
Three youths arrested after armed bank robbery in Durham
Police arrested a 14-year-old male from Mississauga, 17-year-old male from Mississauga and a 17-year-old male from Brampton. A fourth suspect has been identified and is in police custody.
The robbery occurred on June 10 at the Northern Credit Union, when four masked males entered the bank and stole an undisclosed amount of money. One suspect was observed holding a machete, while another held a handgun.
Chief of Police Jeremy White said the event was terrifying for the town.
'Holding these individuals accountable despite their young age is an important part of helping our community feel safe again,' said White.

Impaired driver arrested near Canada Day event: Summerside police
Police in Summerside, P.E.I., say they arrested an impaired driver near the city's Canada Day event grounds on Tuesday. Summerside Police Services was told by the RCMP to be on the look out for a car driving toward Summerside around 9:10 p.m. The vehicle reportedly had been swerving and driving erratically. Summerside police found the vehicle on Heather Moyse Drive near the Canada Day event grounds. Police say officers activated their emergency lights and sirens, but the driver did not stop. The pursuit ended when another police car was able to cut the vehicle off and force it to stop. Police say the driver was showing signs of impairment and was arrested at the scene. The man, a 39-year-old from Alberton, gave two breath samples. Police say one registered three times the legal limit and the other registered twice the legal limit. The man's vehicle was impounded and he was issued an administrative driving prohibition. Two people dead after motorcycle and SUV collide in Annapolis County

Annapolis District RCMP responded to the two-vehicle collision on Highway 101 near Purdy Road around 1:35 p.m. Tuesday. Police say a westbound Dodge Journey SUV and eastbound Honda motorcycle collided head-on. The motorcycle driver and passenger – a 64-year-old man and a 63-year-old woman from Bear River East – died at the scene. The driver of the SUV – a 51-year-old man from Meteghan River – was airlifted to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing. Man shot in the back while walking riverbank near St. John's Park toward Redwood Bridge
Social Sharing A man is recovering after police say he was shot in the back by an unknown male this week while walking along the riverbank in Winnipeg's North End. The man in his 30s told police he was walking along the riverbank near St. John's Park toward the Redwood Bridge around 8 p.m. Tuesday when a male he didn't know confronted him and shot him in the back. The man, who never saw the shooter, ran to Main Street to call police, a news release said Friday. He was taken to hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
