How many games are Sixers projected to win in the 2025-26 season?

The Philadelphia 76ers will enter the 2025-26 season looking to get back on the path toward contention following a miserable 24-58 season in which injuries decimated the roster. When Joel Embiid, Paul George, and Tyrese Maxey are healthy, there is no telling what that roster can really do on the floor. The front office focused on getting younger and adding more versatile pieces to the roster in the offseason and that's what they did. The Sixers selected VJ Edgecombe with the No. 3 overall pick and then brought in Trendon Watford, Jabari Walker, and Dominick Barlow in free agency as the Sixers wanted to get with the trend of where the league is going in terms of youth and depth. Bleacher Report predicted how many games each team will win in the 2025-26 season and they believe the Sixers will finish 38-44: When healthy, they should be considered a title contender (especially in the weakened East). Joel Embiid isn't long removed from an MVP nod. Paul George averaged 22.6 points and 3.3 threes, while shooting 41.3 percent from three, in his last season with the Clippers. And Tyrese Maxey was, at least statistically, a top 25-30 player in 2023-24 and a top 45-50 player during Philadelphia's injury-plagued 2024-25. But given the age of George (35) and the injury history of Embiid, it's getting increasingly difficult to imagine anything but injury-plagued seasons for this core. Sixty-plus appearances for either of those stars is unlikely. And ultimately, this campaign could turn into a developmental stage for Maxey, Jared McCain and incoming rookie VJ Edgecombe. Everything will come down to health. No matter the additions the Sixers made, this comes down to whether Embiid and George will be out there on the floor because without them, this team is not a contender. If their injuries still limit those two, then the Sixers will have little chance, and the focus should be on developing their young guards in an effort to move forward into a new era.

Betting odds for Sixers' VJ Edgecombe to win 2026 Rookie of the Year

The 2025-26 NBA season continues to inch closer as the schedule has been released and everybody's attention turns to opening night in October. With that being said, now is the time to look at some odds for certain awards concerning the Philadelphia 76ers. While MVP is normally the one to watch for the Sixers due to the presence of Joel Embiid, there is some injury concern there, so this one is focused on Rookie of the Year due to the presence of VJ Edgecombe. FanDuel released their Rookie of the Year odds with Edgecombe ranking fourth in those odds with +1300. He is behind only San Antonio Spurs guard Dylan Harper, Washington Wizards guard Tre Johnson, and Dallas Mavericks forward Cooper Flagg. Edgecombe's chances to win Rookie of the Year will depend on how much the ball will be in his hands. The Sixers have a lot of guards they will rely on more than him--notably Tyrese Maxey and Jared McCain--and numbers are a big part of the ROY voting. Edgecombe might not have the best chance to take home the award, but that will depend on what role he will have in the 2025-26 season.

NBA 2K reveals post work rating for Sixers' Joel Embiid, other stars

The popular video game, NBA2K26, will be released very soon as everybody prepares for the 2025-26 NBA season. The game promises to add new features and continue to upgrade graphics and things of the like as the game's production team looks for improvements. A big topic everybody looks for is ratings. The masses want to know what their favorite player's 2K rating is in the game and the official Twitter account released the top 10 rated players with the best post-work in the game. Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid received love in this area of the game. Embiid, who is one of the best players in this league when he is healthy and right, received a post control rating of 96. That is only behind Denver Nuggets star Nikola Jokic who has a rating of 98. When Embiid is healthy and right, the Sixers are going to run everything through him. Coach Nick Nurse and his staff will put the ball in his hands and let everything run its course around him. As long as the big fella is upright, then he and the Sixers will be considered top contenders in the Eastern Conference.
