I'm an ex-Miss Scotland and feel the pressure to look perfect – but I'm embracing wrinkles at 36
A FORMER Miss Scotland has revealed she's embracing her wrinkles after feeling the "pressure" to look perfect. Jennifer Reoch, 36, has taken inspiration from sofa queen Lorraine Kelly in her bid to look natural without cosmetic procedures. 5 5 5 The ex-model, from Glasgow, was crowned Miss Scotland in 2011 and is no stranger to glam photoshoots and TV appearances. She entered — and won — the annual beauty pageant before finishing seventh in Miss World. But she is more than happy to embrace her natural beauty without the full glam look on a daily basis. She told the Sunday Post:'I can see I have some wrinkles, but that's fine. It's who I am and, right now, I'm leaning into the face I've got. 'I do feel the pressure to look perfect, but I know that's not really possible all the time. 'I used to come into the Heart studios looking like you'd expect to look at that time of the morning. There are cameras in the studio but I didn't care. That's how I am in the morning!" She added: 'I have friends who might have had a cosmetic procedure and I fully support them if that's what they want. 'I wouldn't criticise them because who knows how I'll feel in a few years' time? Maybe I'll be doing the same.' 'Lorraine Kelly is a bit of an inspiration for me, and not only for what she's accomplished in broadcasting. She looks fantastic and she's very natural. I'd love to be more Lorraine.' Beauty queen turned radio breakfast host Jennifer married her fiancé Jamie Hunter in 2023 after 12 years together. I'm a proud pageant mum cashing in £15k - I wax my nine-year-old's eyebrows as I don't think she's beautiful enough, even though she hates it She has been with her GP partner since being crowned Miss Scotland. Her TV debut came when Miss World organisers invited her to front their own coverage of the finals in Bali the following year. She went on to head up many STV programmes including The Riverside Show, Live at Five and The Edinburgh Fringe Show. In 2018 she was made redundant after the loss-making STV2 channel folded. 5 But Jennifer bounced back to become a household name featuring in shows such as ITV This Morning and BBC Getaways. She co-hosted Heart Breakfast Scotland with Des Clarke every weekday morning for two years before ending her time with the radio station this month. The Scots star is now planning a podcast series about beauty pageants featuring in-depth chats with people involved in the industy.

Beloved Actress, 42, Is Unrecognizable in Rare Outing While Flaunting Her Natural Look
Beloved Actress, 42, Is Unrecognizable in Rare Outing While Flaunting Her Natural Look originally appeared on Parade. Legendary actress Erika Christensen, best known for her roles in Traffic and Parenthood, has kept a relatively low profile in recent years. But, this week, the MTV Movie Award winner was spotted during a rare outing in Los Angeles. In photos obtained by The U.S. Sun, Christensen, 42, was seen walking through the city in a sleeveless black knit top and ripped jeans. The iconic actress looked nearly unrecognizable from her early 2000s days, confidently rocking her natural look, including visible armpit hair, while out running errands. Though she's largely stayed out of the spotlight aside from the occasional social media post, Christensen remains one of Hollywood's most accomplished stars. While some may recognize her more recently from Cheaper by the Dozen and Will Trent, Christensen has racked up more than 60 acting credits across her decades-long career. One of her earliest roles came in 1995, when she appeared in Michael Jackson's Childhood music video — though, she never met the King of Pop. "I wish I could have met him, I didn't. We were green screened together,' she once told 'In the video he's sitting in a forest and all the kids are in boats above him. He sent me an autographed photo and that was nice." While her journey in Hollywood began in the '90s, it was her role in Traffic a few years later that gave her widespread acclaim. 