Weekend 2 begins now. The first Battlefield 6 Open Beta drew massive attention, surpassing all-time peak player counts and even overtaking Call of Duty. With over half a million players joining the free weekend, the event showcased maps, modes, and weapons inspired by the series' classic era. Now, the second and final Open Beta offers players another chance to jump in before the game's full release. Battlefield 6 Open Beta Weekend 2 will run from August 14 at 1 AM PST / 4 AM EST until August 17, 2025. It will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.To join, players must pre-load the game before or during the event. Once installed, they can adjust settings, view challenges, and explore the menu until matches go live.While all content from the first weekend will return, new features have been confirmed for this phase:These additions expand the beta's variety and reintroduce a fan-favorite mode for veteran players.According to DICE Game Designer Frederik Drabert, Open Beta 2 will run on the same build as the first. This means existing bugs, glitches, and balance issues will remain unchanged until after the beta. Dominant strategies such as tanks controlling large maps, Engineers being key for vehicle counterplay, and the powerful M87A1 shotgun will remain intact.Players can unlock limited-time rewards during the beta, which will carry over to the full release:Weekend 1 saw small-scale tournaments emerge alongside casual play. With similar expectations for Weekend 2, competitive players are likely to keep testing strategies under the unchanged meta.Once the beta ends on August 17, no further public tests are expected before the official launch on October 10, 2025.
