This is the moment a taxi passenger jumped out of a moving car to allegedly avoid paying the fare.
Footage captured the woman dived out of a white Renault travelling at speed on a road in Itapetininga in Sao Paulo state, Brazil.
The passenger is seen tumbling out of the rear right door of the car and landing on the road, before managing to pick herself up and limp away.
Local media reported that she began to make her escape as soon as the cab driver requested the fare.
A passing cyclist is seen appearing to stop to check if she was ok, before she is seen walking off.
The taxi driver claimed he was about to drive to the police station after the woman said she didn't have the cash to pay for her journey.
She had also given a different name on the way to the town centre to the one the trip was booked under.
She was travelling with Ubiz Car, a local Uber-style ride-hailing service in Brazil.
As of 2022, the app covered 24 cities in the country and had more than 5,000 drivers on its books.
The lady eventually paid the fare, totalling 10.40 Brazilian reals (or £1.38) by bank transfer.
In Brazil, cab hailings apps including Uber offer cash as a payment option when calling a ride. More Trending
Last month, the Uber trialled accepting cash payments for all journeys in the UK outside London.
Drivers can however opt out of accepting physical money if they are don't wish to handle the notes and coins or are concerned about passengers running off without paying – known as bilking.
Those that choose to take cash can refund any change due via the app.
While the US giant has typically battled Chinese competitor DiDi for the market in South America, several local startup rivals have more recently entered the fray.

Love Island star jailed for 14 years over role in ‘Amazon-style' drugs cartel which flooded UK with narcotics
She helped flood UK streets with "eye-opening" amounts of drugs 'KINGPIN' BARBIE Love Island star jailed for 14 years over role in 'Amazon-style' drugs cartel which flooded UK with narcotics Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) A LOVE Island star has been jailed for 14 years for her crucial role in a multi-million pound "Amazon-style" drug smuggling operation. Magdalena Sadlo, nicknamed Barbie, helped transport hundreds of kilos of cocaine across the world for a major cartel based in the Middle East. Carlisle Crown Court heard that Sadlo, of Bracknell, Berkshire, was brought in as a financial director for the smuggling ring. Their operation was so slick that some investigators compared it to Amazon. She helped organise the shipment of cocaine, ketamine and cannabis to Holland and then on to Britain. Prosecuting, Tim Evans told how the international cartel could not have operated at the level it did without Sadlo's "efficiency". He said: "She not only manages the profits, costs and expenses but also manages the stock levels. "She updates who has taken what, at what cost, from what batch and the profit margins involved. "She is very much part of the inner circle… and is operating and seated at the very highest of tables. "She clearly knew the scale and seriousness of the trade she was engaging in. "No organised crime group working at this level could operate or function without Magdalena Sadlo, or an equivalent, performing this role." While based in the UK, she operated as a drugs courier, often collecting cocaine as it was imported into the port of Harwich in Essex. Drugs experts believe she moved 300kg of cocaine across seven trips, including 33kg of cocaine to Greater Manchester on one date alone. Love Island star, 29, caught smuggling COCAINE on flight from Dubai as part of £53MILLION drug ring The drugs were stored in safe houses in the Manchester area before being distributed to dealers over several months using BMWs. She then helped launder the proceeds by investing in designer clothes and luxury watches including a £130,000 Patek Philippe and a £30,000 Rolex. Detectives held Sadlo when she landed at Heathrow Airport on February 13 last year, having flown Emirates first class from Dubai. She was caught carrying luxury watches, bracelets and rings, and a 'crime CV' boasting her business acumen and qualifications. Encrypted texts on her phones revealed her "Barbie" nickname. In one message, she quipped: 'The devil works hard, but Barbie works harder.' Sadlo was due to have been sentenced in April after admitting conspiring to supply drugs and to launder money. 6 Encrypted texts on her phones revealed her 'Barbie' nickname Credit: Not known, clear with picture desk 6 Detectives held Sadlo (left) when she landed at Heathrow Airport in February last year Credit: Polsat / Love Island But sentencing was adjourned after insisting she played only a minor role as a £1,000-a-month personal assistant. Finally sentencing her to 14 years yesterday, Judge Nicholas Barker said that Sadlo was "central" to the organisation. He added: "I conclude there was gain and reward and in some way considerable to you. "You are an intelligent woman and well understand risk and reward. "I find you acted with real enthusiasm and sought to impress those at top." Thirteen members of the gang have already been jailed for up to 20 years each.

Florida sheriff warns rioters 'we will kill you' as protests spread across US
To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video A Florida sheriff has issued a stark warning to anyone planning to protest against immigration raids in his state. Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey was speaking at a press conference ahead of roughly 1,800 protests planned across the US today (June 14). Some of those are in opposition to the Washington military parade that marks the 250th anniversary of the US Army and coincides with president Donald Trump's 79th birthday, with others protesting immigration raids. Protests in Los Angeles, California are continuing for an eighth day, and they have spread across the country with riot police sent to at least five more cities. California governor Gavin Newsom filed an emergency motion to try and stop Trump sending in the National Guard and Marines, saying their presence would encourage civil unrest and increase tensions. Meanwhile, Trump likened the protests to a 'foreign invasion'. But Sheriff Ivey has made his stance on rioting and protests in his state and elsewhere very clear. 'You're watching what's taking place out there. You're seeing police officers that are being attacked, being spit on, being being put in harm's way just for doing their jobs,' he said at the press conference on Thursday. 'You're seeing ICE agents that are being targeted for doing their jobs and you're seeing obstructionists that are doing all of this, standing in the way of law and order. 'Not here, not in the state of Florida. 'If (you) throw a brick, a firebomb, or point a gun at one of our deputies, we will be notifying your family where to collect your remains at because we will kill you, graveyard dead. 'We're not going to play. This has got to stop.' Florida's attorney general James Uthmeier added 'we do not allow rioting in the state of Florida' to applause from the audience. It's been about five years since an anti-riot act, the Combating Public Disorder Act, was passed in the state. The act came into force following thousands of Black Lives Matter protests which swept the US after the death of George Floyd in 2020. It increased penalties for anyone taking part in a violent public disturbance and gave law enforcement more leeway in dealing with violent protesters. The bill also allows people to sue local governments for damages caused during a riot or unlawful assembly, creates new crimes that include mob intimidation and inciting a riot, and means anyone who tears down a memorial to a historical figure could face up to 15 years in prison. More Trending Sheriff Ivey continued: 'If you resist lawful orders, you're going to jail. Let me be very clear about that. 'If you block an intersection or roadway in Brevard County, you are going to jail. If you flee arrest, you're going to go to jail tired because we are going to run you down and put you in jail. 'If you try to mob rule a car in Brevard County, gathering around it, refusing to let the driver leave, in our county you're most likely going to get run over and dragged across the street. 'If you spit on us, you're going to the hospital and in jail. If you hit one of us, you're going to the hospital and jail and most likely get bitten by one of our big, beautiful dogs that we have here.' Also discovered were two false Chinese passports which were found in plastic boxes. He also admitted possession of counterfeit Chinese passports. Bob McCormack, defending, told the court that his client had been handed the passports by others. The lawyer added: "The quality of the passports were laughable and it is wholly improbable that they could be used and presented. "When he was handed these passports, he should have reported them but he put them on top of a cupboard. "My client was engaged in playing cards at this location." A charge of Xheng providing gambling facilities without a licence had a not guilty plea accepted by the Crown.
