Hrithik Roshan And Jr NTR's War 2's Only Pre-Release Event To Happen In THIS City And It's Not Mumbai
War 2 skips multiple promos for one grand pre-release event in Hyderabad, capitalizing on Jr NTR's massive fan base.
YRF's War 2 is one of the most anticipated films of the year, boasting a stellar cast including Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR, and Kiara Advani. With the makers opening advance booking for the film today, a new update has come in: they have decided to skip multiple pre-release events for promotions. Instead, there will be only one grand event.
The sole pre-release promotional event will take place in Hyderabad, and the reason couldn't be more obvious: the city is home to an ocean of die-hard NTR fans. The heart of Telangana is already pulsing with anticipation as thousands of admirers from across states pour into the city, eager to catch a glimpse of the RRR superstar.
While War 2 boast a stellar cast, industry insiders admit that NTR's inclusion has redefined the film's positioning on multiple levels, creatively, by adding a distinctive southern flavour to the franchise, and commercially, by ensuring unprecedented pan-India appeal.
This isn't just another promotional pitstop, it's the only one. The decision sends a strong message: the makers recognise the unmatched draw of Jr NTR in the South and his ability to generate national-level buzz.
With War 2 slated for a 2025 release, it will be followed closely by NTR's highly anticipated mytho-sci-fi spectacle NTR x Neel.
War 2 Advance Booking
Just about a week before the film's grand release, the makers announced that advance booking for the action thriller is now open, and tickets are currently on sale. The news also came with a special pre-release gift, as the makers dropped a new action promo of the film.
The action promo features yet another deadly fight between Hrithik and Jr NTR. While sharing the promo and announcing the opening of advance booking, the makers wrote,
'Are you ready to witness the CARNAGE in cinemas from August 14th? BOOK TICKETS NOW for #War2 and let us give you an experience to cherish for the rest of your lives 🔥🔥 Releasing in Hindi, Telugu & Tamil in theatres worldwide!"

Kirron Kher says Anupam Kher feels bad when she doesn't appreciate his work, advises son Sikandar Kher to 'be more like Anupam': 'Sikandar is a laat saheb...'
Veteran actor Kirron Kher is known for her open and honest personality, both on and off screen. In a recent interview, she revealed that she never praises her family's work unless it truly impresses her, even if that means hurting feelings at home. 'I am not one of those people who appreciates family members just like that. My husband feels bad about it,' she told News18, admitting she can't pretend to like every film Anupam Kher has done. 'It shows on my face,' she laughed, recalling how she didn't enjoy Sikandar's performance in Tigmanshu Dhulia's Milan Talkies. Advice to Sikandar: 'Be more like Anupam' Kirron shared that she often urges her son to be less selective with projects. While Sikandar is 'very particular' about his work, she feels he needs to take on more roles, just as Anupam did during his career's peak. 'Anupam has done all the films because he had to earn money and take care of the house and the family. Sikandar is a laat saheb... but things don't work that way,' she pointed out. Kirron acknowledged she had the 'luxury of choice' because Anupam bore the financial responsibility, a privilege she believes Sikandar cannot afford if he wants to keep working consistently. Kirron Kher drops a picture from a lunch date with her husband Anupam Kher; fans say 'You both are looking cute' Anupam Kher on the 'void' of not having children Married since 1985, Kirron and Anupam Kher do not have children together. Sikandar is Kirron's son from her first marriage to Gautam Berry, and was four years old when Anupam entered his life. Speaking on Raj Shamani's podcast, Anupam admitted feeling a 'void' over not having biological children, revealing that Kirron 'could not conceive' and later faced complications when she did. 'I was too busy making it big,' he said, but added that Sikandar 'is still fine for me,' emphasising their strong bond despite the circumstances.

'War 2' advance box office report: The Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR film earns Rs 16 crore gross in advance ticket sales, momentum picks as Telugu markets opens
'War 2' is one of the most anticipated movies of the year. The Hrithik Roshan , Jr NTR , Kiara Advani film is also facing a tough competition from Rajikinanth's 'Coolie' which is already having a huge advance booking. While earlier, the advance sales for 'War 2' were not extra-ordinary, the film has picked momentum just as the openings in Telugu markets have opened. Ahead of the opening of bookings in the Telugu states, 'War 2' had already grossed around ₹10 crore (with block seats) for its Hindi version's first day. However, once sales began in the Telugu markets, momentum picked up sharply, with BookMyShow logging over 20,000 tickets sold per hour for the first time. This boost is expected to spill over into the Hindi belt as well just as the film releases. At present, Coolie is leading the advance booking race, having already hit an opening-day worldwide gross of ₹75 crore, of which ₹30 crore of which comes from India and this data was till Wednesday afternoon. According to Sacnilk, the film has made Rs 16 crore so far on Day 1 as the gross number and this is the figure from advance sales excluding the block bookings. However, with the block bookings, the advance day 1 number is Rs 28 crore as of now. However, according to Box Office India, Trade analysts caution, that these numbers don't yet point to an 'huge blockbuster type of weekend', the kind the industry hopes for with such big-budget spectacles. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like New Container Houses Serbia (Prices May Surprise You) Container House | Search Ads Search Now Undo 'War 2' may look underwhelming when compared to some past juggernauts, but the ratio of advance sales to first-day collections has changed in recent years, making direct parallels tricky. Some previous 'big ones,' as the trade hints, even had 'advances which were tampered putting it in a nice way.' By contrast, War 2's advance numbers are twice that of recent big titles like 'Raid 2' and 'Housefull 5'. Regional performance of the film will also be a mixed bag. 'War 2' is expected to underperform in Maharashtra, Gujarat, East Punjab, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh, just as Pathaan, Jawan, and Animal did, but it will need to make up for this shortfall in other territories, as those films managed to do. The Telugu-dubbed version could perform well thanks to JR NTR's presence, who is a massive star in the Nizam/Andhra belt. One already senses that as the fil has suddenly picked momentum, just as the Telugu markets have opened. Still, 'Coolie' will be a formidable rival, even outside its home Tamil market. Eventually, the content of both these movies and word of mouth will eventually decide the fate of both these movies while the weekend performance will be crucial for deciding among these.
