Daily Mirror3 days ago
Heading off on holiday? There is still time to find the perfect cabin bag for less, with next day delivery for Prime members
With the school summer holidays in full swing now is the perfect time to bag a discount on new cabin bags and carry-ons. With lots of deals to be found on Amazon, it's not too late to snap up some reduced hand luggage.
As families head off on well-earned getaways, hand luggage restrictions can put a dampener on the spirits of excited overpackers. But, with so many pieces of luggage available to buy, there should be no need to worry about excess luggage fees at the airport.
Even holidaymakers who have left it to the last minute could still be in luck, with next day delivery available on many items for Amazon Prime members. With reductions on big name brands, we've found discounts on big brands including Antler, Samsonite, Nere and more.

Can't find the right thing on Amazon? This time of year sees many other retailers offering discounts on luggage. Argos for example, has 1/3 off selected cabin cases including the IT Expandable Cabin Case now £39.98, and reductions on other brands such as the American Tourister Hypercube Hard TSA Cabin Suitcase, reduced from £65 to £43.
Over at Antler, the Summer Sale continues with up to 50% off lust worthy luggage. Some of the highlights include the Essentials Backpack reduced from £115 to £69, the Soft Stripe Underseat Case reduced from £130 to £65 and the 6-Piece Packing Cube Set reduced from £75 to £60.
Even High Street homewares store Dunelm is getting in on the act, with 50% off the Elements Suitcase range starting from £17.50 and 30% off the Constellation Skyline Hard Shell Suitcase, reduced from £35 to £24.50.
To make it easier for Amazon shoppers, we've rounded up some of the best deals from Amazon and other retailers to help you find the perfect size and style for your next trip.
British Airways
To make it even easier to find the perfect bag for summer holiday adventures, we've broken down the best Amazon bargains by Airline. From the underseat heroes permitted on Ryanair to the far more spacious dimensions allowed on the likes of British Airways and Jet2, there are deals to be found.
As the flag carrier for the UK, British Airways likes to market its seats to the discerning traveller who no doubt carries luggage to suit. Whether you are flying long-haul or somewhere closer to home, they are strict about how much can be taken onboard.
Each passenger can bring one cabin bag or case measuring no more than 56 x 40 x 23cm and one personal item measuring no more than 40 x 30 x 15cm, and passengers must be able to lift them into the overhead lockers.
Antler Single Stripe Hard Shell Cabin Suitcase - was £160, Now £136
Aerolite Lightweight 55cm Hard Shell 34L Cabin Case - was £49.99, now £29.99
Samsonite Base Boost - Spinner S - Was £155, now £89.95
American Tourister Soundbox Spinner - was £145, now £101
Delsey Segur 2.0 - was £205, now £199
EasyJet
The budget airline allows each passenger to bring one cabin bag measuring no more than 45 x 36 x 25cm and weighing no more than 15kg on board with them. This is slightly smaller than the normal rules for cabin cases so passengers are advised to always measure bags before they fly.
Some of the best cabin bags and cases for easyJet passengers include:
Cabin Max Suitcase - was £49, now £39
Antler Soft Stripe Underseat Cabin Suitcase - Was £130, now £78
Antler Discovery Laptop Backpack - was £140, now £112
Aerolite easyJet Cabin Case - was £37.99, now £29.99
Samsonite Guardit Classy Backpack - was £79, now £66
Ryanair
Ryanair is strict regarding hand luggage and if any bags exceed the airline's size restrictions, they will be placed in the airport's cargo hold and passengers will need to pay excess baggage fee at check-in.
The rules may be strict on Ryanair, but they are pretty straightforward. All ticket holders are entitled to bring on a small bag measuring no more than 40cm x 20cm x 25cm, that must fit into the sizer and must not weigh any more than 10kg.
Priority boarding passengers can also bring a larger cabin bag (55 x 40 x 20cm) with a maximum weight allowance of 10kg into the cabin free of charge.
While the dimensions for the free cabin bag allowance are diminutive, they are not impossible to live with. In fact, one Ryanair-size cabin bag was so impressive it actually went viral on TikTok. Costing £9.99, the little Narwey bag made a big dent on social media and I even tried one to see what the fuss was all about. You can read my thoughts on it here.
Other compact bags that will meet the underseat measurements on Ryanair include:
Ryanair Flight Rucksack - was £20, now £16
VANKEV Ryanair Cabin Bag - was £27, now £22
Bordlite Holdall on Wheels - was £24, now £17.99
Flight Knight Ryanair Cabin Case - was £50, now £42
Jet2
Whether its for a summer holiday or simply just taking a flight with Jet2, the cabin bag restrictions remain the same. One piece of hand luggage per passenger is free of charge, as long as it weighs no more than 10kg and is no larger than 56cm x 45cm x 25cm.
Being just a teeny bit larger than the other airlines, Jet2 offers one of the most generous cabin bag allowances in the UK.
Save a few quid to stash a few more bits with these larger size cabin cases:
Aerolite Hard Cabin Case - was £44.99, now £39
Antler Logo Hard Shell Cabin Suitcase with Zip Expander - was £170, now £119
Nere Stori Cabin Case - was £99, now £69
Samsonite Airea Cabin Case - was £195, now £170
Cabin Max Anode Cabin Case - was £59, now £54
TUI
The holiday company allows one piece of hand luggage measuring no more than 55 x 40 x 20cm. It must weigh no more than 10kg and be able to be lifted into the overhead locker. This rule remains the same for passengers travelling on a package holiday or a flight-only basis.
As a pretty standard size allowance for a larger piece of hand luggage, most cabin cases and bags will fit the bill.
Antler Cabin Charcoal Hard Shell Suitcase - was £155, now £123
American Tourister Soundbox Spinner - was £145, now £101
Kono Cabin carry-on suitcase - was £56.99, was £39.99
Antler Chelsea Travel Backpack - was £140, now £98
Lossga Underseat Travel Bag - was £33.99, now £27
With so many to choose from, there are thousands of reviews to look through on Amazon. One shopper who snapped up the VANKEV Ryanair Cabin Bag gave it five-stars, saying: "I have just bought the VANKEV Ryanair Cabin Bag for an upcoming trip, and I have to say, it really impressed me. The size is just right for under seat storage, fitting perfectly within airline guidelines."
Another who purchased the Nere Stori Cabin Case was very impressed, saying: "This small carry-on suitcase really is one of the best I've tried. Whether you are going away for a weekend or taking it on a flight, this case really is perfect for travel."
Buyers who purchased the ever-popular Ryanair Narwey Bag have also left glowing reviews, saying: "This bag is brilliant to take on the plane it sits under the seat and is very roomy. Perfect for budget airlines."
Not all customers were quite so impressed. One customer who purchased the Kono Cabin Case, said: "Smaller than advertised by >2cm in each dimension Handle very flimsy - will break with any strong force."