🎬SIGN UP for Parade's Daily newsletter to get the latest pop culture news & celebrity interviews delivered right to your inbox🎬 In the Oscar-winning film directed by Steven Soderbergh, Christensen played Caroline Wakefield, a teen struggling with substance abuse. She was just 17 at the time, starring alongside Michael Douglas. Years later, Christensen got the chance to reunite with Soderbergh for the 2022 film Kimi — a full-circle moment she'd long hoped for. 'I just wanted to work with Steven Soderbergh again,' Christensen said to the Seattle Times. 'It was great. It bizarrely felt like no time had passed. But it was so nice to genuinely be an adult, addressing another adult instead of me being a child. He even had some of the same crew that I remembered from 'Traffic.'' ‘Big Bang Theory' Alum, 49, Embraces Natural Beauty in Makeup-Free Selfie
'Big Bang Theory' Alum, 49, Embraces Natural Beauty in Makeup-Free Selfie originally appeared on Parade. Mayim Bialik showed off her natural glow by ditching her makeup on social media. The Big Bang Theory alum, 49, posted an all-natural selfie via Instagram on Tuesday, July 15. In the image, a smiling Bialik sat in a car wearing brown glasses, a black baseball cap, a black shirt and a silver necklace with Hebrew letters on it. 'Fun fact: my sons' Hebrew initials spell the word מראה which means reflection,' she captioned the photo. 'Thank you Elisa Solomon for this beautiful necklace and for your advocacy.' (Bialik shares sons Miles, 19, and Frederick, 16, with ex-husband Michael Stone, to whom she was married from 2003 to 2013.) Bialik has been in the limelight since rising to fame as a child star in the late 1980s. Audiences watched her grow up as the titular character on the NBC sitcom Blossom, which aired for five seasons from 1990 to 1995. In adulthood, she enjoyed a career resurgence while portraying neuroscientist Dr. Amy Farrah Fowler on The Big Bang Theory for 10 seasons from 2010 to 2019. 🎬 SIGN UP for Parade's Daily newsletter to get the latest pop culture news & celebrity interviews delivered right to your inbox 🎬 In a January 2021 interview with NewBeauty, Bialik revealed the most difficult part of aging in the public eye. 'Everyone examining your wrinkles!' she said with a laugh. 'Having evidence of my youth on video is sobering for sure. I see me at my 'best' and then compare that to the mirror — I can't help it! I am a human! Also, there is a lot of pressure in Hollywood to have procedures done and that can be hard.' Since The Big Bang Theory ended, Bialik starred on the Fox sitcom Call Me Kat for three seasons from 2021 to 2023, hosted Jeopardy! from 2021 to 2023 and launched her podcast, 'Mayim Bialik's Breakdown' — which is cohosted and executive produced by her boyfriend, Jonathan Cohen — in 2021. Jazan's Black Mountain rises to new tourism heights
RIYADH: Black Mountain, located in Al-Raith governorate of the Jazan region, is one of Saudi Arabia's most striking natural landmarks, according to a Saudi Press Agency report. Named for its dark, volcanic rock formations, the mountain offers more than just dramatic colors. It is a place of raw natural beauty and ecological significance. Rising more than 2,000 meters above sea level, it ranks among the highest peaks in Jazan. Its rugged surroundings include sloping plains and winding valleys that attract hikers, nature photographers, and those seeking solitude in nature. For much of the year, especially in winter and spring, the mountain's peaks are cloaked in fog. Its slopes are lined with native trees and traditional agricultural terraces that have supported generations of local farmers cultivating corn, millet, and coffee. Several villages sit nearby, where locals maintain a deep connection with the land, the SPA reported. Folklore passed down through generations speaks of the mountain as a refuge for shepherds and travelers in earlier times. With the rise of ecotourism and outdoor exploration across the Kingdom, interest in Black Mountain has grown. Young hikers, campers, and photography enthusiasts are increasingly drawn to its scenic terrain. To support this, authorities are developing the site with walking trails, observation points, and informational signage that highlights local culture and biodiversity.

