What Triptii Dimri Wants To Learn From Bad Newz Co-Star Vicky Kaushal
Ever since the massive success of Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Animal with Ranbir Kapoor, Triptii Dimri has skyrocketed to fame like no other. Recently, she was also in the news for replacing Deepika Padukone in Vanga's Spirit opposite Prabhas.
She is gearing up for the release of Dhadak 2 with Siddhant Chaturvedi, and it was during the promotions that she spoke about her Bad Newz co-star Vicky Kaushal.
What's Happening
Triptii Dimri revealed the one thing she would love to learn from Vicky Kaushal as an actor.
She told ETimes, "He's a very, very sweet and a very talented guy - and very humble. I think I'm very, very patient. I think that patience I want to learn from him."
Furthermore, she added, "He can work for 24 hours without saying a word. He's just too good. And I think I asked him one day, How do you go on and on without any complaints?"
"He's like, 'This is what I always wanted in life.' And that gave me an answer to so many things. That patience, I think, I would want," concluded the Animal actress.
About Bad Newz
The plot of the film revolves around Triptii Dimri facing Neha Dhupia's probing question about the father of her unborn child. The suggestion of a paternity test hangs in the air as scenes unfold, showcasing Vicky Kaushal and Triptii's romance.
A major plot twist unfolds as it is revealed that due to a mix-up in timelines, Triptii is unaware of the identity of her child's father. The doctor later shocks everyone by declaring it a 'once-in-a-lifetime' occurrence and reveals that both Vicky Kaushal and Ammy Virk are the fathers of Triptii's unborn child.

Ranbir Kapoor's Ramayana Co-Star Talks About 'Sandalwood Scene' In Film: 'How One Imagines Lord Rama…'
Ranbir Kapoor's Ramayana transformation left co-star Indira Krishnan stunned, as she opens up about his intense training and on-set discipline. Ranbir Kapoor in Ramayana: Going from a blood-soaked gangster in Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Animal to the calm, divine figure of Lord Ram isn't something many actors could pull off. But Ranbir Kapoor has done just that – and it left his Ramayana co-star Indira Krishnan genuinely stunned. Reuniting with him on the set of Nitesh Tiwari's mythological epic, Indira says she saw a completely different side of the actor – not just in terms of physical changes, but also in how he carried himself. She saw him go through intense physical training, with a clear focus on building shoulder strength to match the strong, divine image of Lord Ram. She said, 'Ranbir has worked, not only on his physicality but even his eyes speak a different language. Like Lord Rama is supposed to have strong shoulders because he carries his bow and arrow, Ranbir has worked on his shoulders, his body. He would workout for 3-4 hours, and was always punctual on the set. After pack-up also, he would get back to working out. His dedication was 200 percent." She said the difference between the two roles really stood out during one scene. 'I remember the first day, we were shooting for the sandalwood ceremony and the way he sat down, he sat like how one imagines Lord Rama to sit. How he positioned his upper body, his face, his eyes, it's not easy. Because his upper body was without any clothes, since in that scene Lord Rama was wearing just his dhoti. The kind of comfort level he brought in… And I think that is the plus point of Ramayana. You can see that contrast from Animal. The rowdiness that he had in Animal and to present the divine… was a complete contrast for Ranbir. And I am the only one who has seen that contrast. Even the way he interacted with people on set, he was in character." Ramayana, which is being directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra, is shaping up to be a massive two-part retelling of the classic Indian epic. The cast is star-studded. Ranbir Kapoor takes on Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi plays Sita, Yash is Ravana, Ravi Dubey becomes Lakshman, and Sunny Deol portrays Hanuman. Supporting cast includes Amitabh Bachchan, Rakul Preet Singh, Kunal Kapoor, Lara Dutta, Arun Govil and Sheeba Chadha. The first part is expected to hit cinemas during Diwali 2026, with the second part set to follow the next year in Diwali 2027. The project promises a big-screen experience blending traditional storytelling with modern cinematic flair. Box Office: Son of Sardaar 2 in a fight for showcasing in India as Saiyaara & Mahavatar Narsimha strike gold; Dhadak 2 locks release plan
The box office is shining in its full glory with back-to-back successes in the form of Saiyaara and Mahavatar Narsimha. But the victory run of the two films has also started a fight in showcasing all across the country. As Ajay Devgn returns to the screen with Son of Sardaar 2, the distributors, PVRInox are finding it tough to get the required shows in the non-national chains and single screens. 'Saiyaara is running strong at the box office, and exhibitors are not willing to let go of the romantic saga in the third week too. Mahavatar Narsimha is also beginning to gain momentum, and with audience demand, there is a spike in showcasing for the film,' a trade source shared. The source further added, 'Being a comedy film from a franchise with Ajay Devgn in the lead, PVRInox is demanding 60 per cent of the total showcasing, however, exhibitors are willing allot not more than 35 per cent of shows at their properties. While some single screens have agreed on two-shows per-day, the non-national chains are willing to give not more than 35 per cent shows to Son of Sardaar 2. This has left PVRInox fuming, and the fight is on to secure more shows.' Interestingly, the present showcasing plan is favouring Saiyaara as also Mahavatar Narsimha in the non-national chains and single screens. 