Myles Smith eyes collaboration with 'great friend' Ed Sheeran
Myles Smith hopes to collaborate with "great friend" Ed Sheeran.
The 'Stargazing' hitmaker - who had the biggest song of 2024 in the UK and just received his first Ivor Novello - is set to support the 'Bad Habits' hitmaker at his stadium shows and he's hopeful their friendship will lead to them hitting the studio together in the future.
Speaking to Contact Music at BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend in Liverpool on Saturday (24.05.25), Myles said of supporting Ed: "[I am] playing stadiums for the first time. It's pretty nuts; but I'm really excited for the challenge."
Asked if he and Ed plan to collaborate, he replied: "Not at the moment, no. But he is a great friend, so hopefully in the future."
Meanwhile, Myles has admitted he "never imagined" being named on Time 100's list of most influential people.
The 26-year-old star has enjoyed a meteoric rise over the last year, and Myles has admitted to being caught "off-guard" when he was named alongside the likes of Serena Williams and Mark Zuckerberg on the prestigious Time 100 list.
He told the BBC: "That one caught me off guard. I never imagined I'd end up in it. It's mad.
"I think I just felt really grateful, you know? To be recognised on that level for doing something I love."
Myles' 2024 single, 'Stargazing', has already been streamed more than one billion times, and he's been amazed by the song's success.
He said: "You always hope people connect with a song, but 'Stargazing' just seemed to take on a life of its own."
Asked why the single has become so popular, Myles replied: "I think it's the honesty in it - everyone's either been through heartbreak or held on to hope when they probably shouldn't have.
"It's simple, but it's real. And I think people felt that."

Chucky actor Ed Gale dead aged 61
Ed Gale has died aged 61. The actor – best known for portraying murderous doll Chucky in the 'Child's Play' horror franchise, passed away suddenly while under investigation for alleged attempts to solicit sex from minors, it emerged on Wednesday. (28.05.25.) His family said in a statement: 'It is with a heavy heart and a surprisingly light coffin (see what I did there?) that we announce the sudden passing of our uncle. 'Ed Gale has taken his final bow and is now headlining in the afterlife.' Authorities in Los Angeles had launched an inquiry into scandalous claims against the actor, with the Los Angeles Times reporting Ed had admitted to engaging in sexually explicit conversations with someone he believed to be a teenage boy and had attempted to arrange a meeting. Born in Michigan, Ed suffered from dwarfism, standing at just 3ft 4in. He left his hometown at the age of 20, travelling to California with $41 and the goal of becoming an actor. His family added in their tribute: 'Ed hitched a ride to California when he was twenty years old, with $41 and a dream, and he never looked back. 'He lit up the silver screens in cult classic films like 'Howard the Duck' and 'Chopper Chicks in Zombietown', earning himself some serious street cred at every con he attended. Which he never stopped bragging about. Ever.' Ed's breakout role came in 1986 when he played the titular character in the cult film 'Howard the Duck'. Two years later, he was cast as the physical performer for Chucky in the 1988 film 'Child's Play', a role he reprised in sequels over the next decade. He became known for his work across more than 130 film, television and commercial credits, often appearing in science fiction and horror genres. In addition to 'Child's Play', Ed gained a loyal following for his performances in films such as 'Chopper Chicks in Zombietown', and his presence at fan conventions became a regular part of his public life. Before his death, the Los Angeles Times reported police had launched an investigation following allegations the actor had communicated sexually with people he believed to be underage. The report stated Ed had admitted to the accusations during questioning. No further details have been released regarding the circumstances of his death.

JADE hints at Little Mix reunion as she wows at first solo concert at Radio 1's Big Weekend
Jade Thirlwall hinted at a Little Mix reunion while performing the girl group's 2018 hit 'Wasabi' at Radio 1's Big Weekend. The 'Angel of My Dreams' singer played her debut solo show at the youth radio station's annual gathering, which took place at Liverpool's Sefton Park this weekend. As well as doing a medley of their greatest hits - 'Shout Out to My Ex', 'Sweet Melody', 'Woman Like Me' and 'Touch' - earlier in the set on Sunday (25.05.25), while performing 2018's 'Wasabi', JADE switched the lyrics to: "I bet they gonna break up ... It's a hiatus!" The lyric swap suggests the girls - also including Perrie Edwards and Leigh-Anne Pinnock - have plans to get back together after going on an indefinite break in 2022. JADE - who has ditched her last name for her solo career - also thanked her bandmates for getting her where she is today. She said: "Guys do you remember I was in a girl band, oh gosh you're still going, I just want to say I love the Little Mix girls with all my heart. "I'm so so grateful to the girls. If it wasn't for them, I wouldn't be here today on my own. So shout out Little Mix!" The set saw JADE deliver the live debut of unreleased solo song 'Plastic Box'. JADE is set to release her debut solo album, 'That's Showbiz Baby!', on September 12. Despite their huge fame and earnings, Little Mix were rocked by Jesy Nelson's decision to quit the group in December 2020. Leigh-Anne previously said the remaining three members of the band secretly sought therapy after Jesy's abrupt exit. She said in her autobiography 'Believe': 'It was a complex and painful thing to come to terms with. We all felt it, that pain and sadness. 'The whole thing felt like a weird break-up, and I wasn't prepared for it."
