Sitaare Zameen Par Box Office Collection Day 27: Bollywood actor Aamir Khan's film Sitaare Zameen Par might have slowed down, struggling to even mint ₹ 1 crore at the box office, all eyes are now on the weekend as the film enters its fifth week in theatres. The film is directed by RS Prasanna.
The film has failed to cross the ₹ 1 crore mark for the third consecutive day this week.
According to the early estimates of industry tracker Sacnilk, Sitaare Zameen Par earned ₹ 45 lakh on day 27.
The earnings of Aamir Khan's film dipped by approximately 49.44% from Tuesday to Wednesday. On Tuesday, it minted ₹ 89 lakh, the closest it reached to the ₹ 1 crore mark on the 4th weekday.
With this, the total earnings of Sitaare Zameen Par are ₹ 162.54 crore.
However, these are live data from the website and are subject to change. The final figures are yet to be out.
Sitaare Zameen Par had an overall occupancy of 9.47% on Wednesday, July 16, 2025. The occupancy was as follows:
The film's screenings have been reduced to fewer than 300 across all cities in India. The Delhi-NCR region recorded the highest number with 218 shows, followed by Mumbai with 171. Ahmedabad took the third spot with 141 shows.
All the above circuits, along with Pune and Bengaluru, had the highest footfall in theatres.
Sitaare Zameen Par also stars Genelia D'Souza. It also has 10 neurodivergent actors who marked their Bollywood debut with the film.
The sports drama film was released in theatres on June 20. It received positive reviews.
Previously, Aamir Khan clarified that his film would not be released on OTT.
According to the latest reports, the film might have rejected all OTT offers. Giving full control over the movie's release window and pricing, the makers are reportedly considering a pay-per-view model on YouTube. More details about the digital release of the film are awaited from the makers.

Superstar Aamir Khan on Tuesday announced that his latest release Sitaare Zameen Par will be available on YouTube Movies under the pay-per-view model, after its theatrical run. Starting August 1, the film will stream exclusively on YouTube in India at ₹100, and in 38 international markets, including US, Canada, UK, Australia, Germany, Indonesia, Philippines, Singapore, Spain, among others, with pricing localised for each market, according to a press release. Directed by R S Prasanna, Sitaare Zameen Par was released in theatres across the country in June, earning over ₹250 crores and receiving praise for its heartwarming story as well as performances. "For the past 15 years I have been struggling with the challenge of how to reach audiences who do not have geographical access to theatres, or those who are unable to make it to theatres for various reasons. "Finally the time for the perfect storm has come. With our government bringing in UPI and India becoming no 1 in the world in electronic payments, with internet penetration in India having grown dramatically and growing everyday, and with YouTube being on most devices, we can finally reach vast sections of people in India, and a significant part of the world," Aamir said. "I want people to have the ease of watching cinema when they want, where they want. If this idea works, creative voices can tell different stories breaking geographical and other barriers. "This will also be a great opportunity for younger creative people entering the field of cinema. If this idea works, then I see this as a win-win for all," he added. Billed as a spiritual sequel to the actor's critically acclaimed 2007 movie Taare Zameen Par, Sitaare Zameen Par follows the journey of a basketball coach (Aamir), who mentors ten differently-abled individuals. The movie is a remake of Spanish movie Champions. Besides Aamir, the film also stars Aroush Datta, Gopi Krishna Varma, Samvit Desai, Vedant Sharma, Ayush Bhansali, Ashish Pendse, Rishi Shahani, Rishabh Jain, Naman Mishra, and Simran Mangeshkar. Genelia D'Souza appears in a pivotal role as well. Gunjan Soni, Country Managing Director, YouTube India, said the digital launch of Sitaare Zameen Par exclusively on their platform is a significant step towards "democratising Indian film distribution at a global scale". Aamir is currently producing Lahore 1947, starring Sunny Deol and Preity Zinta, and Ek Din, featuring Junaid Khan and Sai Pallavi, both under his banner Aamir Khan Productions. He will next be seen in Coolie, starring Rajinikanth and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. The film is set to hit the screens on August 14, 2025.
