These celebrity women are proving that natural beauty is the best accessory by rocking gray hair on the red carpet.
There have been so many fads and fashion statements made on the red carpet of major industry events over the years. But one look that never goes out of style is women embracing themselves and their natural beauty as much as possible! For decades, leading ladies in Hollywood have stunned the red carpet not just because of their fashion choices, but also due to the thoughtful decisions they make to shirk unrealistic standards — in some cases, by showing off their natural gray hair as Diane Keaton, Andie MacDowell, Jodie Foster, and so many more have done in recent years.
MacDowell made some major headlines in 2021 when she attended the Cannes Film Festival in a dazzling Prada gown, with her hair styled with her natural, voluminous curls and gray color. Since then, the actress has loved rocking her grays and we love it too. MacDowell is totally feeling herself, and her longtime fans loved seeing her embrace this time in her life and her ageless beauty.
In 2024, she told Flowspace that going gray has been her favorite look to date. 'I loved it,' she said. 'I thought my eyes looked like a completely different color. I loved my skin tone and I just really wanted to do it. I had to do this for myself, 'cause you only get one life. And this was gonna bring me so much pleasure and joy.'
But there are so many more fabulous ladies who've done the exact same on the red carpet — and the style goes back further than you may think! Take a look through the photos to see more women who have shown off their natural gray on the red carpet and at major events over the years.

Paul Merton addresses rumour he got Bruce Forsyth job hosting Strictly

Paul Merton has addressed the rumour that he was the reason Sir Bruce Forsyth was hired to host Strictly Come Dancing, stating: 'It wasn't quite like that.' It's long been claimed that the comedian was one of the reasons the BBC decided Forsyth should lead the Saturday night dance competition when it launched in 2004. His hiring came shortly after Merton recruited Forsyth to be a guest presenter on satirical panel show Have I Got News for You, which is believed to have put him on the BBC's radar to co-host Strictly alongside Tess Daly. Merton was asked in a new interview if he was responsible for getting Forsyth the job, to which he told Saga Magazine: 'I asked if we could have Bruce as a guest presenter on Have I Got News for You in 2003 and he was brilliant, a consummate professional, as you'd expect.' Merton continued: 'That seemed to reignite his career and the following year he landed Strictly.' He added that, while he has 'no idea if I had anything to do with' Forsyth's hiring, he 'would be extremely honoured' if he did 'because he was a lovely man'. At the time of Forsyth's appearance on Have I Got News for You, the entertainer's career, which was launched in the 1950s, was starting to wane. Paul Merton brushed off claims he got Bruce Forsyth the 'Strictly' job (BBC) He spent the previous decades hosting game shows including The Generation Game, Play Your Cards Right and The Price Is Right. It was Strictly that put him back on primetime television. Forsyth returned to Have I Got News for You as guest host in 2010 and, in 2013, he became the oldest person to perform at Glastonbury Festival, aged 85. The presenter, who stepped down as host of Strictly's live shows in 2014, made his final TV appearance on a Children in Need-themed Strictly special n November 2015. His health soon deteriorated and he died of bronchial pneumonia aged 89 on 18 August 2017. Forsyth became the oldest person to perform at Glastonbury Festival in 2013 (Getty Images) Two weeks later, Strictly host Daly paid tribute to Forsyth during that year's launch show, stating: 'There is one person in our hearts, and we want to do him proud.' Claudia Winkleman, who replaced Forsyth as Daly's co-host, added: 'We all miss him dreadfully.' Ahead of his death, Forsyth admitted that Strictly had limited his talents. He told Hello: 'On the Generation Game, for example, I could have fun – I was allowed to be 'Loose Bruce'. I could do whatever I liked and interact with whomever. 'That's the real me. A presenter on Strictly isn't the real Bruce.'

This '70s pop band has won over Gen Z (again) with 1 billion Spotify streams.

