been compared with the BBC 's hit Ludwig, mainly because Cora — like David Mitchell 's character — is a famous crossword compiler. But that's where the resemblance ends. Crosswords and logic are how Ludwig solves crimes, posing as his identical twin brother. There is also something darker lurking in the background, not to mention the suggestion that Ludwig fancies his sister-in-law. We only knew Phyllis Logan's Cora was a famous puzzler in this episode because everybody kept mentioning it. She could just as well be a celebrity chef. Her red specs were straight out of the Prue Leith eyewear range. This six-parter has none of the subtlety of Ludwig. Sometimes it was like watching a spoof episode of Midsomer Murders. There were some clever twists, but far too much seemed far too unlikely. It's a waste of Phyllis Logan, and at two hours, it's much too long (by contrast, the BBC's Death Valley is only 45 minutes). In last night's episode, Cora was hired to clear the name of a man in prison for killing his girlfriend. I don't want to give too much away, but the mayor of Bakerbury (Richard Croxford) could not have been a more obvious villain if he had a duelling scar, sported a twirly moustache, and stroked a white cat. Cora confronted him alone in his office, and it's a miracle she survived long enough to do this. Her preferred method of solving crimes seems to be meeting suspects in circumstances of obvious danger and asking if they've killed anybody recently. At least she had a gun when confronting one killer, who was caught in the act. Who knew crossword compilers were routinely armed? She also managed to force her way into the office of Mr Peacock, the rather limp governor of Bakerbury Prison and an early suspect, by bribing the guards with biscuits. Presumably, these guards were sacked following this outrageous security breach — and immediately recruited by RAF Brize Norton.

Pregnant Love Island star Shaughna Phillips left stunned as she learns the gender of her baby and reveals why doctors are forcing her to undergo a C-section - ahead of welcoming second child with jailed boyfriend Billy Webb
Pregnant Shaughna Phillips has revealed she already knows the gender of her baby and took to Instagram on Thursday to share a snap of the moment she learned the news for the first time. The Love Island star, 31, looked stunned in the photo just days after confirming she was expecting, with The Sun later reporting that she would once again be welcoming a child with jailed boyfriend Billy Webb, who is also the father of her daughter Lucia. During a Q&A with followers one asked 'So pleased for you! Are you going to find out the gender?' to which Shaughna shared the snap of herself with her mouth wide open in utter disbelief and wrote: 'We do know the gender, this was my reaction'. She also revealed that was due in November, but said she'd be undergoing a C-Section so would likely welcome the tot a little earlier. Shaughna explained that while she had already planned to undergo the procedure following her now two-year-old's 'rough' birth, doctors had also insisted on it, due to her suffering from a 'low lying placenta'. Reflecting on Lucia's birth she wrote: 'Induction, 2 days labour, pushed for an hour and she was not moving, She got rally stressed and was rushed for forceps which FAILED because she turned around, and then she was rushed for an emergency C-Section and ended up with a postpartum haemorrhage'. She continued: 'So I always said I never wanted to risk that happening again and my baby being in such distress so always planned on having a C-section for future babes'. 'At my 20 week scan that said I have a low lying placenta which means I have tio have a section so ended up not being my choice anyway LOL'. Following the birth of Lucia in April 2023, Billy, 29, was sentenced to nine years in prison after pleading guilty to conspiracy to supply 4.5kg of cocaine worth at least £360,000. Speaking to The Mirror on Thursday, Shaughna said she got pregnant the very first time her ovulation period had coincided with Billy being at home. 'It was the first time that my ovulation window coincided with Billy being home,' Shaughna said. 'I was like, "You know what? Why not? Let's just see" - and literally, the next day, I said to Billy, "I think I'm pregnant".' She went on to hint that Billy is set for early release and will be here for the birth. Shaughna said: 'I know the date that he's due to be home, but I'm not saying it just because anything could happen - but hopefully he will be fully home before my baby is due.' Shaughna and Billy have been enjoying family days out over the past seven months while he has been on day release from an open prison. An insider said: 'Billy has been in a Category D prison, which means he has been able to spend a fair bit of time with Shaughna. 'He even managed to be home over Christmas, which meant a lot to her and, of course, Lucia. He hasn't been released as many people thought, but he has a lot of privileges.' In Category D prisons inmates have minimal security and those deemed 'low risk' inmates are allowed to leave the site to work, 'resettle' or attend education during the day. MailOnline contacted Shaughna's representatives for comment at the time. Announcing her pregnancy on Sunday, Shaughna posted a video of herself taking a pregnancy test and showed off her growing bump. She also shared a sweet video of her daughter Lucia, two, wearing a t-shirt saying 'Big Sis' and 'In my big sister era' to go with the announcement. Shaughna did not reveal who the father of her baby is as she wrote: 'Adding a little more love to our family…' Shaughna revealed the couple had spent Christmas together in December after the family reunited to enjoy a Christmas grotto together. Sharing an adorable video to her Instagram, the reality star revealed that she and her partner had taken Lucia to see Santa and added she never thought this day would come. She captioned the clip: 'If you had told me this time last year, that me and Billy would be taking Lucia to see Santa next Christmas, I probably wouldn't have let myself believe you 'The best couple of days, this Christmas is going to be so special'. The blonde bombshell has been very open with her fans throughout the ordeal and previously revealed on her podcast Oh, Baby with Shaughna and Holly that she had struggled to come to terms with the situation. She said: 'It's the most gut-wrenching position to be in. 'And, I mean, before I even answer this question, I want to just put it out there that you can judge me all you want, but please don't let me know, because I feel like unless you've been in this position you can't really have an opinion on it. 'Because before I was in this position, before I had a baby, if you had asked me would I ever, ever take my child into a prison, the answer would be absolutely not. Anyone that does that is crazy. 'And then, lo and behold, I'm now in this position. And I think the thing is, we're always going to be co-parents. 'And I know that me and my dad had the best relationship ever, and to me, my dad is the best person in the world. 'And I don't want Lucia to think differently of her father. I would never, ever stop him from seeing her, ever.' What is a Low-Lying Placenta? In some women, the placenta attaches low down in the uterus and may cover part of or all of the cervix (the neck of the womb). In most cases, the placenta moves upwards and out of the way as the uterus grows during pregnancy. For some women, however, the placenta continues to lie in the lower part of the uterus as the pregnancy progresses. If the placenta remains low-lying, you will have an additional scan at 36 weeks. If the placenta remains low at 36 weeks then you will see an obstetrician who will to decide the safest way to deliver the baby.
