Channel 4 insist they are 'proud' to show Bonnie Blue documentary
Channel 4 has defended the decision to make a documentary about online porn star Bonnie Blue - insisting it is 'proud' of the film and that is wants to 'stimulate debate".
Viewers tuning in to watch 1000 Men and Me: The Bonnie Blue Story this week will receive an on air warning about the content before the documentary airs at 10pm. It features multiple scenes of graphic sex not normally seen on TV.
Tia Billinger uses the stage name Bonnie Blue and invites men to have sex with her which she films and makes money from online. She is also known for angering and abusing other women online, including by suggesting she likes to sleep with married men.
In January she caused social media outrage by announcing she'd slept with 1,057 men in 12 hours.

The Channel 4 documentary's crew and director rarely question her about the abuse she gives to other women and her financial claims of earning millions each month also go unquestioned or unproven on screen.
She also uses other younger girls to make one film and they say they are not being paid, despite the fact Tia would make thousands from the film. Aside from Tia expressing some fears about walking in public alone, the tone is largely celebratory.
Asked about their decision to broadcast the documentary, Channel 4 told the Mirror: 'Tia Billinger, via her stage name Bonnie Blue, has gained worldwide attention and millions of pounds in the last year. 1000 Men and Me: The Bonnie Blue Story is an observational documentary in which director Victoria Silver follows Tia over the course of six months. The film questions Tia's methods and the divisive style of her social media and hears from colleagues and collaborators in order to understand her polarising business model.
"Part of Channel 4's remit is to reflect modern Britain and stimulate debate amongst viewers, and a film such as this, exploring changing attitudes to sex, success, porn, and feminism in an ever-evolving online world is an important addition to those conversations.
'Channel 4 has a track record of programmes that examine the porn industry from a variety of perspectives. In the last two years we have broadcast programmes such as Sex Actually with Alice Levine that looked at a range of sexual experiences, while OnlyFans Got Me Fired: Untold and Confessions of a Cam Girl showed the personal cost of porn for content creators.'
They also insisted the sections of the documentary showing Bonnie having sex multiple times across the documentary was necessary.
They added: 'Careful consideration has been given to the content and the way in which it is included. The explicit content in the documentary is editorially justified and provides essential context; making pornographic content is Bonnie's job, and this film is about her work and the response to it. Crucially, the content is presented in a non-gratuitous manner and viewers will be alerted of the sexual content in a programme warning at the start to ensure they understand from the outset the nature of the programme.'
Journalists were shown the film at a screening at Channel 4 last week attended by Tia, where even she expressed surprise at how many sex scenes 'were in there'.
Introducing the film, Commissioning Editor Tim Hancock said before the screening: 'I believe it is Channel 4's job to tell stories like this, trying to get behind the truth of the headlines. We film real stories in real time. We are very proud to do films like this.'
Asked why there was so much porn in the documentary and if she was braced for complaints, director Victoria Silver said: 'I had to explain to her(Tia) if I was making a film about a musician or some kind of other performer their work would be in there. I think it is important to see what she does.'
* 1000 Men and Me: The Bonnie Blue Story is on Channel 4 on Tuesday night at 10pm.