It's not 1979, but ABBA is bewitching a whole new generation with its disco magic. The iconic Swedish pop group, beloved for its infectious blend of Europop and danceable grooves, has made Spotify history with its late-'70s hit "Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! (A Man After Midnight)." The song, cowritten and coproduced by members Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus, entered Spotify's Billions Club on Sunday, July 20, after surpassing one billion streams on the music platform, Spotify exclusively confirmed to USA TODAY. This isn't the first time ABBA has dominated the streaming universe with its timeless tunes. The band's enduring anthem, "Dancing Queen," entered the Billions Club in July 2023. Released in October 1979 as part of the group's compilation album "Greatest Hits Vol. 2," "Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!" peaked at No. 1 in several territories, including Europe, Denmark, Japan and Switzerland, and cracked the top 20 in ABBA's native Sweden. The song has received a number of revivals over the years thanks to various covers and samples. '80s diva and "Queen of Pop" Madonna featured the track's opening synth line in her 2005 song "Hung Up," which peaked at No. 7 on the Billboard Hot 100. ABBA book revelations: AC/DC connection, the unlikely inspiration for 'Mamma Mia!', more Additionally, the 2008 film "Mamma Mia!" — a musical based on ABBA's hits-heavy catalog — included a version sung by stars Amanda Seyfried, Ashley Lilley and Rachel McDowall. More recently, "Gimme!" has enjoyed a digital resurgence with Gen Z, as seen on the social media platform TikTok. Several clips show young fans embracing the song's disco sound with lively, choreographed routines. ABBA racks up Gen Z fans by the millions on Spotify ABBA's streaming dominance is in part due to the group's sizable Gen Z audience. Globally, Gen Zers have accounted for 50% of ABBA's total streams on Spotify in 2025, according to the streaming service. Additionally, there have been over 11 million ABBA discoveries by Gen Z listeners on Spotify, which makes up half of the band's discoveries from all users worldwide. ‘I managed to get tickets for the big show in Manchester this weekend'

This is the moment we've all dreamed of. If you were in Manchester this weekend you surely felt the anticipation. Bars and restaurants are packed, the Metrolink was rammed, everyone is wearing the merch, young and old all scrambling to get their hands on a ticket. And that's because a very special group have reunited to put on a legendary set of shows that will be talked about for generations. Finally, they've placed their differences aside and are putting on a united front to showcase what they do best and give the people who have adored them for years what they want. There's been no media in the build up. No public 'falling out' to generate hype. This is a show where the group's raw talent simply speaks for itself. I am, of course, talking about Paw Patrol Live: The Great Pirate Adventure, at Manchester's AO Arena. There is a local Burnage act also performing this weekend - but staff around Victoria Station manage to juggle their fans en route to Bury alongside a minor army of parents and kids queueing for the AO Arena brilliantly. It's all very well organised and the atmosphere is quite celebratory and joyous from both parties. The show brings together the key cast of the beloved programme, led by Ryder, to go on a heroic mission to find hidden pirate treasure. And within moments of them marching onto the stage, there is cheering, screaming, furious mopping by staff over spilt drinks from an accident that happened the second the lights went down, and smatterings of tears too from slightly overwhelmed kids. It's a lot. As someone said to us before the show: "this is Oasis for kids". Once the mayhem all settles down though it's a really fun show: panto-on-speed, some very catchy songs and lots of very happy children in the crowd. The biggest cheers are reserved for when the pups come out on their vehicles - we love a vehicle - and the live production manages to have a flavour of the high-octane action scenes that characterise the Nickelodeon TV show which are obviously not easy to reproduce on stage. Many parents upon reaching the interval decide they're going to need a beer to get through this - even if it is almost £10 for a pint - but our three-year-old is utterly mesmerised throughout, so entranced that even his beloved Fruit Shoot doesn't interest him. At times some of the audience-participation segments don't really quite work for an arena the size of the AO, however the cast are really giving it 110%. It's a sugar-rush of an afternoon, lasting just over an hour-and-a-half plus a 20-minute break in the middle, and a great treat for kids over the summer. PAW Patrol Live! is on a roll – and coming to cities all across the UK this summer. Tickets are available now from
