According to the Scottish Sun at the Smack the Pony reunion during the Edinburgh Fringe, the 63-year-old actress admitted the hit series was unlikely to continue on television.
She said: 'We've just shot the Christmas special for Two Doors Down.
'I don't think we're going to do any more, but it looks like we're going to do a live show next year at the Hydro, so that's very exciting.'
The festive episode was created amid concerns about the show's future following the sudden death of co-writer Simon Carlyle in 2023.

Simon had always hoped for a stage adaptation of the Latimer Crescent residents' antics, a wish that may now be fulfilled.
Doon had previously suggested a live show as a fitting farewell, acknowledging the challenge of producing a series without Carlyle.
She said: 'I tend to think it would be better to do a live show as a goodbye.
'I don't think it's that easy to do a series.
"Simon and Gregor used to sit together for about six months and write it.
"It's an incredible amount of work and it takes the magic of those two together.
'It's been really hard for Gregor to do it, and there has been such pressure on him.'

She said: 'That would be the perfect tribute to Simon.'