Siblings begged for 'one last swim' before drowning in Spain holiday horror
The brother and sister drowned after getting into difficulty in the sea at during their 'first big holiday abroad.' Two young siblings who drowned during a family holiday in Spain had pleaded for "one last swim", a devastated family member has revealed. Ameiya and Ricardo Del Brocco - affectionately known as Maya and Jubs - died after getting into difficulty in the sea at Salou last week. It was their "first big holiday abroad" with their parents and four siblings, staying at the four-star Hotel Best Negresco near Llarga Beach, reports the Mirror. But the trip ended in heartbreak when the pair reportedly asked parents Shanice and Ricardo Snr, both 31, if they could go for one final dip in the ocean - but tragedy struck. Shanice had taken one of the other children to the toilet, while Ricardo Snr stayed on the beach watching the children. But moments later, disaster unfolded. The heartbroken dad dived into the water to try and save them. Emergency crews rushed to the scene but were tragically unable to save the siblings, aged just 11 and 13. Shanice's sister Macalia Del Brocco, 46, said: "She (Shanice) came back out (from the toilet), she couldn't see any of them. At that point, she panicked. And it was at that point the police arrived and things started happening. Then it hit what was happening. It was obviously the children that were in the water." Ricardo Snr also had to be pulled from the sea after swallowing "a lot of water" and was left exhausted. Medics managed to resuscitate him on the beach. Macalia described 11-year-old Ricardo as 'the softest, sweetest, gentlest boy you could wish to meet' who 'dreamed of being a YouTuber'. Big sister Ameiya, 13, was 'a unique character' who loved fashion and athletics, and acted like a 'second mum' to her younger brothers and sisters. She praised hotel staff for their kindness, saying they had been 'absolutely beautiful' in supporting the grief-stricken family from Birmingham. One sibling, six-year-old Casius, had an emotional conversation with Macalia, telling his aunt "Juby went to heaven in a helicopter". Talking to the Mail Online, Macalia continued: "He told me 'Did you know Maya and Jubs are in heaven now? Juby went to heaven in a helicopter'. "So that's his understanding of it, which is bittersweet, because that was what he saw. And it's beautiful that he thinks that's what happened, but very sadly tragic at the same time." The family have now raised more than £18,000 through a GoFundMe page to help bring the children's bodies home and support the parents through the unimaginable loss. Relatives, including the siblings' gran, flew out to Spain on Wednesday. Macalia continued: "Ricardo is feeling, obviously, very pained because he was in the water with them, so that's going to be hitting him hard. "That's not going to disappear from his mind. It's going to be a lot of trauma mentally for him to deal with. But families pull together, and there will be support all the way around." Paying tribute to the siblings, Macalia described their inseparable bond and adoration for another. She said: "They would fight like cat and dog at times, but they adored each other. "Maya was about to go into year nine. Very, very bright girl, even when we think she's not doing her homework, she obviously is, because her report we got at the end of summer was amazing. "She is very, very athletic. Very determined individual. When she wanted something she was adamant she was going to get it. She was very as a character, she was very sarcastic and humorous."

DJs laugh as young mum slowly kills herself drinking water live on air
Jennifer Strange, 28, died after drinking too much water for a radio show competition, with the two DJs laughing as she drank herself to death A chilling incident unfolded on American radio when two DJs were heard chuckling as a contestant fatally overdosed on water live on air, all in the hopes of securing a Nintendo Wii for her kids. Jennifer Strange, 28, took part in KDND-FM 107.9's Morning Rave show on January 12, 2007, aiming to win the sought-after gaming console for her three children, just months after its release. The 'Hold Your Pee for a Wii' contest required participants to consume copious amounts of water without relieving themselves, with the last person standing winning the Nintendo Wii. From 6:45am, Jennifer was among 18 contestants drinking from 240ml bottles every quarter of an hour at the KDND studios in Sacramento, California, with the volume of water intake increasing as the competition progressed. On-air, Jennifer expressed discomfort, saying, "My head hurts. They keep telling me that it's the water... that it will tell my head to hurt and it'll make me puke," to which a host responded jokingly, "Who told you that, the intern?", reports the Mirror. The presenters continued to mock the situation, commenting on Jennifer's distended abdomen, laughing, "She looks pregnant," and remarking, "This is so funny." After consuming an alarming 7.6 litres of water and coming in second place, Jennifer called a colleague to say she was in excruciating pain and wouldn't make it to work. Tragically, her mother discovered her lifeless body at home just an hour later. During the lawsuit initiated by Jennifer's family, it emerged that several listeners of the show, including a nurse, had tried to stop the prank by calling the DJs to alert them about the potential dangers. Eva Brooks voiced her concerns saying: "Those people that are drinking all that water can get sick and possibly die from water intoxication," but was told by the show that they "were aware of that" and that participants had signed releases absolving the station of responsibility. Despite these warnings, the competition proceeded, with the volume of water ingested escalating as the event progressed. The Strange family's solicitor, Roger Dreyer, refuted claims that Jennifer had signed any liability waiver, pointing out that the radio station couldn't present such a document in court. She had only agreed to a form allowing the use of the contest for promotional purposes. Following Jennifer's tragic demise, The Morning Rave broadcast was immediately taken off air, and the station was ordered to compensate her family $16.5million for wrongful death. No criminal charges were brought forward in relation to the incident. Her husband, William Strange, lamented on Good Morning America, "It was a preventable thing," while Dreyer remarked: "She acted based upon the information she had."
