Inter Milan Eyeing Move to Sign £40m Manchester United Star
Zirkzee to Inter? Serie A Move Could Signal Turning Point in United Striker's Career
Joshua Zirkzee arrived at Manchester United with promise, flair and a £40 million price tag. A season later, the Dutch forward finds himself on the fringes of the squad, having scored just 7 goals in 48 appearances. With frequent spells on the bench and question marks over his impact, it's little surprise to see his name surface again in the transfer columns.

According to Corriere Dello Sport, Inter Milan are considering a move for Zirkzee this summer. The Italian outlet notes that, 'after this disappointing year (just 7 goals in 48 appearances with a lot of benching), the Dutchman needs to relaunch himself.'
Serie A, a league he knows well from his time at Bologna, could provide just the stage for that reset. Inter, fresh from another dominant domestic campaign and recognised now as a regular feature in the Champions League, present an enticing destination.
Should United fail to defeat Tottenham in the Europa League final on 22 May, they would also miss out on Champions League qualification — weakening their bargaining position further.

Inter's Strategy: Smart, Scalable, Sensible
Inter's proposal is a loan with an option to buy — a model the Nerazzurri have used successfully in the past. As reported by Corriere Dello Sport, 'The idea of the Nerazzurri club, however, is to propose to United a loan with the right to buy, which, perhaps, under certain conditions, could turn into an obligation.'

It's a pragmatic approach. Zirkzee's salary — £3.5 million per season plus bonuses — wouldn't stretch Inter's wage bill, and the initial outlay is mitigated by the loan structure. Crucially, the striker's value has dipped from last summer's figure. For United, this may feel like a poor return on investment, but given his form, they may be tempted to cut their losses.
United's Striker Situation Complicates the Exit
Zirkzee's struggles aren't isolated. United are reportedly 'dissatisfied with Hojlund's performance,' and have already started scouting for another striker. In this context, it's unclear whether the club would sanction Zirkzee's departure without securing at least one replacement.
Manager Ruben Amorim will need a deep, dynamic attacking group if United are to mount a stronger campaign next season. With only Premier League fixtures to focus on (should they lose to Spurs), playing time will be harder to come by, particularly if Amorim recruits a new number nine.

From that angle, it 'is likely that they too would welcome a new arrangement for Zirkzee,' the report concludes.
Inter's Broader Forward Hunt
Zirkzee is not the only name on Inter's shortlist. As Corriere Dello Sport revealed, 'for the attack, there are other names in the crosshairs.' Giacomo Raspadori could be considered if Napoli make a move for Davide Frattesi, while Adrian Bonny of Parma is viewed as a potential fourth-choice striker.

Each of these names signals Inter's desire to build a versatile front line, with a mix of technical profiles. Zirkzee, whose height and close control make him a unique prospect, still fits the bill — but he's now one of several options, not the only one.
Our View – EPL Index Analysis
From a Manchester United perspective, this story hits a few nerves. Fans were hopeful that Zirkzee could provide something different: a forward with flair, intelligent movement, and physical presence. But under two managers and in multiple systems, he hasn't delivered.
Now with Ruben Amorim at the helm, there's cautious optimism about his ability to develop young talent — a skill he displayed at Sporting Lisbon. But there's also realism. If Zirkzee hasn't found form after nearly 50 appearances, perhaps a change of scenery is in his best interest.

What's worrying is the broader issue in attack. If both Zirkzee and Hojlund are struggling, and there's already talk of yet another striker, it suggests a systemic problem rather than just a form issue. Amorim needs to decide quickly whether Zirkzee fits into his future, or whether he becomes another expensive misfire.
From a fan's view, a loan move to Inter isn't the worst outcome. It protects value, offers regular minutes in a competitive league, and — crucially — gives Zirkzee a chance to regain confidence. Should he thrive, United can either bring him back or command a better fee. It's a pivot point for the player, and one that may quietly define the club's summer strategy.

Local barber brings big city feel to small town studio
BOARDMAN, Ohio (WKBN) – A new barbershop in Boardman is looking to add some local barbers to the team. Kiernan Kiske opened the doors to Stylogarten Barber Studio March 1. Growing up in Poland, Kiernan Kiske wanted to be a tattoo artist, but he could never find a place to learn. Eventually, he got tired of his desk job and took a leap, applying to barber school. 'At that time, the only one around was in Niles — Raphael's, and so that was whenever I quit my job the day that I signed up. I never really thought about cutting hair, but I was like, let's give it a shot,' Kiske said. From that point on, Kiske fell in love with cutting hair. Starting in 2020, he spent five years in a space with other artists until this March, when he opened his own studio — Stylogarten on Market Street. 'I wanted to create my own space. I'd collect a lot of art, Italian glass, very much in arts and culture. I thought that would be my first step into trying to curate a spot that doesn't necessarily look like a barbershop, a traditional barbershop,' Kiske said. Kiske says he loves the freedom of self-employment, and he was excited to bring his own style to the new studio. 'I had this spot open up, and it kind of just seemed to be the perfect timing. I was ready to expand, and my clientele was growing a lot, so I was like, maybe I need a bigger space. Maybe I could start bringing on some other guys who see the same vision as me,' Kiske said. Stylogarten has five open spots that Kiske is looking to fill with local barbers over the next two years. Though the walls of his studio are lined with a wide variety of paintings and decor, he's keeping those five booths empty so any new barbers can bring their own touch to the studio. 'I am trying to make it way more personalized for barbers where they could really make their own hours as long as they're staying consistent. I give them their booth. If they want to add lighting, add lighting. If they want to put up art, put up art. It's yours,' Kiske said. Kiske says he's not only looking for seasoned barbers, but he's willing to use his eight years of experience as a mentor. 'I have five spots open. I would love to have some cool barbers here that kind of see the vision that I'm going for, kind of giving a big city feel to the small town,' he said. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. Milan run into problems for Vlahovic, Rabiot and Zinchenko
Milan are trying to give Max Allegri reinforcements, but Adrien Rabiot wants to stay at Olympique Marseille, while Dusan Vlahovic and Oleksandr Zinchenko salaries are a problem. The coach has taken a year off after the tempestuous end to his Juve experience and is back on the bench next season at San Siro. Milan targets too costly epa11726450 France's midfielder Adrien Rabiot (C) celebrates after scoring the opening goal during the UEFA Nations League soccer match between Italy and France at the Giuseppe Meazza stadium in Milan, Italy, 17 November 2024. EPA-EFE/DANIEL DAL ZENNARO According to Sky Sport Italia transfer pundit Gianluca Di Marzio, Allegri wants to reunite with Rabiot, but that will be practically impossible. Advertisement This is because Olympique Marseille do not want to sell, but the player also is comfortable at his current club and has no real intention of leaving already. When it comes to the strikers, Vlahovic remains the first choice, though here too there are bound to be some major problems. That is caused by his salary, which is also the main reason why Juventus are trying to sell this summer rather than renew the contract that expires in June 2026. An alternative to Vlahovic for that role would be Atalanta hitman and Serie A Capocannoniere Mateo Retegui. However, here too the wages he is currently earning at Arsenal are considered outlandish for the Rossoneri, who failed to qualify for Europe and therefore took a hit to their revenue.
