SCR to restore trains to original routes soon in Telangana
The Vijayawada-Kacheguda-Vijayawada Satavahana Express (Train No. 12713/12714), which was temporarily terminating at Kacheguda, will once again operate from Secunderabad. The change will take effect from September 7, for both directions.
Trains returning to their original route via Charlapalli-Moula Ali-Secunderabad include the Kazipet-Hadapsar-Kazipet Tri-Weekly Express (Train No. 17014/17013) from September 8, the Visakhapatnam-Lingampalli-Visakhapatnam Daily Express (Train No. 12805/12806) from September 7, the Vasco Da Gama-Jasidih-Vasco Da Gama Weekly Express (Train No. 17321/17322) from September 12, the Machilipatnam-Sainagar Shirdi-Machilipatnam Weekly Express (Train No. 17208/17207) from September 9, the Kakinada Port-Sainagar Shirdi-Kakinada Port Tri-Weekly Express (Train No. 17206/17205) from September 8, and the Visakhapatnam-LTT Mumbai-Visakhapatnam Daily Express (Train No. 18519/18520) from September 7.

IRTC announces Bharat Gaurav train covering five Jyotirlinga temples
Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation ( IRCTC ) has announced a Bharat Gaurav Train, covering five Jyotirlinga temples, including three such holy shrines from Maharashtra. Grishneshwar from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar district, Trimbakeshwar from Nashik district, and Bhimashankar from Pune district are the three Jyotirlinga temples from Maharashtra that will be covered by the special train. In addition, Omkareshwar and Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga sites from Madhya Pradesh will also be included in the train journey. "The boarding and de-boarding facility is provided at important en route stations like Secunderabad, Kamareddi, Nizamabad, Dharmabad, Mudkhed, Nanded, and Purna. The whole trip will be covered over a period of eight nights and nine days. It includes all travel facilities, including both rail and road transport, accommodation, and catering arrangements," said an official release by the South Central Railway (SCR). It added, "The security on the train involves CCTVs in all coaches. The public announcement facility is available in all coaches. Also, travel insurance will be provided to passengers, and there will be the presence of tour managers throughout the trip for assistance." The move aims to ease passenger travel and restore normal operations following the completion of key station works. The change will take effect from September 7, for both directions. SCR's ‘round trip package' at 20% discount
South Central Railway (SCR) has announced the launch of an experimental 'Round Trip Package' scheme by the Indian Railways to manage the festive season rush, offering discounted fares this year. This scheme is applicable to passengers who choose to book their return journey within a prescribed period. The discount will apply only when both onward and return journeys are booked together for the same set of passengers — with identical passenger details for both legs of the journey. Bookings under this scheme will open on August 14 for trains departing between October 13 and October 26. Return journey tickets can be booked using the connecting journey feature for travel dates between November 17 and December 1. Notably, the Advance Reservation Period (ARP) will not apply to return journey bookings under this scheme. This offer is valid only for confirmed tickets in both directions. A 20% rebate will be granted on the base fare of the return journey, provided the same class and the same originating and destination stations are maintained for both legs. There will be no refund for tickets purchased under this scheme. It is applicable to all classes and all trains, including special trains (trains on demand), but excludes trains with flexi fares. Additionally, no modifications will be allowed for either leg of the journey once booked. Concessional passes will not be admissible for return journey bookings under this scheme. Furthermore, both onward and return journey tickets must be booked using the same mode — either online or at reservation counters, according to a press release.
