Rock band Heart offering reward for instruments stolen ahead of U.S. tour
Two irreplaceable instruments owned by members of the rock band Heart were stolen from a venue in New Jersey last weekend, and the musicians are now offering a reward for information leading to their return.
The band was set to kick off its U.S. tour, titled An Evening With Heart, at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City, N.J. on Saturday, and its gear had been set up the day prior to the show. Among the items stolen were a custom-built, purple sparkle baritone Telecaster guitar with a hand-painted headstock made for Nancy Wilson, and a vintage 1966 Gibson EM-50 mandolin that Paul Moak has played for over 25 years.
"These instruments are more than just tools of our trade — they're extensions of our musical souls," Wilson said in a statement issued by the group. "We're heartbroken, and we're asking for their safe return — no questions asked. Their value to us is immeasurable."
Heart is led by Wilson and her sister, Ann, who have made music together since the '70s and have released hits including Barracuda, Magic Man, Crazy on You and Alone. The Rock & Roll Hall of Famers were honoured with a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Recording Academy in 2023.

Jury deliberations to resume in Harvey Weinstein's sex crimes retrial
Harvey Weinstein appears for his retrial at a Manhattan court, Wednesday, May 21, 2025, in New York. (AP Photo/Pamela Smith, Pool) NEW YORK — A Manhattan jury will resume deliberations Friday in Harvey Weinstein's sex crimes retrial after ending its first day without reaching a verdict in a case that encapsulated the #MeToo movement. The panel, which was handed the case Thursday morning, has requested to hear a readback of some testimony from two of Weinstein's accusers, as well as to see medical records from one of those women. The jury of seven women and five men is considering two counts of criminal sex act and one count of rape against the 73-year-old Oscar-winning movie producer, with the criminal sex act charges the higher-degree felonies. Weinstein has pleaded not guilty. Sexual misconduct allegations against Weinstein propelled the #MeToo movement in 2017. He was eventually convicted of sex crimes in New York and California, but the New York conviction was overturned last year, leading to the retrial before a new jury and a different judge. Jurors heard more than five weeks of testimony, including lengthy testimony from three accusers. Tom Cruise is awarded Guinness World Record with fiery ‘Mission: Impossible 8' stunt
In this July 27, 2015 photo, Tom Cruise attends the premiere of 'Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation' in Times Square in New York. (Photo by Evan Agostini / Invision / AP) Tom Cruise is now a title-holder for a daring stunt he performed for the latest installment of the 'Mission: Impossible' franchise. According to the Guinness Book of World Records, Cruise now holds the title for the 'most burning parachute jumps by an individual,' with his jump count clocking in at 16 times. 'Tom doesn't just play action heroes – he is an action hero!' Craig Glenday, Editor-in-Chief of Guinness World Records, said in a statement Thursday. 'A large part of his success can be chalked up to his absolute focus on authenticity and pushing the boundaries of what a leading man can do.' Glenday added that it's 'an honour to be able to recognize his utter fearlessness with this new Guinness World Records title.' Cruise conducted the fiery jumps as a stunt while filming for 'Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning,' the eighth film in the popular action franchise in which Cruise has starred since 1996. In a video posted posted to the official YouTube page for Paramount Pictures, the studio behind the film, Cruise is seen discussing logistics for the stunt with stunt coordinators, saying, 'I am going to be deploying. If this is twisted while it's burning, I am going to be spinning and burnt.' He later said in the clip that he wanted to be 'real smart, I'm not saying be risky,' adding with a smirk, 'We don't take risks… obviously.' The clip shows Cruise sky-diving out of the helicopter with his burning parachute all 16 times in rapid succession as the 'Mission: Impossible' theme song plays in the background. This latest stunt is far from the first daring feat Cruise has performed. In addition to his performance around the Olympic Games last summer, the actor is known for conducting his own stunts in his movies.
