Travis Kelce's Teammates Reveal Their Reaction To Taylor Swift Attending NFL Game
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are one of the most lovable couples not only in the entertainment industry but also among football fans too. Fans of ends as well as Travis Kelce's Kansas City Chiefs teammates were starstruck when the Karma crooner made her first appearance during Kelce's NFL game in September 2023.
When Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce hard-launched their relationship during the NFL game, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and defensive tackle Chris Jones seemed to be swooning over the pop icon's appearance.
Travis Kelce's Teammates' Reaction to Taylor Swift's NFL Appearance
Patrick Mahomes and Chris Jones' reaction was captured in ESPN's The Kingdom documentary series, which premiered on August 14 on ESPN, ESPN+, and Disney+. Remembering the time when they first heard about Travis' relationship with Taylor Jones, they recalled, 'We were in the locker room like, 'Taylor Swift's here.' 'Taylor Swift? For real? With Travis? 'Oh my God!' We were like, 'Oh my God, Travis pulled Taylor Swift.'"
Patrick Mahomes shared that Travis had told him earlier that week that Taylor was coming to the game; however, Mahomes admitted that he was not convinced it would actually happen. 'I was like, 'I have to see it before I believe it,'" Mahomes shared. One of the clips featured Travis and Mahomes on the field, where Mahomes was heard saying of Swift, 'That's the first person I noticed; I didn't see anybody else." Later, remembering the buzz at the stadium, Mahomes shared, 'You definitely felt the buzz. You could see people in the stadium gravitating to where she was at. At the same time, we had business to handle."
Taylor Swift's NFL Appearances
Taylor Swift's NFL appearances mark some of the significant moments of this year. The Lover singer famously attended Week 3 of the Kansas City Chiefs' 2023-2024 season as they took on the Chicago Bears at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium. While reports of dating speculation between Travis and Taylor were rife, the couple hadn't confirmed anything at that time. Taylor's repeated appearance at the game solidified her romance with Travis, as she was even spotted enjoying the match from a suite with Travis' mom, Donna Kelce, and was seen leaving the game with Travis after the Chiefs beat the Bears 41-10.
Taylor continued to attend several more games to support her beau and his team. In February 2024, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell embraced the couple's relationship. During an interview on CBS Mornings, he stated, 'They seem to be enjoying their relationship. That's great, in and of itself. But it has connected more fans of Taylor's and more fans of the NFL in some ways. Sort of, to see that they have a connection; now (fans) have a connection to our game and to Taylor."

Inside the Dillon Gabriel–Shedeur Sanders drama: how one rookie quote sparked a feud, a Shannon Sharpe callout, and a viral mess
Credit: Ken Blaze-Imagn Images When you're a rookie QB trying to make a name in the NFL, the last thing you want is a headline war with Shedeur Sanders. But that's exactly what happened to Cleveland Browns quarterback Dillon Gabriel, whose sideline interview went viral for a single line: 'There are entertainers, and there are competitors.' Suddenly, fans and even Shannon Sharpe were convinced he was throwing shade at Sanders. The only problem? Gabriel says the whole thing was a misunderstanding. Dillon Gabriel's comment instantly sparked a storm of Shedeur speculation During the Browns' preseason game against the Eagles, Gabriel was asked about how he handles distractions. His answer seemed simple enough: 'There are entertainers, and there are competitors. My job is to compete.' But NFL fans are quick to connect dots, and with Sanders being the biggest rookie 'entertainer' personality in football, social media decided Gabriel had just taken a swipe at his teammate. One clip later, and the internet was buzzing with talk of a rookie feud. To be fair, it's not wild that people assumed Gabriel was aiming at Sanders. Shedeur isn't just another rookie, he's Deion Sanders' son, a brand by himself, and one of the most hyped players in the league before taking a single NFL snap. Gabriel quickly clarified that his line was about the media, not his teammate After the game, Gabriel wasted no time shutting down the rumor mill. He explained that he wasn't talking about Sanders at all, but rather the difference between players and the media covering them: 'All of you in this room are entertainers… I'm a competitor. