11 Oscar contenders with the most to gain at this year's Cannes Film Festival
Director Jon M. Chu made the announcement Monday during NBCU's Upfront presentation at Radio City Music Hall.
"This fall, our stars, the wonderful Cynthia Erivo and incandescent Ariana Grande, will be joined by their castmates and some wonderful surprise guests in a one-time only event from the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. They will perform live many of the songs from the first movie and maybe, just maybe, a little bit from the second one as well," Chu said.

The special will air on NBC and stream on Peacock the next day. "We cannot wait to bring this event to our Wicked fans on broadcast and streaming this fall before the release of our movies, so get ready," Chu continued.
Erivo and Grande first performed Wicked tunes live at the Oscars earlier this year.
Just like last year's Upfront, when the trailer for Wicked played for advertisers, Chu also shared the trailer for Wicked: For Good for the lucky ones in the room. The Wicked: For Good trailer, which also played at CinemaCon, is not yet publicly released.
Wicked: For Good hits theaters Nov. 21.

How Sheinelle Jones Is Coping After Husband Uche Ojeh's Death: What ‘Today' Cohosts Have Said
The hosts of Today have offered some insight into how Sheinelle Jones has been coping with the death of her husband, Uche Ojeh. On May 23, Savannah Guthrie announced on the NBC morning show that Ojeh died at age 45 after a private battle with the brain cancer glioblastoma. 'There are no words for the pain that we feel for Sheinelle and their three young children,' she said. 'Uche was an incredible person. We all loved him.' Jones — who has been absent from Today since December 2024 to deal with her husband's health — met Ojeh in the '90s during their time at Northwestern University. They tied the knot in 2008 and went on to welcome three kids: son Kayin, 15, and twins Clara and Uche, 12. 'We just want to say Sheinelle, Kayin, little Uche and Clara, the Ojeh family, we are with you,' Guthrie added. 'We love you. You are our family, and we are just sending all of our love to you right now.' Celebs and Journalists Rally Around Today's Sheinelle Jones After Death of Husband Uche Ojeh Jones broke her silence on Ojeh's death via Instagram that same day, writing, 'Thank you, for all of your love and support.' A source later told Us Weekly that 'there is no timing on when she will be back' on Today, adding that Jones is 'focusing on her family' at this time. Several Today hosts supported Jones at Ojeh's funeral on May 30, including , Al Roker, Craig Melvin and Hoda Kotb. Scroll down to see what the Today hosts have said about how Jones is dealing with her husband's death: 'Sheinelle has been such a warrior, and she has stepped up and shown what love is and what love does for her husband,' Guthrie said while discussing Ojeh's death on the May 23 episode of Today With Jenna & Friends. 'And it has been a marvel to witness.' While chatting with Guthrie on Jenna & Friends, Bush Hager noted that Jones embodied her '[in] sickness and [in] health' wedding vows before and after Ojeh's health battle. 'And she's — as we've talked to her over the last couple months — been this pillar [not only] for her husband but for her family, for those kids,' she praised. 'And one of the things that I always was sort of amazed by was that she did it with such grace and with humor.' 'We tend to say, 'Oh, I know what you're going through. I know what you're feeling.' Nobody knows unless you've actually been in that,' Roker exclusively told Us at Kotb's Joy 101 launch event on May 28. 'So, we're there. We just want to be there and pay tribute to the wonderful person that Uche was and still will be because he's going to live on in those kids and live in all our memories.' As the Today hosts paid tribute to Ojeh on May 23, Dreyer noted that Sheinelle was 'always smiling' during her family's difficult time. 'She's just a bright light whenever she walks into a room, even through this. She relied on her faith, she relied on her friends,' the third hour of Today cohost added. While exclusively chatting with Us at Kotb's Joy 101 launch, Dreyer praised Jones for being a 'close friend.' She added, 'I've reached out. I don't want to push too hard. There's just a lot of things that she must be juggling right now. I mean, I don't know the right words besides, 'I'm here. Whenever you need a hug, let me know. I'll be there in a second.' And, I mean, I pray for her every night.' 'What has been remarkable, also, is watching the way with which she has dealt with this, dealing with a husband who's battling cancer and three young children that she's had [take care of] by herself for a while now,' Melvin said on the May 23 episode of Today. 'And every time you would talk to her, she would still find a way to laugh about something.'

'Ginny & Georgia' Season 4: Here's what we know so far
'Ginny & Georgia' Season 4: Here's what we know so far 'I want(ed) people to finish the season (3) and stand up as if they just got off a ride,' series creator Sarah Lampert said. Show Caption Hide Caption Need a show to binge? These are the must watch shows this summer USA TODAY's TV critic Kelly Lawler breaks down the best TV shows you don't to want to miss this summer Spoiler alert: This story includes details from episodes of Season 3 of "Ginny & Georgia." Peaches, you ok? Trust "Ginny & Georgia" to amp up the drama and leave viewers with shocking cliffhangers. Season 3 of "Ginny & Georgia" dropped on Netflix on June 5 and has already left us reeling with questions. Who is the father of Georgia's baby? What's going to happen to Ginny and Marcus? Will Georgia and Joe ever get together? Did Georgia really turn herself in for Tom's death? And most important of them all: Is Ginny turning in Georgia? 'I want(ed) people to finish the season and stand up as if they just got off a ride,' series creator and executive producer Sarah Lampert told NBC's Today. 'I want them to sound like lunatics trying to explain what just happened.' Lampert, in a separate interview, told Netflix's Tudum the show creators "blew up our world" this season. "Season 3 is our most ambitious and explosive season yet," Lampert said. "Going into it, we knew our core driving force isn't the plot twists and turns, but the emotional truth of these two women. We care about these characters, they are messy and complicated and real, and that's why we're invested in the wild season they're about to go through." Brianne Howey, who plays Georgia in the series, told Tudum her character is "definitely pushed to her limits this season, and she has to survive scenarios she's never had to survive before." Yes. Back in 2023, Netflix announced "Ginny & Georgia" had been renewed for both Season 3 and 4. The two-season renewal did not come as a surprise given the show's success. Series creator Sarah Lampert told Netflix's Tudum the creators had the whole story "planned out." 'When we had to develop the storyline for Season 2, we knew exactly what we wanted Season 3 to be," Lampert told Tudum. "Georgia needed to kill someone, and she needed to kill someone in Wellsbury, Massachusetts.' Lampert explained Season 3 was about breaking all the characters down and setting the stage for a possibility to rebuild. "We really worked in Season 3 on breaking Georgia's soul with the option of then trying to rebuild her in Season 4," the series creator said. Lampert and showrunner Sarah Glinski teased the official theme of Season 4 is 'Cycles and Origins.' When will Season 4 of 'Ginny & Georgia' come out? A release date for Season 4 of "Ginny & Georgia" has not yet been announced and no production information was available to share, Netflix said. However, Lampert, in a post on Instagram, revealed that work on Season 4 has already begun with a writer's room underway. "Based on today alone Season 4 is going to be a RIDE," Lampert teased. The series, meanwhile, has followed a biennial schedule, with previous seasons releasing in February 2021, January 2023 and June 2025. If the show were to stick to the same timeline, Season 4 could be expected in the first half of 2027. Need a break? "We know what we want the last episode to be." Fisher helmed Seasons 1 and 2 of "Ginny & Georgia" with Glinski taking over as showrunner for Seasons 3 and 4.
