Did Travis Scott Diss Pusha T On His New ‘Jackboys 2' Album?

Yahoo2 days ago
Travis Scott seems to have responded—albeit subtly but sharply—to recent personal jabs made by Pusha T, using his new Jackboys 2 compilation as a platform to break his silence.
Released on Sunday (July 13), the highly anticipated project features Cactus Jack Records mainstays like Don Toliver, Sheck Wes, and SoFaygo, along with guest appearances from Playboi Carti, Future, GloRilla, Bun B, and others.
However, it's Scott's own verse on the track 'Champain & Vacay' that's drawing the most attention, with fans and critics alike noting what seems to be a pointed lyrical response to Pusha's recent character attacks.
On the song, Scott raps, 'Yeah, man, I swear these old ni**as kill me/ Know my YNs feel me/ They just want the real me, yeah/ Blue Bugatti, I'm dodgin' TMZ/ Made a hundred off pushin' T's/ Now my phone on DND, yeah.'
While he doesn't name Pusha directly, the line 'Made a hundred off pushin' T's' is widely interpreted as a play on the Virginia rapper's name. The verse also seemingly mocks Pusha's age and hints at the drama swirling in the media—particularly surrounding TMZ coverage.
The rift between the two artists reportedly stems from Scott allowing Drake to take shots at both Pharrell Williams and Pusha T on the UTOPIA track 'Meltdown.' According to Pusha, the moment felt like a betrayal, particularly since the two had just shared a studio session in Paris.
In a GQ interview, Pusha recalled: 'He came to [Pharrell's] studio. He interrupted a session… He's smiling, laughing, jumping around, doing his f**king monkey dance… And then a week later you hear 'Meltdown,' which he didn't play.'
Pusha later doubled down on his disapproval, confirming speculation that lines from the Clipse's Let God Sort Em Out track 'So Be It' were aimed squarely at Travis: 'You cried in front of me, you died in front of me/ Calabasas took your bi*ch and your pride in front of me… Lucky I ain't TMZ it, so be it, so be it.'
While Travis doesn't address every accusation directly, 'Champain & Vacay' suggests he's not ignoring the shots fired. Instead, he's choosing to respond the way he knows best: through the music.

How Pete Davidson Feels Amid Elsie Hewitt Pregnancy

Yesterday, you may have heard that Pete Davidson is expecting his first child with girlfriend Elsie Hewitt. TMZ was first to report the news, which was later confirmed by the model herself in an Instagram post captioned, "Welp now everyone knows we had sex." The two were first publicly linked together in March and have been reportedly living together in NYC. Following the news, a number of sources spoke to People about how the expectant parents are doing. One insider told the publication, "They're both very nurturing people and are very, very happy together and to be starting a family." "They've been sharing privately with loved ones, and it's a really sweet time after everything Pete has overcome. He's so excited. He's always wanted to be a dad," they continued. Another source echoed that the couple is "happy" and "cannot wait to welcome their baby." They further said of Pete, "He's more intentional about who he lets into his life now, and with Elsie, it was never about headlines or the spotlight, and that's exactly what he needs." This echoes what Pete said in 2022: 'My favorite thing ever, which I have yet to achieve is, I wanna have a kid. That's, like, my dream." Calling himself 'so excited for that chapter," he continued, 'That's kind of what I'm just preparing for now, is just trying to be as good as a dude and develop and get better so when that happens it's just easier." All the best to 'em!

Taylor Swift's Dad Scott Recovering After Undergoing Heart Surgery

NEED TO KNOW Taylor Swift's dad Scott is on the road to recovery after undergoing a heart procedure, PEOPLE confirms Scott had had quintuple bypass surgery just over a month ago The pop superstar, her brother Austin and their mom Andrea have all been by Scott's side throughout the surgery and recovery processTaylor Swift's dad Scott is recovering after undergoing a heart procedure. Scott Swift, 73, had quintuple bypass surgery just over a month ago and is well on the road to recovery, PEOPLE has confirmed. The news was first published by TMZ. The pop superstar, 35, has been by her dad's side, along with her brother Austin, 33, and their mom Andrea, 67, throughout the entire surgery and recovery process. The procedure occurred after Scott went in for a check-up and his doctor noticed something that led to the operation. The procedure was not the result of a heart attack. According to the Mayo Clinic, "Coronary artery bypass surgery creates a new path for blood to go around a blocked or partially blocked artery in the heart." "The surgery [often] involves taking a healthy blood vessel from the chest or leg area. The vessel is connected below the blocked heart artery. The new path improves blood flow to the heart muscle," the site adds. A representative for Swift did not immediately respond to PEOPLE's request for comment. In a 2019 essay for Elle titled '30 Things I Learned Before I Turned 30,' Taylor opened up about her parents' health and shared that "both of my parents have had cancer." "I've had to learn how to handle serious illness in my family ... It's taught me that there are real problems and then there's everything else," she wrote. The personal essay also saw Taylor share that her mom's cancer had returned, though she did not share any further details on her dad's health. Scott and Andrea Swift, who have been married for 37 years, have always been their daughter's biggest cheerleaders, nurturing her talent and passion from a young age. Long before she was a Grammy-winning singer, the "Fortnight" musician's parents were listening to her sing karaoke and driving her to local gigs close to where she was raised near Wyomissing, Penn. "She was always singing music when she was 3, 5, 6, 7, years old," Scott, told UDaily, the newspaper of his alma mater, the University of Delaware, back in 2009. "It's Taylor doing what she likes to do." Taylor's parents were seen at multiple Eras Tour shows before the record-shattering run of gigs came to a close in Vancouver, Canada, on Dec. 8, 2024. Scott made several headlines during his appearances, including when a clip of him handing out chicken tenders to fans at London's Wembley Stadium went viral in August 2024. "Scott handing out chicken during ['Style'] somehow makes sense," TikTok user Stephanie Niemiec of New York City wrote over the video at the time, referring to Taylor's hit single from 1989 and 1989 (Taylor's Version). "Thank you for the chicken," she said to Scott in the clip before turning her phone around and adding, "The chicken is fresh." Niemiec, 22, tagged Taylor in her caption and wrote, 'Tell your dad I said thank you, it was just what I needed.' Read the original article on People
