Police arrest two Franklin men after reports of late-night gun shots near middle school
Officers responded to the 8600 block of West Cascade Drive around 11 p.m., May 8, after numerous reports of gunshots, a May 9 news release from the police department said. Officers found bullet casings in the area which is about 1,000 feet from the Forest Park Middle School grounds, according to Google Maps.
Police said an investigation determined shots were fired from one vehicle into another occupied vehicle.
Greendale Police officers stopped the offending vehicle shortly after Franklin Police arrived on-scene. A firearm, which police said they believe was used in the shooting, was found in the vehicle.
'This is believed to be an isolated incident between parties known to each other, and there is no ongoing threat to the public at this time,' police said.
The two male occupants, a 22-year-old and a 24-year-old, were taken to the Milwaukee County Criminal Justice Facility. Charges of first-degree recklessly endangering safety and felon in possession of a firearm will be forwarded to the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office, police said.
The investigation is continuing to locate the vehicle struck by gunfire which police said fled the scene.

Man killed in police shooting in Keene, N.H.
No officers were injured, and there is no known threat to the public, according to the statement. In keeping with protocol, the names of the officers involved are being withheld until formal interviews are completed, authorities said. The statement did not identify which bank was near the scene. Both an NBT Bank and a TD Bank are located close by the intersection where the shooting occurred, according to Google Maps. Hateful call to ‘attack' NYC Jewish high school probed by NYPD
A Brooklyn woman who worked as a youth organizer for 'Squad' Rep. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez was arrested Friday on charges she urged her 25,000 social media followers to 'attack' a public high school because Jewish students attend it. Iman Abdul, 27, is accused of posting a screenshot on Thursday of the location of Leon M. Goldstein High School for the Sciences in Manhattan Beach on Google Maps and a chilling caption. 'If anyone needs a public school in NYC to attack for whatever reason … Lexus driving Israhell (sic) loving Zionists all attend here,' the since-deleted post read.