People are stunned when I tell them how I reversed my age – you don't need Botox or expensive creams to look younger
WHILE most of us are throwing hundreds at pricey skincare and Botox in a desperate bid to hold onto our youth, one woman has gone completely natural and looks incredible. Zareefa, known to her 280k TikTok fans as @byzareefa, is turning heads online with her jaw-dropping beauty secrets that cost as little as 20p. 2 2 Her hacks promise glowing, youthful skin without a single needle or luxury serum in sight. The 34-year-old wellness guru says she's never had Botox or fillers, and swears by a handful of quirky, all-natural tricks passed down through generations and now she's sharing them with the world. Here are her top tricks to shaving 20 years off your age. Flax seed face lift Let's start with her viral flax seed face mask, dubbed 'Botox at home' by fans, and for good reason. Zareefa said: 'I took a TikTok face mask and made it 10 times better,' 'You're literally erasing dark spots and plumping up fine lines. I haven't had any injectables, and I'm 34!' All it takes is one tablespoon of flaxseed meal and half a cup of boiling water. Let it cool for 30 minutes to an hour until it turns into a jelly-like consistency. Zareefa then adds a pump of Elmo Beauty Sea Spot Run serum to supercharge the mask, targeting hyperpigmentation, texture, and breakouts all at once. After applying and rinsing, she's left with what she calls 'literal glass skin.' I'm 50 next year & don't have a single wrinkle thanks to a product from Boots or TikTok shop - I've never had Botox And the best part is this DIY treatment costs less than a supermarket meal deal. Egg shells smoothies Next up in Zareefa's age-reversing arsenal is eggshell membrane. Yep, the slimy bit stuck to the inside of your boiled egg. While most of us wouldn't think twice before binning it, Zareefa insists it's the secret to plumper skin, glossy hair, and strong joints , thanks to its powerful combo of collagen, hyaluronic acid, and elastin. She said: 'Sometimes I add it to my smoothies, but most of the time I just eat it with the egg,' she said. And there's science to back it up, studies show this natural supplement can boost skin elasticity and reduce wrinkles in just a few weeks. Ancient cultures even used it to heal wounds and regenerate tissue. So next time you're peeling a boiled egg, think twice before chucking the magic membrane. Banana peel Botox If you thought things couldn't get any weirder, or cheaper, think again. Zareefa has sparked a TikTok frenzy by revealing that the humble banana peel can work just like Botox. Packed with lutein, a powerful antioxidant also found in spinach and kale, the peel helps brighten skin, reduce wrinkles, and fade dark spots, all for around 25p. 'My mum used to do this every time we had bananas,' she told her fans. 'She'd make us eat the banana and use the peel on her face!' Zareefa recommends rubbing the inside of the peel on your skin and leaving it on for ten minutes before rinsing. Do it a few times a week and, she says, you'll see a dramatic difference in hydration, texture and radiance. She tells beauty lovers to consider it as preventative Botox and says "you're not going to need any injectables if you're doing this consistently". And the internet agrees. The video racked up over 10 million views in just three days, with thousands praising the hack as 'life-changing' and 'literally affordable advice.' One fan joked: 'Finally something I can actually try, not £200 night creams.' Another wrote: 'God really gave us everything we need. No more artificial stuff!' So if you've been thinking of booking in for Botox or splashing out on yet another luxury serum, maybe it's time to raid your kitchen first. Because according to Zareefa, the secret to eternal youth might be hiding in your fridge, not a fancy clinic. How is celery juice an anti-ageing potion? Celery juice is packed with antioxidants like vitamin C and flavonoids, which combat free radicals that cause cellular damage and aging. Its high water content keeps your skin hydrated and plump, reducing the appearance of wrinkles. The anti-inflammatory compounds in celery, such as apigenin and luteolin, help reduce chronic inflammation linked to ageing. Rich in essential nutrients like vitamin K and potassium, celery juice supports overall skin health and body functions. Drinking celery juice regularly can complement a balanced diet and skincare routine, promoting a youthful glow from within.
