5 teens suspected in violent crime spree across Pittsburgh region arrested, police say
The five teenagers suspected of being behind a violent crime spree across Allegheny County over the last 48 hours have been arrested, police said.
Five teens ranging from 15 years old to 17 years old are allegedly involved in the crime spree.

According to the criminal complaint, the five boys led police on a chase that ended on the West End Bridge after their vehicle hit a jersey barrier on Friday morning.
Three of the boys are then accused of running, and guns were allegedly ditched. All five were later taken into custody, officials said.
Police, according to the criminal complaint, recovered multiple guns. Some were found near Rivers Casino after appearing to be thrown from the bridge, authorities said. One gun recovered was an "AR style pistol," according to court documents.
The chase started after police say a woman reported being robbed at gunpoint. They took her Honda on Faust Street in the city's Sheraden neighborhood. She told police the teens had a rifle with them, officials said.
They will be charged as adults in the alleged carjacking.
The five teens are also under investigation for numerous separate carjackings, armed robberies and violent weapons offenses across the Pittsburgh area over the past 48 hours.
One of the suspects, Aaron Reddix, was also arrested in connection with a triple shooting in Clairton last year. He was taken into custody in March, accused of shooting three teenage boys at a party in November 2024.
Court records show he was initially denied bail, but it was changed to non-monetary bail in April.

A woman believed to have abandoned her pets for almost a year was arrested June 27 on charges of aggravated animal cruelty after Edgewater Police found seven dead animals at her home. According to police, Danielle McGinnis, 57, vacated her property on Pine Tree Drive for nearly one year, during which time a "long-standing civil dispute" impeded access to the house. But stakeholders, including McGinnis and six others, were just allowed access back into the home when officers received a call about possible animal cruelty, according to a press release. Police sent an alert on social media later that night asking the public to help locate McGinnis. She was later found in Daytona Beach, where police interviewed her. "During the interview, (McGinnis) admitted to leaving the animals inside the home when she moved out a year ago," the press release said. "She claimed to have asked a 'friend' to look after the animals, but could not provide a name or contact information." McGinnis also admitted to not following up on the animals' well-being, police said. Edgewater Animal Control services removed the animals' remains from the house and handled the "appropriate final disposition," police said. McGinnis is charged with seven counts of aggravated animal cruelty resulting in death, a felony charge. She is being held at the Volusia County Branch Jail on $70,000 bond. Bizarre crash as SUV lands on bed
Police are on the hunt for the driver of a luxury SUV who crashed through the wall of a Sydney home, landing on a bed. The driver reportedly fled the scene of the crash in Macquarie Fields, with the search now on.
