Holly Willoughby faces court battle over £300k unpaid tax bill
Holly Willoughby faces a court battle over a £300,000 outstanding tax bill.
Roxy Media, the media production and management firm which was formerly run by Dan Baldwin, the TV presenter's husband, was hit with a winding-up order earlier this month, according to fresh filings.
The order means that His Majesty's Revenue & Customs (HMRC) could seek to shut down the business over unpaid taxes.
Willoughby and Mr Baldwin set up Roxy Media, which specialises in managing media clients, in 2020.
The size of the tax issue is not known. However, Roxy Media's most recent set of accounts showed that it owed £329,715 in corporation tax for the year to August 2023.
The Dancing On Ice presenter is represented by the firm after stepping aside from agency YMU.
It comes after Willoughby walked away from her role on the ITV1 programme This Morning after it emerged that security guard Gavin Plumb, 37, was plotting to kidnap, rape and kill her.
She stepped down from the show five months after her co-star Phillip Schofield, 62, also left following reports of his affair with a junior colleague.
Plumb was sentenced to life with a 16-year minimum term in July of last year following a trial at Chelmsford Crown Court.
Willoughby has since returned to host ITV1's Dancing on Ice and is also appearing in Celebrity Bear Hunt, where 12 celebrities become prey for legendary survival expert Bear Grylls.
A hearing related to the issue was set to take place in London on Wednesday, but was adjourned.
It is understood that a new hearing is scheduled to take place on April 16.
An HMRC spokeswoman said: 'We take a supportive approach to dealing with customers who have tax debts and only file winding-up petitions once we've exhausted all other options, in order to protect taxpayers' money.'

Sam Thompson reveals Soccer Aid appearance is hanging by a thread – and horrifying after-effects of 260 mile bike ride
SAM Thompson has revealed his Soccer Aid appearance is hanging in the balance as he continues to recover from his gruelling charity run. The I'm A Celeb king, 34, raised more than £1.5m for Unicef by running and biking 260 miles from Stamford Bridge, Chelsea, to Old Trafford, Manchester, where the game will be played at the weekend. 4 Sam Thompson's body is in bits after he ran and biked 260 miles Credit: Splash 4 He's in good spirits even though he might not be able to play at the weekend Credit: Instagram Sam carried the matchday ball in a backpack for the duration of the journey and was joined by famous pals at various points as they tried to motivate him through the pain barrier. Speaking on Hits Radio today, Sam revealed his battered body is still suffering. He said: "I am so tired but elated. I'm so glad we got it done... "Never again [am I getting on a bike] I think I'm prone to saddle issues! After day one I still to this point can't feel bits of my privates. I'm being deadly serious! "The bike is a wild thing, Tracey who was with me going up these hills when we were skirting round the edge of Wales, that was mad and you're just going so slowly and you feel like your bike is going to topple over! I did think to myself this is the first time I've ridden a bike in so long..." Detailing how adapting for one leg issue has aggravated others, Sam continued: "Because I was running in a different way my shin was really inflamed so I couldn't even run on my tiptoes so I was running side to side. "I describe it as plugging holes, so like the calf tears so that's one hole you've got to plug so then I run on my tiptoes with my leg straight. "OK well that then messes up my ankle ligaments because everything is running through your ankle; then your ankle ligament explodes so then you can't do that... you're trying to play chess against yourself, whilst trying not to panic because I can't move my leg and it's still pretty bad." Though it's up in the air if he'll be fit in time to step onto the pitch at the weekend, Sam is still going to be a presence at training sessions in the build up under the care of Gary the physio. He said: "I'm just going to go lie on his bed every single day and get a rub down...!" Sam Thompson breaks down in tears as he's comforted by sister Louise and family after completing 260-mile endurance challenge on This Morning Sam cuddled his sister Louise after finishing the challenge but his girlfriend Samie Elishi wasn't in attendance. He also received a phone call from Orlando Bloom in the This Morning studio who congratulated him on the superhuman effort. Chris Hughes, Ryan Libbey and Josh Patterson were all on hand at various points of the challenge to offer support. This Sunday's game will see huge celebs battle it out in an England XI v World XI. ITV Shardlake: Full cast list and when it will be on TV
The historical mystery novels are set during the reign of King Henry VIII during the 16th Century. This was brought to life in a four-part series, which was released on Disney in 2024, and now the episodes will be broadcast on ITV1 over the coming weeks. The series will follow Matthew Shardlake (Hughes), a 16th-century lawyer tasked with investigating a murder at a monastery. A synopsis on the Radio Times website says: "Idealistic lawyer Matthew Shardlake (Arthur Hughes) works for Thomas Cromwell (Sean Bean) and is dedicated to serving justice and the Crown. "He is flanked by cocky assistant Jack Barak (Anthony Boyle), who could be a spy for Cromwell. "Shardlake is living with scoliosis and is rudely dismissed as a 'crookback' by Tudor society as he carries out his duties. "Weathering the verbal abuse, Shardlake and Barak travel to the remote town of Scarnsea to investigate the murder of a commissioner, who was gathering evidence for Cromwell to close the local monastery." Discussing the show, writer Stephen Butchard explained how, despite the historical setting, there were plenty of aspects that could relate to modern times. As reported by the Radio Times, he said: "We don't change. This is the 16th century, but the same things are going on today. "With the dissolution of the monasteries, the money was supposedly going for the benefit of the common people, but that didn't happen, it ended up in the hands of the king and Cromwell. "And that happens today. Contracts [...] end up going to friends of [politicians], and fast-tracks and stuff like that. "We do not change, politicians don't change. But the good thing also is that there are always good people and that's what this is about. This is about good men, good women, it's about the good people just as much as it is about the villainous people." Disney Plus confirmed in January 2025 that they were not planning to make another series of Shardlake, despite there being more books to potentially adapt.
