Jinger Duggar's Husband Jeremy Reveals 'Close Call' With the Law originally appeared on Parade. Jinger Duggar's husband, Jeremy Vuolo, opened up about his recent "close call" with the law. During the Wednesday, August 20, episode of their "Jinger & Jeremy" podcast, Duggar, 31, told Vuolo, 37, that she was "glad you're sitting here with us" and she was "thankful" that he was "not in jail right now." "Yeah, had a close call," Vuolo said before he shared that he had a "crazy" story that has "never happened" to him. After Duggar cut him off to point out that he has "been in jail before" for "one night," the couple laughed before he got into the story. "So I go to the bank. We had a friend from out of state. They had a car on our property that they were selling and a guy shows up at the house was, like, wild," Vuolo explained. "They make the exchange. The guy gives him $6,000 in cash. Not a very expensive car. It was a used, old car." Vuolo then said that he "needed to get that money" to their friend out of state. "I take $6,000 cash to the bank and as I'm depositing the money, the machine would stop halfway through as, you know, the money's going through," he said. "It stops." The father of three then looked at a bank teller for help and she took money out of the machine. "I'm going, 'What is going on?'" he continued. "She looks at the other teller. There's people around. She goes, 'We've got counterfeit money here.' I'm like, 'What?'" The bank teller eventually learned that $500 of the money was counterfeit, which left Vuolo in shock. Vuolo assumed the bank tellers thought he was trying to deposit the counterfeit money, so he explained where they cash came from. "It ended up not being that bad because the money was so obviously fake, the teller let me feel it. It was, like, just regular paper. And so she goes, 'Yeah, sir. Sorry. I'm gonna have to write a report on all of these bills. You're gonna be here a little while,"' he said. The teller added that she had never seen counterfeit money like the kind Vuolo brought in, which left everyone at the bank "fascinated." "So I'm sitting there, just like the spectacle at the bank," Vuolo said before Duggar revealed that people can face federal charges for knowingly trying to deposit counterfeit money. Luckily for Vuolo, the bank employees were familiar with him and he wasn't found guilty for trying to deposit the money. In fact, he even got to keep the counterfeit dollars. Jacksonville mother of 5 missing for 2 days found alive in woods
A Jacksonville woman who disappeared Monday was found alive in the woods Wednesday after a massive rescue effort by police and firefighters. Kayla Bailey was last seen early Monday morning by one of her daughters as she left her home on Maxville Boulevard, her family told Action News Jax. Authorities said she could be in danger, sparking a search that covered the community and nearby wooded areas. >>> STREAM ACTION NEWS JAX LIVE <<< The Sky Action News Jax drone took video of the dense forest where Bailey was found. First responders described the discovery as a relief after she had gone two days without food, water, or shelter. 'She was found in a wooded area just off a trail,' Jacksonville Sheriff's Office Sgt. Michael Monts said. 'She was laying on the ground. She was alive and well when rescuers walked up on her.' RELATED: Missing mom of 5 found alive, Jacksonville police say Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department search teams spotted Bailey's feet from UTVs before reaching her. 'Search teams went out on UTVs … They were able to see her feet in the woods … and went and found her,' JFRD Chief Gary Kuehner said. Authorities mapped out the extensive search, which included officers on horseback, on foot, and by boat. Hours after Action News Jax interviewed him, Bailey's husband, Joshua Bailey, was booked into jail on charges of violating probation and a domestic violence-related restraining order. 'The charges that he was arrested for are totally unrelated to the missing person's investigation,' Monts said. Sweet-toothed bear breaks into California ice cream shop
Aug. 20 (UPI) -- A California sheriff's office shared photos of a bear that broke into an ice cream parlor and helped itself to some strawberry ice cream behind the counter. The El Dorado County Sheriff's Office said on social media that deputies were summoned early Sunday morning to the Ice Cream Shop at Camp Richardson in South Lake Tahoe. "The deputies could barely believe their eyes as they saw a large bear behind the counter of the shop," the post said. The sheriff's office said the bear, which only showed interest in the strawberry ice cream, left the shop "with some encouragement" from deputies.
