Vasu Raina Makes His Warner Music India Debut with 'Farebi', A Bold Sequel To His Role In Maharani

Vasu Raina debuts with 'Farebi' under Warner Music India, blending satire, heartbreak, and drama in a sequel to his viral Maharani appearance. Watch now.
Actor-musician Vasu Raina steps into the spotlight with his major label debut, 'Farebi", released in collaboration with Warner Music India. Equal parts poignant and playful, the track is a tender reflection on love, deception, and the grey area where heartbreak and humour coexist.
Described by Raina as a 'tongue-in-cheek meditation on love," Farebi is more than just a breakup song — it's a narrative continuation of the visual universe that began with his on-screen role in the viral track Maharani. While Raina didn't lend his voice to Maharani, his magnetic presence in the video left a lasting impression. Farebi picks up the emotional thread right where Maharani left off, this time with Raina not just acting, but also taking creative charge of the music.
The music video for Farebi opens in a chaotic hospital, setting the tone with a surreal scene where a human heart is mistakenly swapped with a tiffin box full of samosas. What unfolds is a visual spiral of satire and symbolism — heartbreak framed through absurdity. With its rich cinematic palette and sharp humour, the video turns emotional wreckage into a bizarrely celebratory spectacle.
'Farebi came from a quiet, passing thought — a gentle check-in with the heart that grew into something playful, theatrical, and deeply human," says Raina. 'From the quirky idea of a samosa-filled heart to its raw, conversational lyrics, I wanted it to carry heartbreak with a wink. Working with Warner Music India allowed me to stay true to that voice, blending drama, absurdity, and honesty into something that's both personal and a little bit mad."
The video also marks the return of Karun and Lambo Drive, Raina's co-stars from Maharani. Their on-screen chemistry and off-screen camaraderie lend the sequel both narrative continuity and emotional depth. Directed by Khopcha Films, the video is a testament to what's possible when a group of young, fearless creatives come together with a shared vision.
With its genre-blurring aesthetic and emotionally complex storytelling, Farebi signals the arrival of a bold new voice in Indian pop — one unafraid to mix satire with sincerity, and spectacle with soul. In a musical landscape where visuals matter as much as verses, Vasu Raina's Farebi stands out not just for its sonic appeal, but for the story it dares to tell.

Kingdom Box Office: Vijay Deverakonda starrer collects 44cr worldwide in 2 days

Telugu film Kingdom held moderately well on its second day at the Indian box office, grossing Rs. 9.50 crore approx. The two-day running total of the Vijay Deverakonda starrer is Rs. 27.75 crore approx. The film has collected another Rs. 16 crore (USD 1.85 million) overseas, giving it a worldwide gross of Rs. 43.75 crore. The film is expected to see a surge in business today and again on Sunday. If the growth on the weekend is good, it could aim for Rs. 55 crore extended weekend in India and Rs. 75 crore worldwide. The Day Wise Box Office Collections of Kingdom in India are as follows: While the box office numbers so far are not bad, the high production costs demanded a far stronger opening and a steadier hold. The film now needs to get that big growth on the weekend and then sustain well from there on. This isn't typically associated with Telugu films, which are usually very front-loaded, but that is exactly what Kingdom requires. There are also dubbed versions, which can often lend a helping hand in case of higher investment, but they haven't done so. Tamil has managed some numbers, not enough to make a real impact, while Hindi is a washout. Overseas, the film did well on its North American premiere but hasn't sustained well with collections coming down on the following two days. The Territorial Breakdown for Kingdom is as follows:

Viewers split as Aamir Khan takes Sitaare Zameen Par to YouTube instead of OTT

Every time takes a professional call, it tends to split the crowd – fans, followers, and critics alike. His latest controversy? The YouTube release of Sitaare Zameen Par. At the time of its release, Aamir had stated his film would not be released on any OTT/digital platform. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now His stand was widely appreciated as it seemed to prioritise the larger interests of a struggling industry and audiences over his role as producer and actor. With the film doing well in multiplexes, he was felicitated for his seemingly charitable move. Cut to a press conference on July 30, Aamir announced that Sitaare Zameen Par would be released on YouTube under a pay-per-view model for just `100 and had apparently turned down a `100-crore offer from a streaming platform for the digital rights of his film. This decision has divided netizens and stakeholders on the ground. Some are accusing Aamir of misleading the audience and disrupting the industry's conventional release model: theatrical release first, followed by OTT for home viewing. Others are defending him, claiming YouTube is the original – and still the largest – OTT platform, and that offering the film as a paid title post-theatrical run is a bold, innovative step rather than a betrayal. Hansal Mehta in fact has lauded his approach, as it gives him greater 'creative control'. A timeline of Aamir's stance on OTT release March 9: Speaking against the prevailing OTT-first mentality, Aamir had said, 'We're telling our consumers that you can come and consume our product (film). If you don't, we'll bring it to you in eight weeks (through OTT platforms ), when it will be free of cost as you've already paid for it (through subscription). Tired of too many ads? go ad free now I don't know how to sell a product twice. Earlier, I used to watch movies because I had no option. Now, it's dependent on a fancy for films. So we've killed our own business model.' June 19: Multiplex Association of India (MAI) praised Aamir. 'Aamir Khan has always been a filmmaker who puts the audience first. His decision to bring Sitaare Zameen Par exclusively to cinemas is a significant show of confidence in theatres and the shared magic of the moviegoing experience. Indian exhibitors thank Aamir Khan for standing by theatres,' said Kamal Gianchandani, President of MAI. July 3: In response to his felicitation by theatre owners, Aamir told ANI,'Since I haven't sold the OTT rights and our film is not releasing on OTT, isliye shayad All India Theatre Owners have decided to felicitate me for the step that I have taken. I am happy that they thought about it.' July 30: Aamir apologised for the YouTube release at the press conference. For bypassing OTT giants, he said, 'When I release a film after 8 weeks on a subscription model, people aren't buying my film. They're only subscribing to the OTT platform. It wouldn't matter if a person wants to watch the film or doesn't after subscribing to the platform. It has always been my dream to reach every Indian at a reasonable price so they can afford it,' he added. On his YouTube strategy, he told PTI, 'This is my private cinema chain. Think of it like Aamir Khan Productions has opened a new cinema chain, which is in everyone's house and in everyone's pocket... And that is why I am doing this. I got good offers from OTT channels. But I don't want those ₹100–125 crore from OTT channels. I want to earn ₹100 from my audience. I prefer that more.'