Online shopping giants Amazon and eBay to pay the price for electrical waste

AMAZON and eBay will have to fund a new crackdown on fly-tipped electrical goods, starting next week. The online shopping giants will be forced to cover the costs of cleaning up e-waste from our streets. 2 2 British firms like Currys and Argos already have to pick up the tab for recycling things like TVs and fridges. But now huge internet companies will also have to report all sales of electronic items. This will then be used to work out their bill. Mary Creagh, Circular Economy Minister, said: 'Online giants must pay their fair share for cleaning up e-waste their overseas traders sell to UK consumers. 'This Government will always back British business. "We are levelling the playing field and stopping the avalanche of single use tech filling our bins.'

Garden owners race to buy ‘absolute beast' of a chainsaw reduced by 54% on Amazon

SHOPPERS looking to bring down some trees this summer should head to Amazon. The online giant has slashed a mini-size chainsaw down to £59.99 - but you can save even more if you redeem a special voucher code. With the sunny weather sending Brits into their gardens, it's the perfect time to get to grips with any overgrown trees or hedges you've been putting off all year. You can finally get the garden ready for those summer BBQs and outdoor parties. It's no surprise that this particular model is Amazon's best-selling chainsaw right now, especially with that massive price drop making it an absolute steal. Now 54%, this is your chance to get your hands on a serious bit of tree-slicing kit for less than forty quid. We in the Sun Shopping team haven't tested this saw ourselves - for a list of tried-and-tested recommendations, head to our gardening editor's best chainsaws round-up. But a quick glance over the specs on the Amazon page shows an impressive-looking budget tool. The chainsaw is powered by not one, but two 2000mAh high-capacity batteries. That means you can get a solid 30-40 minutes of cutting done without having to stop. That's plenty of time to chop up logs or tidy up some messy branches. It's also kitted out with a powerful 880W motor that the brand claims can cut through a 6-inch log in just 8 seconds. The manufacturer claims its sorted out the "motor smoke and battery issues" from previous models, so this new one should be a lot more reliable. It also boasts an auto-oiler system, which is a brilliant little feature that keeps the chain lubricated and running smoothly without you having to do it yourself. This pocket-rocket has also racked up over 500 five-star reviews on Amazon, with buyers raving about its performance and value for money. Absolutely awesome little beast!" one customer wrote "I cannot believe how powerful [it] is! "I wasn't expecting great things, being so cheap, but my word, it has astounded me with how quickly it cuts and how long the batteries last... I'm one very happy customer." Another reviewer loved how it "can cut up quite good-sized logs," praising the convenience of having the two rechargeable batteries to hand. A third buyer called it a "great tool for a great price," adding that it "cuts through hard and soft woods, pallets are a breeze, thick branches no issue." Now, we can't be sure how long this deal will last, especially the extra promo code that you'll need to redeem at checkout. These bolt-on discounts have a habit of disappearing without a moment's notice, so you'll have to be quick. If you want to get your hands on this bargain, act quickly - just like that pesky privet hedge, the price could shoot right up again soon.
