TMKOC: Disha Vakani Was 'Uncomfortable' In Rakhi Video With Asit Modi? Jennifer Mistry Claims
Days after a video of Disha Vakani trying a rakhi to the Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah maker Asit Kumarr Modi surfaced on social media, Jennifer Mistry has now claimed that the entire event was planned to 'clear image". In a recent interview, Mistry, who used to play the role of Mrs Roshan Sodhi in TMKOC, claimed that Disha Vakani looked uncomfortable in her video with Asit Modi.
'Khisyani billi khambha nooche, it's been 17 years and till today, not even a single photo of Disha tying rakhi to Asit ji has surfaced. This time, the whole thing was recorded on video. Now, how will they clear this image? And they are saying that Disha went to Asit ji's house but actually Disha didn't go to Asit ji's house, Asit ji and Neela ji went to Disha's house. It was clearly visible that Disha was very uncomfortable and she was not smiling," she told Filmygyan.
Have You Watched Asit Modi's Video With Disha Vakani?
As Raksha Bandhan celebrations took over social media, fans were treated to a special moment shared by Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah producer Asit Modi. He posted a warm video showing the rare presence of Disha Vakani, fondly known as 'Dayaben,' joining him and his wife for the festivities. The clip featured Disha tying a rakhi on Asit Modi and sharing a touching moment of mutual respect, leaving fans eager and hopeful for her return to the show.
In his heartfelt caption, Modi wrote, 'Some relationships make destiny… Not blood, it is a relation of the heart ❤️! #dishavakani Not just our 'Daya Bhabhi', but my sister. For years, sharing laughter, memories and affinity, this relationship has gone far beyond the screen."

Who Is Disha Vakani?
Disha Vakani used to play the iconic role of Dayaben in TMKOC. However, she has been missing from Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah for years now. She went on maternity leave in 2018 and has not returned since. Just a few months ago, Asit Modi exclusively confirmed to News18 Showsha that Disha would not be returning to the popular sitcom.
'It is difficult for her now (to return to the show). For women, life changes after marriage. Working with small children and managing the house is really a bit difficult for them. But I am still positive. I feel somewhere that god will do a miracle and she will return. If she comes, then it will be a good thing. If for some reason she does not come, then I will have to bring another Dayaben for the show," the Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah creator said.

Kate's life from reality star to nurse Born Katie Irene Kreider in Philadelphia in 1975, Kate trained as a nurse before fame ever came calling. As per People, she worked in labor and delivery in Pennsylvania until her life turned upside down after meeting Jon in 1997. Fertility treatments followed, twins in 2000, sextuplets in 2004, and then, TV. Kate works as a pediatric home health nurse. In a candid TikTok exchange, she explained why, despite all that TV money, she is back to nursing. 'Providing for 8 kids, college funds… and LAWYERS,' she said. 'Sad bc my kids could have a lot more saved, and I could have a retirement saved if it weren't for lawyers," she added. Kate later dismissed his comments as 'delusional ramblings.' Also read: Amid divorce rumors, Travis Hunter and wife Leanna Lenee add a new member to family Their son Collin became a flashpoint. Despite the turmoil, Kate still marks milestones online. In May 2024, she celebrated the sextuplets' 20th birthdays, writing on Instagram: 'No more teenagers in this house! Happy 20th birthday, my forever babies!' On TikTok, she has even joked that her now-adult kids watch reruns of Jon & Kate Plus 8 with their friends. 'Isn't that cute?' she told fans.
