Euphoria star Barbie Ferreira wows in nude dress after 50lb weight loss
The 28-year-old starred on the first two seasons of the hit HBO show before she left in 2022, explaining later that she 'wanted to be able to not be the fat best friend.'
She debuted her stunningly reduced frame last year after losing about 50lbs, and has neither confirmed nor denied the Ozempic rumors that have swirled around her since.
This Wednesday, she made her presence felt at a star-studded Netflix party in Los Angeles promoting the streaming service's new Lena Dunham sitcom Too Much.
Although Barbie herself is not on the show, she was a showstopping figure at the knees-up in its honor, modeling a dress that stressed her impressively flat midriff.
With a neckline that dipped to offer up a generous helping of cleavage, the sleeveless dress fell flatteringly around her hourglass physique.
She could be seen mingling with some of the other guests at the fete, including Lukas Gage, who is best known for season one of The White Lotus.
Barbie also posed for a group shot at the event with Too Much's leading lady Megan Stalter and Brooklyn Nine-Nine star Chelsea Peretti.
After shooting to fame as Kat on the first two seasons of Euphoria, Barbie left the show because she felt her character had reached a dead end.
'I don't think there was a place for her to go,' she said on Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard in 2023, the year after her departure from the series.
'I think there were places she could have gone. I just don't think it would have fit into the show,' the New York City native explained.
'I don't know if it was going to do her justice, and I think both parties knew that I really wanted to be able to not be the fat best friend. I don't want to play that, and I think they didn't want that either,' Barbie added.
After she went public with her astonishing weight loss late last year, a source exclusively told DailyMail.com that she had shed the pounds for her career.
'Since she quit Euphoria, the opportunities have been drying up for Barbie and she knew that a reinvention was necessary to maintain longevity,' said the insider.
'In order to get roles in Hollywood, you've got to look the part and as shallow as that sounds, it is, unfortunately, true,' the source observed.
'She lost the weight to revitalize her career and better highlight her talents. She has such a strong drive to succeed in the industry and is incredibly talented.'
Her decision to flaunt her new figure on Instagram 'was a way of saying, "Hey this is me now and I am ready to work,"' the insider added.
'She wants to be able to play sexy parts too and will do what it takes to succeed. Ozempic can offer a really easy way to achieve this.'

Hollyoaks actor urges 'murdered' mum's friends not to go to stepdad's funeral
An actor whose mother was victim of a murder-suicide has urged her friends not to attend the suspected killer's funeral. Dawn Kerr was found dead alongside her husband Andrew Searle's body in the Aveyron region of France on February 6. The prosecutor in charge of the case previously described the case as a murder-suicide, in which Searle is alleged to have killed his wife before taking his own life. There was no evidence that anyone else was involved in the deaths. Prosecutor Fabrice Belargent previously said that 'the analysis carried out does not so far show any evidence that a third party was involved'. More than six months later Searle's body has been released by the French authorities and his funeral has been planned. But Dawn's two children, Hollyoaks actor Callum Kerr along with his sister Amanda, have issued a statement asking friends of their mum not to attend his funeral. They said that while the investigation into the deaths was ongoing, they 'cannot ignore the circumstances as they stand'. In the statement shared on social media, the siblings said: 'In the absence of any evidence suggesting third-party involvement in the tragic death of our mother, Dawn Kerr, the prevailing hypothesis remains that of a murder-suicide. 'Our mother was killed by multiple blows to the head, and Andrew was found deceased by hanging. 'His injuries are consistent with self-hanging, and no defensive wounds were found on his body. 'While the official investigation is ongoing, we cannot ignore the circumstances as they stand. 'For this reason, we must respectfully but firmly request that our mother not be included in any way in the funeral arrangements being made for Andrew. 'Please do not share photographs of them together. Please do not attend Andrew's service if you were a friend of our mother. 'It would be inappropriate for her memory to be associated with a service honouring the man who, based on all available evidence, may have been responsible for her death. 'We ask for understanding, privacy and respect as we continue to grieve and seek justice for our mum.' More Trending Dawn's body was found in the garden of the couple's home in Les Pesquiès, about an hour north of Toulouse, with severe wounds to her head. Searle's body was found inside the house. Police were called after a neighbour went to check on the couple when they didn't turn up to a planned dog walk. The couple, who were both aged in their 60s, previously lived in Musselburgh, near Edinburgh, and married in France in 2023 with son Callum walking Dawn down the aisle. They had lived in the Aveyron region for five years. Callum played PC George Kiss in Hollyoaks, and has also appeared in Netflix's Virgin River. He lives in the US where he also has a country music career. Get in touch with our news team by emailing us at webnews@ For more stories like this, check our news page. Thursday Murder Club's Helen Mirren 'offended' crew by going off script with one word