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like 15 Most Beautiful Female Athletes in the World Click Here Undo That's what I'm doing.' He doubled down that he would never take a shot at his teammate. But as Shannon Sharpe pointed out later, 'the damage was already done' because once fans smell drama, they don't really care about clarifications. Reactions showed how quickly NFL narratives can spiral Sharpe called it a dig regardless of Gabriel's explanation, while others in the media chalked it up to a rookie soundbite gone sideways. Either way, it put Gabriel in the awkward position of being painted as a rival to Sanders before the two even shared a regular-season huddle. He went 13-for-18 with 143 yards, but also threw a pick-six, fumbled, and got sacked twice. The contrast between him and the injured Sanders only fueled more chatter about who really owns the Browns' QB future. Taylor Swift's new album has ‘Portofino Orange Glitter' theme: What is this colour, linked to an Italian village
Taylor Swift's new album, The Life of a Showgirl, will be out on October 3, the singer announced earlier this week. The album's vinyl records are available for pre-order on her website, in the colour 'Portofino Orange Glitter'. As with anything related to Swift, brands swiftly jumped on to the colour, with Netflix, FedEx, Walmart, M&Ms, Playdoh, Sesame Street, United Airlines, Cinnabon, and others featuring orange in their posts and campaigns. On Google, searches for 'Taylor Swift' returned orange digital confetti and an orange heart. Time magazine reported that The Empire State Building, New York Times Square, and the Kansas City Union Station sported orange lights on August 12 evening. new profile pic 🧡 — X (@X) August 12, 2025 But what exactly is Portofino Orange, and what does it denote? We explain Swift has been wearing orange outfits in the last leg of her record-breaking two-year-long Eras Tour. On August 13, when she appeared on the podcast New Heights, hosted by her boyfriend Travis Kelce and his brother Jason Kelce, she spoke about the colour. 'I've just always liked it, Jason,' she said, as quoted by AP. 'It feels like kind of energetically how my life has felt. And this album is about what was going on behind the scenes in my inner life during this tour.' Orange is indeed bright and vibrant, although that has meant the colour being associated with danger and alarm. Think traffic cones, the India Meteorological Association's orange alerts, and the orange uniform of American prisoners, familiar to most of us thanks to TV shows. After the Air India flight crash in June, many of us learnt that aeroplanes' black boxes are actually orange so they can easily be spotted among the wreckage or in water after a crash. Portofino is a fishing village in Italy, known for its charming coastline and a preferred vacation destination for the rich and famous. Portofino is known for its pastel-coloured houses, which often have architectural details like colonnades, ornamental windows, etc. painted on the facade, rather than actually constructed. This makes the houses stand out against the blue of the water, and look specially ethereal in the orange rays of the setting or rising sun. Traditionally, there were practical reasons behind the aesthetic beauty. Fishermen needed their houses to stand out against the sea so they could make out which village they should head to when returning from the ocean. According to the publication Italian Segreta, natural, locally available pigments used in the area gave ochre and terracotta colours, which are shades of orange. Also, in the narrow lanes of these coastal villages, painting on architectural details was easier than moving in heavy machinery to actually build those features. A very brief history of orange While the colour orange has probably been known to humans since the first sunrise, the English word for it is much more recent — as late as the 16th century, according to British historian Kassia St Clair in her book 'The Secret Lives of Colours'. '…before that English speakers had used the cumbersome portmanteau giolureade or yellow-red,' St Clair writes. The colour orange was brought into prominence in art by the Impressionist movement, which originated in France in the 1860s. 'The painting that gave the movement its name, Claude Monet's Impression, Sunrise, has, at its centre, a bright orange sun. This new school of artists, fired up on new optical theories of colour contrasts, made extensive use of orange. Paired with blues (its opposite on the colour wheel) the super-bright chrome and cadmium pigments produced zinging contrasts that were deployed again and again by artists including Toulouse-Lautrec, Munch, Gauguin and Van Gogh,' St Clair writes.
