Call of Duty Black Ops 7 leak hints at return of 2 iconic zombies maps

Time of Indiaa day ago

The undead are rising again, and this time, they might be crawling out of two of the most iconic maps in Call of Duty Zombies history. If the latest insider leaks are true,
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7
is gearing up for a nostalgic trip back to where it all went off the rails:
TranZit
and
Mob of the Dead
. Here's everything we know about the rumor so far
A New Era of Black Ops Zombies ?
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is already generating serious buzz ahead of its release later this year. The return of David Mason, the psychological thriller-style campaign, and a full-blown round-based Zombies mode have fans on high alert. But what really shook the community? A trusted insider
@TheGhostOfHope
just teased the return of two legendary Zombies maps:
TranZit
and
Mob of the Dead
.

TranZit: Love It or Hate It, It's Back
First introduced in
Black Ops 2
,
TranZit
was ambitious. It was messy, chaotic, and borderline broken at times. But it was also one of the most innovative Zombies maps ever created — spanning multiple zones connected by a ramshackle bus and fog-filled danger zones.
Now, rumors suggest
TranZit
will be
reimagined
for Black Ops 7. Not just polished — expanded. Think bigger, smoother traversal, fewer interruptions, and updated visuals worthy of next-gen platforms.
It could become the largest Zombies map in CoD history if the speculation holds true.
Mob of the Dead: A Second Return?
Mob of the Dead was a masterpiece set in Alcatraz — haunting, atmospheric, and brutally difficult. It already saw a revival as
Blood of the Dead
in Black Ops 4. So why bring it back again?
Well, fans are divided. Some feel it's too soon. Others believe this could be a chance to revisit the prison in a totally fresh way, especially since the BO7 teaser trailer briefly showed what looked like a prison block.
Whether it's a full-scale return or a new twist, it's clear Activision knows how to tug on the nostalgic heartstrings.

Why It Matters
These rumored returns aren't just fan service. They signal a direction. Treyarch could be aiming to blend the old with the new by creating a Zombies mode that respects the past while pushing the format forward.
If done right,
Black Ops 7
could become the title that finally unifies the fractured Zombies community, bringing veterans and new players together for a wild, undead ride.

While Activision hasn't confirmed anything yet, the buzz around
TranZit
and
Mob of the Dead
is very real. With a full reveal expected this summer and a release planned for later this year,
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7
might just be the ultimate comeback for Zombies fans. Keep your eyes on the shadows. The bus might be rolling out soon, and it's not stopping for anyone.

Call of Duty Black Ops 7 pre-order date leaked online

Image via Activision. After so much anticipation, Activision has finally announced Call of Duty Black Ops 7. During the recently concluded Xbox Games Showcase on June 8, 2025, this highly awaited title was officially revealed with a teaser, which also confirmed the return of none other than David Mason. After 2024's Black Ops 6, we are heading straight towards Black Ops 7 and the probable reason for that might be the former's huge success. The upcoming title is slated to be released in the late 2025, exact release dates to be confirmed later. However, we might have already got the pre-order details. Call of Duty Black Ops 7 pre-order rumored to begin very soon Call of Duty Black Ops 7 was revealed just a few days ago with a 3-minute long official teaser, which gave us the first look at the game along with the return of David Mason, the face of this popular COD sub-series. This teaser also gave us an idea of the setting of the game, an epic return of the franchise's futuristic backdrop, which is set more than 40 years after Black Ops 6 and more than a decade after Black Ops 2. Now, this is a pretty small time span to claim that, but a Twitter user might have gotten the pre-order date of this game, just two days after its official reveal. As per CharlieIntel, this user named Icey somehow got his hands on the official Black Ops 7 poster from GameStop, and according to this fan these retail shops are informed that the pre-order of this upcoming title is going to begin on June 20, 2025. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Giao dịch vàng CFDs với sàn môi giới tin cậy IC Markets Tìm hiểu thêm Undo Now, this information also aligns with a theory which claims that the game is going to get a full reveal on the same date, as this exact date was seen in the 'Cordis Die - A Newer World' YouTube video by Raul Menendez in the Black Ops 2 timeline. This date was also seen in the official key art of Black Ops 7. Even if this happens, then it shouldn't be a surprising fact to the fans as pre-order of Black Ops 6 started on the same day it was first officially revealed, on June 9, 2024. However, as all of these mere speculations and rumors, nothing should be taken for granted and we must wait for the official confirmation from Activision. Call of Duty Warzone ranked bug fix accidentally boosts players by 5,000 SR

Image via Activision. Fans were pretty much excited with the arrival of Season 4 in Call of Duty Black Ops 6 and Warzone. This highly anticipated season has brought so much new and returning content like Fugitive 6v6, One in the Chamber, new POI in Verdansk, and many more. But who thought that this update would also bring a lot of bugs and glitches with itself that would totally disrupt the gameplay. From stutters and glitches to unfair exploitation of the maps, fans saw everything after the arrival of Season 4. But the most frustrating was the Ranked match glitch in Warzone. However, Activision might have escalated the situation by trying to fix this particular issue. Call Of Duty Warzone Ranked glitch fix backfires the ranking system Activision released a patch on June 2 to fix all the already mentioned bugs and glitches in the game after the release of Season 4. Amidst all of these issues, there was a game-breaking bug due to which, fans were unable to get their deserving Skill Rating (SR) after a Ranked match. However, this issue wasn't fixed completely with the June 2 patch and Activision later on released another patch on June 11 to eradicate the bug completely and caused some players to start Season 4 at a lower rank than it was supposed to. The affected players were granted with missing SR due to the previous bug since the Season began to compensate for the loss. But tables were turned over everyone's head when it was realized that these players actually gained a massive SR boost. This boost was reported to be even as high as 5,000, which severely impacted the leaderboard, as many lower-ranked players even jumped into the top 250. The decision of giving away SR to the affected players was actually a great idea, but no one realized that this idea would have backfired so hard. As a consequence, this leaderboard error has led to serious criticism towards Call of Duty regarding its Ranked play integrity, as most players in the top 250 leaderboard didn't have to break a sweat to get a spot in there. Now it's up to Activision itself on how it will fix this mess, which was created by it in the first place. Read More: Call of Duty Black Ops 7 leak hints at return of 2 iconic zombies maps
