Flick rates Rashford performance for Barcelona as Yamal and Lingard swap shirts
Hansi Flick praised Marcus Rashford for coming on and making an impact after Barcelona maintained their 100 per cent record in pre-season with a thumping victory over FC Seoul. The Spanish champions have been ramping up their preparations for the upcoming campaign while on tour in South Korea and strolled to a dominant 7-3 win at the Seoul World Cup Stadium on Thursday. Robert Lewandowki opened the scoring before Lamine Yamal completed a brace in a tightly contested first half which ended 3-2, but the visitors showed their quality and pulled out of sight in a one-sided second period. After a brief run-out against Vissel Kobe last time out, Rashford was given 45 minutes to make a difference – and the forward seized his opportunity with both hands as he registered his first assist for the La Liga giants since joining on loan from Manchester United. With Barca holding a 6-3 lead in the closing stages, Rashford picked up the ball 20 yards out with his back to goal. In the blink of an eye, the attacker turned and found Ferran Torres with an exquisite through ball and the ex-Manchester City man made no mistake from close range. Torres made sure to credit to Rashford as he wheeled away to celebrate his second in what was a ruthless second-half display, in which Andreas Christensen and Gavi also found the net. 'Each player had 45 minutes. In the end, I'm happy,' Barcelona head coach Flick said shortly after the final whistle.. 'We had a good start in the first half and then we were a little sluggish, but we returned to a great level. 'In the second half, too, with Gavi, Ferran, Marcus… also Gerard Martin in a position that isn't his usual one.' On Gavi's best position, Flick added: 'He can play as a number six or a number eight. 'We saw him perform at the end of last season and he was at a very good level. 'Here, exactly what I've seen from Gavi is what I want to see: pushing the team forward, wearing the armband. It's good to see him like this.' There was a nice moment at the start of the second period when Rashford was brought on in place of Raphinha to rapturous applause from those Barca fans in attendance at the 66,000-capacity stadium. Rashford was smiling from ear to ear as he ran onto the field to be greeted by former Manchester United team-mate and close friend Jesse Lingard, who now captains FC Seoul. Videos taken in the tunnel after the match show Rashford and Lingard catchig up and chatting at length before they are joined by a certain Lamine Yamal. Yamal, who had earlier been pictured in conversation with Lingard on the pitch, could be seen swapping shirts with the FC Seoul skipper. More Trending After the win, Yamal took the opportunity to thank Barcelona's support who had cheered them on in Korea. 'I'm very happy. This has been my dream since I was little – to score wearing this jersey and this number. It's very special,' he said. I'm thrilled to have scored and for the team's victory Thank you so much for supporting us in every country. We're truly grateful. Hopefully, this season will be very successful and we'll win many trophies. For more stories like this, check our sport page. Glasgow man in court after invading pitch for Cristiano Ronaldo selfie
Hawdin Abdulla approached the former Real Madrid and Manchester United superstar clutching his mobile phone while yelling: "selfie, selfie." But, Abdulla was instead tackled to the ground by security staff and hauled away before he could get to the five times Ballon d'Or winner. It lead to him initially spending a night in police cells and he pleaded guilty at Glasgow Sheriff Court to a single charge of breach of the peace. Scotland had been playing Portugal in a UEFA Nations League quarter final tie which ended 0-0. The game was reaching 80 minutes when Abdulla decided to take his opportunity he had apparently been waiting for his "whole life". "He requested a selfie from him and shouted 'selfie, selfie'. "Abdulla was restrained and removed from the pitch. "When he was arrested he told police officers 'I just wanted to meet my hero'." Sam Henderson, defending, told today's sentencing that the student is an asylum seeker who did a "stupid thing." The lawyer added: "The security staff did not know the reason why he was running on the pitch - he just wanted to meet his hero." Sheriff Joanna McDonald ordered Abdulla, of the city's Dennistoun, to do 75 hours of unpaid work. The sheriff told him: "This was an incredibly foolish thing to do. "Anyone playing football at the level Cristiano Ronaldo was playing does not know why you are running on the pitch. "This can be a frightening experience and the crowd could react. "In the circumstances, a football banning order is not appropriate." Abdulla had spoken after his arrest recalling the moment he tried to fulfil his "dream". He said: "I had been waiting for that moment my whole life. It finally happened even though it is not exactly what I wanted. "For many people, it might not have been a big deal, but, for me, it was a historic night."

England star Hannah Hampton opens up on health condition and turning down surgery
England football hero Hannah Hampton has spoken about her eye condition, which she underwent multiple surgeries for in her younger years England's football sensation, Hannah Hampton, has opened up about her ongoing battle with a long-term eye condition, revealing that despite multiple surgeries, her eyes are "still not straight". The Lioness goalkeeper played a pivotal role in England's recent Euros triumph, fending off numerous Spanish attempts during the penalty shoot-out. Despite suffering from strabismus - an eye condition that affects depth perception - the 24 year old has shown her mettle on the pitch. During her appearance on Good Morning Britain today, she confessed to still experiencing difficulties with her vision. Hannah disclosed that while further surgery for her eye condition is an option, she is reluctant to take the risk. This revelation comes after her triumphant Euros win, defying doctors who had previously told her she wouldn't be able to play football, reports the Mirror. In conversation with GMB's Ed Balls and Kate Garraway, Hannah elaborated: "I was born cross-eyed, I had to undergo multiple surgeries from when I was three and obviously later to correct my vision. To put my eyes straight again, to see if it would help in any way. "They're still not straight. I can go back for more operations but there's always that risk that it won't improve your eyesight. It might make it worse. It's something you've got to weigh up." When presenter Ed noted that things seem to be going rather well for the England star, she responded: "I know! So why change it if it's going well." She later revealed how medics advised her to quit football as a youngster because of her vision problems. "The doctor said I shouldn't play sports because I don't have any depth perception, which basically [means] I can't judge distances. "Which as a keeper, I don't know how it works, but my parents never really told me until I was about 12 or 13 and I was already playing sport... and they would say 'this isn't normal, you shouldn't be doing that' but my parents always said 'if it makes her happy, we're not going to stop her' and I'm glad they didn't take the doctor's advice as I managed to live out my dream." Earlier this week, the football ace disclosed that she had been coping with the devastating loss of her grandfather, who passed away just two days before the Euros kicked off. "Dear Grandpa," she posted on Instagram. "Two days before the biggest tournament of my life, you left. It still doesn't feel real. "I kept thinking when I'd call nannie I'd hear your voice again - one of your jokes, or one of those little comments you'd make that somehow said everything without saying much at all. You were one of my biggest supporters. You believed in me before I even knew what this journey would look like." She further expressed her sorrow that he wasn't able to see her debut at her first major tournament, stating: "But I know, deep down, you were still there. I felt you with me. In the tunnel. On the pitch. In the tough moments. I heard you in my head when I needed strength."
