Nadda apologises to Kharge for ‘mental balance' remark during Operation Sindoor debate, withdraws it
After Kharge concluded his speech, Nadda accused the Congress chief of 'losing his mental balance', in connection with the remarks made against PM Modi. Nadda further demanded that Kharge's statements be expunged because they were made in a 'flow of emotions'.
Responding to the 'mental balance' remark, Kharge said that Nadda was one of the ministers in the NDA government whom he respected and added it was a matter of shame that such remarks were made.
Following this, Nadda got up to say that he had already 'taken back' his words, while adding that if they hurt Kharge's feelings, he would apologise for the same.
'I have already taken back my words, but if they have hurt his (Kharge's) feelings, I apologise for the same,' Nadda said. However, he added that Kharge had 'crossed limits' and made remarks against PM Modi 'in passion and out of emotion", asking for these to be expunged.
'He has long experience. The choice of words used during his speech did not reflect his stature,' Nadda said.

ED will visit Khotkar's home for 3rd time, says Gorantyal
Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: Within a day of joining BJP, Jalna's former three-time MLA Kailash Gorantyal claimed that the Enforcement Directorate had twice visited Shiv Sena's five-time MLA Arjun Khotkar's residence, and the ED is expected to visit him for a third time in the Dhule cash seizure case. When contacted, Gorantyal confirmed his statement and said he felt compelled to respond after Khotkar began making personal comments about him during a live debate. DMK Rajya Sabha Member P. Wilson on Saturday said amendments to the Waqf Act brought about in 1995 were sufficient, and the BJP's decision to form a committee and its actions were 'oppressive'. Speaking at the 'Save Waqf, Save Constitution' panel discussion organised by the All India Muslims Personal Law Board (AIMPLB), he said Chief Minister M.K. Stalin passed a resolution in the Assembly when the Waqf (Amendments) Act, 2025, was introduced in Parliament. 'Only the BJP opposed the resolution and staged a walkout from the Assembly. Raja and M.M. Abdullah, who travelled across India for over nine months and participated in consultative meetings and opposed the amendments.
