And the result capped another memorable campaign for the junior outfit, co-managed by Dundee-born former Scotland international Kevin McNaughton and ex-Dee and United defender Lewis Toshney.
The Courier's Kim Cessford was there to capture the joyous scenes.

Kilmarnock's Skye Stout sent message by Ally McCoist after vile abuse
The teenager was announced by Kilmarnock as a new signing for their SWPL2 side earlier this week but the club later deleted their posts after vile abuse was aimed at her. Trolls targeted Stout due to a skin condition but she has since received widespread support including from people such as former First Minister Humza Yousaf. There has also been tweets from former Celtic striker John Hartson, ex-Glasgow City midfielder Denise O'Sullivan and many others and now former Kilmarnock striker McCoist has also sent her a video message. It was shared online by BBC Scotland's Tam Cowan, who is a friend of McCoist's. Better known for his time at Rangers, McCoist recorded the video while travelling to work for TNT Sport in the Premier League. And he used that as an opportunity to tell Stout that things are not always glamourous with his flight to Birmingham cancelled. READ NEXT: Major fashion retailer set to close Glasgow store this month He enjoyed a laugh about that before telling Stout he was delighted to hear she had signed for Kilmarnock and says he hopes to get the chance to go and see her play for the Rugby Park club. In his video, he said: 'It's strange surroundings, so let me explain myself, my flight got cancelled and I'm now on a train to Birmingham to watch Aston Villa. 'This is the trials and tribulations of professional football for you, Skye. It's just a wee warning for you because I've just heard you've just signed for Kilmarnock, which is absolutely fantastic news. 'I played down there for three years, and it was three of the best years of my footballing life, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. It's a fantastic club with great people. 'You do well, Skye, enjoy your football and hopefully one of these days I'll get a chance to come and see you play. "Good luck.'

Liverpool braced for £25m exit to boost funds for second Alexander Isak transfer bid
Liverpool are set to complete yet another transfer to continue their summer of work and to boost their funds amid the chance they return for another Alexander Isak bid before the window shuts Ben Doak is set to complete a £25million transfer from Liverpool to Bournemouth - with only the formalities remaining after the clubs came to an agreement this weekend. The Scotland international did not feature in the teams' Premier League season opener after a breakthrough in discussions and now a deal is all but done. Doak, 19, spent last season on loan at Middlesbrough, where he recorded three goals and seven assists in an impressive stint before injury curtailed his 2024/25 campaign. Liverpool paid £600,000 to sign the talented prospect from Celtic in 2022 and January saw Crystal Palace and Ipswich Town interested in his signature. Liverpool valued him near the £30m mark at that time with prospective bids expected to be closer £15m. Now, Reds bosses have agreed a deal worth £25m with the Cherries after they identified Doak as the ideal candidate to replace new Brentford star Dango Ouattara Andoni Iraola, per Liverpool Echo. Bournemouth fended off competition from Porto and Stuttgart to advance their deal. The south coast side were previously reported to be keen to reduce the fee required to land the young star. Liverpool appear to have achieved the fee they wanted to part ways however, to continue a significant summer of business. While the Anfield side have spent hefty fees on the likes of Florian Wirtz, the club will have raised £215m following Doak's exit. The ex-Celtic youngster follows the likes of Jarell Quansah, Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez out of the door. And such business leaves Liverpool primed to return for Alexander Isak if encouraged by the Magpies to do so. Isak was absent for Newcastle's opening match of the season against Aston Villa having not trained with the first team amid his stand off with the club over an exit. Eddie Howe's side missed the Swede's cutting edge as they failed to capitalise as their hosts went down to 10 men in the second half. Liverpool saw a £110m offer turned down for Isak earlier this month, with the forward said to have suggested he would not play for Newcastle again. Howe has indicated that he remains open to the striker's return despite the dispute. Fans vented their feelings on Isak following the draw at Villa Park and criticised his stance. "Nothing has changed - but the door is well and truly open (for Isak)," said Howe. "But he has to decide what he wants to do. We would like a resolution, when I say we I am talking about myself and the ownership, the players we have, we need that clarity. "This season, any Premier League season is hard enough, you don't need any type of distraction to swerve your thoughts and unbalance what we are doing. Benjamin Sesko alarm bell raised as Gary Neville left speechless over Man Utd fear
Ian Wright called out Gary Neville for hypocrisy as they discussed realistic returns for new Premier League arrivals Benjamin Sesko and Viktor Gyokeres ahead of Manchester United vs Arsenal Gary Neville was left speechless after Ian Wright pointed out one potential negative scenario involving Manchester United summer signing Benjamin Sesko. The Slovenian arrived from RB Leipzig for £66.4million up front with add-ons of around £7.6m. For many years, Sesko, 22, has been considered one of the most exciting young strikers in Europe. However, considering he is still learning his trade and joining a United team that only scored 44 Premier League goals last year, there are still question marks as to how he will fare. Instead of solely focusing on Sesko, Neville also addressed fellow summer signings Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo, giving the trio a target of 35 goals between them. Wright took issue with this comment, as earlier in their podcast, Neville said Viktor Gyokeres' debut campaign with Arsenal would be a disappointment if he only scored 10 Premier League goals. On the Stick to Football podcast, Neville opened up the conversation by asking: "Sesko, we know less about him. Obviously, we've seen bits about him. We've seen centre-forwards come to United over the last six, seven or eight seasons and it's not been easy. There is going to be pressure on him, obviously [Rasmus] Hojlund is still there." Wright then replied: "The thing as well with him is that he scored 13 goals in 33 Bundesliga appearances last season. [Omar] Marmoush left in December and had 15. "That says to me as a striker he should be scoring more at that level. I think like Gyokeres, he has got such great ability and physicality, I think he will get 15 goals.' Neville then went on to say a tally of between "10 or 13" goals would be a success for Sesko, providing Mbeumo and Cunha make up the other 25 goals between them. However, Wright again called out the ex-United captain's verdict, comparing it with the much higher bar he set for Gyokeres. He said: "What if Sesko only scored 10? Seriously, what if he only got 10. You just turned your nose up when I mentioned Gyokeres potentially only getting 10 and now you're thinking about Sesko only getting 10.' As Neville pointed out Gyokeres is older than Sesko, Wright refused to let him off the hook. The ex-England defender then tried to form a point by saying: "I think 10…' and then found himself silenced by his own internal thoughts. As Wright turned around to Jamie Carragher, Jill Scott and Roy Keane, Neville said: "The reason I am stuttering is because I'm wondering how Cunha and Mbeumo are going to do. If he scores 10 and the others can chip in with 12 a piece, I would still say 35 from the three of them is massive.' When Wright further interrogated him about suggesting 10 goals for Gyyokeres would be nowhere near enough, Neville replied: "The reason I said that is because I think Arsenal will create so many more chances. They will have so much more play. "They are a much better team. He (Gyokeres) is going to be in a better team. He's going to get more chances. Sesko is not going to get as many chances as Gyokeres. That is where I would be at with it."