'Dhadak 2 team is going tight with their release with about 1000 screens on the first day. They are not looking for a wide release, and content with a strategic release on 1000 screens, mainly focused towards the urban markets. It's a strategy similar to what team Dharma followed with Kesari 2, and they are looking to increase their shows over the weekend if the word of mouth comes in their favour. The issue is with Son of Sardaar 2 – a bigger film, which is aiming for a release on over 3500 screens, but the circumstances might restrict it to 2500 screens with scattered showcasing,' the source shared. At 4 screen property, the proposed allocation at the moment is – 6 shows of Son of Sardaar, 5 shows for Saiyaara, 4 shows for Dhadak, 3 shows for Mahavatar Narsimha and the remaining for the other holdover releases. The 3 screen properties on the other hand have proposed a showcasing of 5 shows for Son of Sardaar, 4 shows for Saiyaara, 3 for Dhadak 2 and the remaining for Mahavatar Narsimha. On the contrary, the single screens have proposed 2 shows for Son of Sardaar 2, 2 shows for Saiyaara and 1 show for Mahavatar Narsimha. 'PVR Pictures has demanded 4 shows from some single screen owners, who at the moment have decided to skip Son of Sardaar 2 for the holdover releases – Saiyaara and Mahavatar Narsimha,' the source concluded. Surprisingly, some single-screens owners are willing continue Saiyaara in the third week too on all the four shows, based on the strong demand from the audiences. The negotiations are still in progress at all the centres, and a clear picture on the show sharing ratios will be available by Thursday morning. Stay tuned to Pinkvilla for more updates, as the things will get crisper from here.

India's most profitable film of 2025 with just ₹7 crore budget earned 1200% profit, beats Chhaava, Saiyaara
2025 brought much-needed relief to the Indian film industry. As the first half of the year wraps up, it's time to revisit the hits and misses at the box office. The year marked a high point for Vicky Kaushal, with Chhaava becoming his highest-grossing film, while Aamir Khan returned to form with Sitaare. Unexpected successes like Saiyaara, Thudarum, and Kuberaa took audiences by surprise. Meanwhile, highly anticipated films such as Sikandar, Thug Life, Deva, and Emergency received mixed reviews and underwhelming footfall. But rising above all was a small-budget film with no big stars that emerged as the most profitable release of the year. India's most profitable film of 2025 so far is the Tamil surprise box office success, Tourist Family. Tourist Family is written and directed by Abishan Jeevinth, who made his directorial debut with the film. The slice-of-life comedy-drama stars M. Sasikumar, Simran, Mithun Jai Sankar, and Kamalesh Jagan in the lead, while Yogi Babu, Ramesh Thilak, M. S. Bhaskar, Elango Kumaravel, Sreeja Ravi, and Bagavathi Perumal are also part of the film's ensemble cast. The storyline of Tourist Family follows a Sri Lankan Tamil family who reach India in search of a better future after the economic crisis in Sri Lanka. The film is produced by Million Dollar Studios and MRP Entertainment. It was released on 29 April 2025 (India) and 1 May 2025 (worldwide). Tourist Family was made on a modest budget of just ₹ 7 crore. The film went on to earn over ₹ 90 crore worldwide, delivering a whopping 1200% profit over its production cost. In addition to its commercial triumph, it garnered glowing reviews from both critics and audiences. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, Tourist Family opened in India with an impressive day-one collection of ₹ 2.35 crore. It gained strong momentum over the weekend, amassing ₹ 23.3 crore in its first week alone. Powered by positive word-of-mouth, the film continued to grow and earned even more in its second week, collecting ₹ 28 crore. The film maintained a stronghold at the box office for five consecutive weeks, ultimately ending its run with a lifetime global collection of ₹ 90 crore—of which ₹ 70.7 crore came from the Indian market alone. With its earnings, Tourist Family has emerged as the most profitable film, even surpassing 2025's highest grosser Chhaava. Vicky Kaushal's biggest hit Chhaava earned ₹ 808 crore worldwide. The film was made on a budget of ₹ 90 crore, which means it earned around 800% profit. While it is an impressive number, it's still less than what Tourist Family achieved with about 8% of Chhaava's budget. Even the latest box office blockbuster, YRF's Saiyaara, featuring newcomers Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, is far from replicating the profit margins attained by Tourist Family. As per Sacnilk, Saiyaara recorded worldwide earnings of ₹ 393.80 crore. Reportedly, the Mohit Suri film is made on a budget of ₹ 50 crore, raking in 687.6% profit so far. Other box office hits such as Housefull 5 earned ₹ 300 crore worldwide. However, it wasn't as profitable as expected due to its huge budget of ₹ 225 crore. The same goes for Salman Khan's Sikandar. Aamir Khan's Sitaare Zameen Par has done better, becoming one of the highest grossers of this year so far. It made about 300% profit, as per the latest report. Some South Indian films have also delivered excellent profits. While Tamil film Dragon made a 300% profit at the box office, Malayalam hit Thudarum recorded about 720% profit margin. Telugu blockbuster Sankranthiki Vasthunam, the top Telugu film of 2025 so far, made around 300% profit on its ₹ 60-crore budget.