The Thursday Murder Club stars a whole host of unforgettable actors from this side of the world, including the likes of Helen Mirren and Pierce Brosnan. The Thursday Murder Club director shared how Hollywood icon Helen Mirren was able to offend its filming crew with just one word. Richard Osman 's The Thursday Murder Club has made its cinematic debut on Friday, August 22, bringing to life his eagerly anticipated best-selling 2020 novel. A plethora of stars quickly signed up for the film with Helen Mirren, Pierce Brosnan, Ben Kingsley and Celia Imrie leading its impressive cast. But during The Thursday Murder Club: An Evening with Richard Osman at The British Library, American director Chris Columbus shared an issue that was experienced on set. He elaborated: "There were a few Netflix executives who said, 'This is too British, we don't know what they are talking about'.' 'One of the things we got by the sensors was Pierce one day ad-libbed a word. 'He called someone a 'Plonker'. I yelled 'cut' and I said 'what is a plonker?' and he explained it to me and I thought 'That is fantastic, that has to stay in the film'. 'I'd heard the phrase 'w*****' before but there were a couple of people on the crew when Helen said it. It was not scripted. 'She said 'most of the police are w******' and people were offended on set. "How could Elizabeth say that word? And I thought, that means it's staying in the film. I embraced that, I really did." Osman's The Thursday Murder Club is the first in a series of books, followed by The Man Who Died Twice, The Bullet That Missed and The Last Devil To Die. His fifth book, The Impossible Fortune, is also on the way, with its publishing date set for Monday, September 22. As of yet, there has been no official confirmation that the franchise will return for a sequel film based on Osman's work. However, Columbus has previously teased that there are already plans in the works for its return, telling Film Stories: 'If we're lucky enough, and all signs seem to point in that direction that we will be shooting a sequel or the next chapter – in the second movie.' The Thursday Murder Club premieres on Friday, August 22, in cinemas and on Thursday, August 28, on Netflix.

NYX's new Wednesday range features a 'mysterious' £9 colour changing lip oil
NYX has just dropped its new Wednesday collection to mark the brand new season of the hit Netflix show, and it includes a 'mysterious' £9 colour-changing lip oil The new season of the hit show Wednesday landed on our Netflix accounts on August 6, but fans will have to wait until September 3 to see how the final four episodes will play out. To tide you over until you can resume binge watching, NYX has launched its exclusive makeup collection with Wednesday, which features eight affordable beauty buys. Priced between £8.99 and £16.99, there's everything from eyeshadow, blusher and contour palettes to cello-shaped liquid eyeliner to shop, but one of the standout pieces is the Nyx Professional Makeup X Wednesday Mystery Lip Oil. One of the most affordable items in the collaboration, the lip oil is priced at £8.99 and is perfect for everyday wear. Aside from its suitably spooky bottle design, which features a miniature Thing on the top, the lip oil brings both the drama and the mystery of the show to life with its colour-changing formula. You can pick up the Wednesday Mystery Lip Oil in three shades; Nightshade, Moon Shifted and Thorn Pricked, and whilst you might think you know the colour by the outside of the packaging, its colour-shifting formula means it'll adapt to your personal skin tone for a unique flush of colour. Nightshade is a deep berry shade despite its black-looking formula, whilst Thorn Pricked looks dark burgundy but applies with more of a rosy red hue. Moon Shifted may appear neutral or beige but leaves a soft pink shade on your lips instead. You can also try out all three shades of the Mystery Lip Oil for less, as Superdrug is currently running an exclusive three for two offer on selected NYX products. The deal, which includes the new Wednesday range, automatically applies at checkout and runs until September 9. The Wednesday Mystery Lip Oil is formulated with squalene to give your lips extra hydration and nourishment, and gives your lips plenty of shine without the stickiness of a gloss. It also comes with NYX's signature FAT applicator, with the oversized wand hugging your lips to make sure you get an even application. Colour-changing makeup is a great way to make sure you get a complexion-complementing colour, and Wonderskin's Phlush Stick (£20) is a great way to do it. The multi-purpose stick adapts to your skin's pH levels and can be used on your cheeks, lips and even eyes. You could also try out the Kiko Milano pH Glow Lipstick (£11.99) which has a sheer formula designed to enhance your natural lip colour. The natural lipstick tailors its shade to match your individual skin tone for the perfect pink hue, with ultra hydrating and nourishing ingredients. However, Wednesday fans are going to want to get their hands on the entire NYX X Wednesday collection, which is only available for a limited time exclusively online and in-store at Superdrug.
