An irate passenger lashed out at French airport employees in a profanity-laced outburst when her New York-bound flight never took off.
The unidentified woman's viral blow-up occurred inside Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport on July 3 after her Norse Atlantic Airways flight to JFK was cancelled due to the nationwide air traffic controller strike.
'F***ing b***h, I need my medication,' the passenger screamed at a female airline worker, according to video captured by fellow passenger Erianne Freign.
The screaming woman was among a group of angry travellers who were searching for answers after they were notified their flights were cancelled because of the strike that disrupted service in and around France on July 3 and 4.
The airline staffer seemingly avoided the passenger and walked away from the check-in desk during the tirade.
The unruly customer, who Ms Freign said was travelling with her two children, continued her meltdown as airport police surrounded her.
Several airport law enforcement officials grabbed the woman and pulled her behind the counter, where she was detained.
'It was quite an intense reaction,' Ms Freign, 27, said. 'I understand why she would be upset because the airline was being so unhelpful.
Ms Freign blamed Norse Atlantic for triggering the outburst and claimed staff weren't being helpful to the annoyed passengers who learned their late flight was cancelled.
'She just wanted some accommodation for her and her two kids because they had cancelled the flight in the middle of the night.'
The woman said she was diabetic and needed her medication that was in her checked bag.
'You can tell she was in a panic but I don't think she should have used such strong language,' Ms Freign added.
'Especially because the people on the desk aren't responsible.'
Officers pinned the woman to a back wall as onlookers yelled in support for the traveller.
The agents talked with the enraged passenger, who continued to shout at the airline employee.
Police eventually calmed the mother down and allowed her to return to the other side of the check-in counter.
'Due to issues in Paris early July, including the Air Traffic Control strike in France, we experienced unfortunate and temporary irregularities,' Norse Atlantic Airways told the New York Post.
'Passengers were, and will be further followed up. We are unable to comment on specific passenger incidents out of respect for the privacy of those involved. Our team always prioritises the safety and wellbeing of our passengers.'
Ms Freign said the airline agents weren't being helpful with the situation, advising passengers they had to cancel their own ticket on the original flight before rebooking with another airline, but ticket prices were expensive.
Travellers who couldn't afford to buy an additional ticket or hotel accommodations stayed the night at the airport, including the annoyed woman.
Ms Freign rebooked her flight, saying the last-minute ticket cost her $US1,285 – $A1900.
She is now looking for a refund but is finding it difficult to speak with the airline.
'I still haven't gotten a refund from my original flight but I am emailing with them,' the 27-year-old model said.
'I've just been really disappointed with how it was handled.'

Amanda told the court Thorpe had found Covid lockdown 'very difficult' and 'stressful'. His dad Geoff agreed with the statement, saying: 'Everything was fine until Covid.' He said Thorpe was 'not a fella who likes to be cooped up' and also told how his son's life had come 'crashing down' when he lost his job with the ECB. Geoff continued: 'What you've got to realise is sometimes us chaps are a little bit macho – we can cope. 'In fact, we can't.' The inquest was told Thorpe was dismissed from his role following an 'incident' surrounding a viral video. According to reports at the time, the video was filmed after a dismal Ashes series which England lost 4-0. It showed Tasmanian police breaking up a drinking session involving both England and Australia players. The leak of the footage caused Thorpe to be dismissed from ECB and he ended up in hospital for eight weeks due to a suicide attempt in 2022. Assistant coroner Jonathan Stevens said: 'Things continued to go downhill, he was really struggling, had anxiety and insomnia and it was all really dark.' Thorpe made repeated threats to kill himself and by June 2024, he lost interest in food and 'wanted to hide away, totally isolated, in real crisis and despair', the court heard. On August 4 that year, he left home and was never seen alive again. Amanda believed he had gone out to walk the dog but saw the pet at home still so tried to call her husband. The court heard she then received a call from Thorpe's dad telling her: 'He's gone'. Amanda added: 'He never really recovered from (his first suicide) attempt. 'He came back from the tour of Australia in a terrible state – lots of things, the video, the environment, the set-up. 'To be sacked after that I think it was foreseeable that it would be really really hard on him.' Thorpe made his international debut in 1993 and scored a century on his first Ashes appearance, becoming the first England player to do so in 20 years. He was an England regular and went on to play 100 Tests, scoring 16 centuries and featuring 82 times for the ODI side, as well as enjoying a 17-year career with Surrey. His final Test appearance came in June 2005 before he was omitted from that summer's victorious Ashes series and called time on his international career. The inquest continues. This is the shocking moment a female Ryanair passenger was left sobbing on her knees after being banned from boarding her flight. The tearful woman was left hitting a door in an emotional outburst as airport staff reportedly told her that her hand luggage was too big. Chaos unfolded at Sofia Airport in Bulgaria when the woman was left screaming, sobbing and venting her frustration over Ryanair's strict baggage policy. A packed flight was due to board a bus to their plane when the female passenger was stopped in the queue. Nikolay Stefanov, a witness to the shocking ordeal, said the woman was told she had to pay for extra baggage because her luggage didn't fit in the holdall. The woman refused to pay as she explained her bag could in fact fit. Footage shows her trying to force her bag into the luggage rack by slamming it in. The bag does eventually fit but the staff still refuse to let her board. She then breaks down in tears as she pleads with a member of the border police and takes a video of the bag which is now wedged inside the rack. Dozens of the passengers were seen watching on from behind a glass door which was all that separated them from the weeping woman. Determined to board, she then starts to bang on the door and ask for help as Mr Stefanov films the sad ordeal. More staff quickly surround the woman as her begging grows louder. At one point she even drops to her knees before placing her hand on the door as tears roll down her face. Mr Stefanov said the whole situation 'escalated quickly'. 'She was pleading with us not to leave, but we were threatened that the entire flight would be cancelled if we didn't get on the bus, so passengers became frightened and left,' he said. Mr Stefanov said many onlookers were also shocked by how the staff treated her with next to no compassion. It has also been claimed that another passenger stood behind the woman in line was removed from the flight. A Ryanair staff member allegedly said that they couldn't let him on because 'reopening the gate risked the woman trying to get on the bus'. The viral footage soon caught the eye of Bulgaria's parliament. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport Grozdan Karadjov has reportedly ordered an inspection of the airport's security cameras. Mr Karadjov is even said to have described the behaviour of employees in the video as 'outrageous', reports. He has assured people that the main ground operator will be found and given the 'highest fine' and a verbal warning. In response, Goldair Handling Bulgaria insisted their employees acted 'professionally and without any physical contact with the passenger'. The handling company released a statement to BNT News that read: 'All rules regarding passengers' baggage, its permissible size and the fees payable for baggage are determined solely, entirely and unilaterally by the airlines. 'Goldair Handling Bulgaria OOD is solely obliged to monitor compliance with these rules by the airlines. 'This also applies to hand luggage, as Goldair Handling Bulgaria OOD is obliged to monitor the dimensions of this baggage and collect excess baggage fees. '[Staff] acted professionally and without any physical contact with the passenger.' It comes as Ryanair's CEO is considering increasing bonuses paid to staff for spotting oversized luggage. The budget airline currently pays staff approximately €1.50 (AU$2.66) for stopping passengers with oversized bags from boarding the aircraft. Currently, staff bonuses for doing this are capped at €80 (AU$143) a month. Passengers who are unlucky enough to get caught out by the airline's staff are charged a fee of up to €75 (AU$134) for bringing luggage that is larger than they paid for while booking their journey.
