Target Circle 360 members can now get lower-priced deliveries. Here's what to know
Members of Target's paid Target Circle 360 subscription same-day delivery service are getting a new perk: lower-priced deliveries.
Subscribers to the Target Circle 360 program ($99 annual fee), which the retailer launched in April 2024, get free unlimited same-day delivery on orders over $35 from Target. However, there were price markups on orders on products from the 100+ Target retail partners delivered through online delivery company Shipt, which Target purchased in 2017.
Target announced the removal of same-day delivery price markups on Monday, May 19. That means when there's no markup from the store price when Target Circle 360 members order products from any of the retailers and grocery stores in Target's Shipt network – CVS, PetSmart, Lowe's Home Improvement and local stores such as Hy-Vee and Giant Eagle are among them.
The Buc-ee's empire expands: Where is the beloved convenience store opening next?
Product price markups vary, but Target says Target Circle 360 members will save nearly $20 per order with this new perk. (Some items from alcohol retailers are exempt from no markups.)
'From the start, Target Circle 360 has been about building strong relationships with our guests and growing with them to deliver more value and ease,' said Cara Sylvester, Target's executive vice president and chief guest experience officer, in a press release. 'We've built a true digital shopping center experience – making your Saturday errand run easier, faster and more affordable."
What is Target Circle 360?
The subscription delivery service is a competitor to other paid membership programs such as Amazon Prime and those launched by competitors such as Costco, Sam's Club and Walmart – all meant to cater to consumers wanting faster, free deliveries.
Target Circle 360 is different from the free-to-join Target Circle loyalty program, which gets you deals and rewards for shopping at Target. Target Circle 360 includes all those features, plus faster same-day deliveries (your order must add up to $35 or more) and free 2-day shipping on many items. Other perks: No-rush returns, early access to deals, and freebies on the first of each month.
The cost: $99 per year or $10.99 monthly. If you have a Target Circle credit card, you can get a discounted $49 annual fee for Target Circle 360.
New Target Circle members get an additional perk: $20 off their first order of $75 or more from Shipt's network of retailers (one per member; not valid on alcohol purchases).

Bogus social media accounts fueled backlash over Target rollback of DEI: ‘Masterclass in manufactured outrage'

A coordinated campaign used bogus social media accounts to amplify backlash against Target after the company scaled back its Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiatives, according to a blockbuster report. An analysis by Israeli tech firm Cyabra found that nearly a third of the social media accounts driving outrage over the retail giant's policy change were fake. The Minneapolis-based retailert announced it would roll back its controversial initiatives — which had drawn scorn from conservatives for touting items such as tuck-friendly bathing suits — after President Trump returned to the White House on Jan. 20. Cyabra reviewed thousands of posts on Elon Musk-owned X, formerly Twitter, from Jan. 1 to April 21 and discovered that 27% of the accounts were inauthentic — many of which played a major role in pushing boycott narratives. 4 A coordinated disinformation campaign helped amplify backlash against Target, according to a report. REUTERS Cyabra's data showed that inauthentic posts jumped 764% after Target's announcement, flooding the platform with calls for consumer boycotts and viral hashtags like #EconomicBlackout. The firm's CEO, Dan Brahmy, described the backlash as a calculated effort to manufacture outrage. 'What happened with Target is a masterclass in manufactured outrage,' Brahmy told The Post on Thursday. 'Fake accounts hijacked the narrative, weaponized identity and pushed a boycott that looked grassroots but was anything but. This is how influence operations work now — they blur the line between real and fake until no one can tell the difference.' Many of the fake accounts were designed to mimic real users and took on the identities of black consumers or conservative commentators, according to Cyabra's findings, which were obtained by The Post. Some profiles pushed slogans such as 'Target Fast' and '40-day boycott,' while others accused the retailer of 'bending the knee' to Trump. 4 Cyabra's data showed that inauthentic posts jumped 764% after Target's announcement that it was scaling back its DEI. Cyabra One purported X user with the handle NenelsBack posted on Jan. 27: 'Target can't get my money. It's like being betrayed by a family member. We gave Target so much respect. BLK folk named Target, Targe't.' Another with the handle Nickolas Medina fanned the flames on the boycott push by posting on April 18: 'I stopped going to Target because of their support for the trans agenda. I think that is a greater motivation for people to boycott Target Target than DEI.' Both were found to be posted by fake accounts, according to the report, first cited by USA Today. 'We don't just look at what's being said, we analyze how it's being said, and whether they are even real,' Cyabra spokesperson Jill Burkes told The Post. 'We flag accounts that post in lockstep, recycle the same hashtags and slogans, or only interact within closed loops of other suspicious accounts.' Cyabra, which uses artificial intelligence to detect coordinated manipulation campaigns, did not find clear evidence linking the campaign to a specific foreign or domestic actor. 4 An Israeli analytics firm did a study which found a large number of posts from fake social media accounts fueled talk of a boycott. Cyabra However, the tactic of inflaming culture war debates through synthetic engagement has become increasingly common, particularly in polarized consumer environments. In a follow-up analysis of conversations on X from May 27 to June 3, Cyabra found the campaign had not only persisted but intensified. On some days, fake accounts made up 39% of the conversation –outnumbering genuine users. Cyabra has seen similar tactics used against other major brands, from fast food chains to tech companies. 4 Cyabra reviewed thousands of posts on X, formerly Twitter, from Jan. 1 to April 21 and discovered that 27% of the accounts were inauthentic. Cyabra 'The playbook is similar: hijack a polarizing moment, flood the zone with fake voices and let real users do the rest,' Burkes said. 'That's exactly what happened with Target. And it works — the stock dropped $12 billion and real people joined the boycott thinking they were part of a massive groundswell. Many still are.' The Post has sought comment from Target. Last month, Target lowered its full-year sales forecast. CEO Brian Cornell blamed several headwinds, including 'the reaction to the updates we shared on [DEI] in January.' Minneapolis activist Nekima Levy Armstrong, who launched a grassroots boycott of Target on Feb. 1, told USA Today she had no knowledge of the disinformation campaign identified by Cyabra. 'I'm not on X and I know our people in Minneapolis have no involvement in this situation,' Armstrong said.

Nintendo Switch 2 Is Out Now: Here's How To Get One ASAP

PCMag editors select and review products independently. If you buy through affiliate links, we may earn commissions, which help support our testing. Nintendo's Switch 2 pre-order process was full of drama and uncertainty, with political delays, price uncertainty and more. But the console is finally out, and people are taking the day off work to enjoy all the new games and experiences. If you didn't manage to snag a Switch 2, don't lose hope. We're keeping tabs on all the major retailers to let you know when they're in stock. Nintendo's online store handled preorders differently than any other retailer, using a loyalty program to place potential buyers on a waitlist without any financial commitment. If you registered a pre-order commitment and received an invitation, you can purchase a Switch 2 online right now, as well as the Switch 2 with Mario Kart World bundle. They are no longer accepting entry to the list, so prospective purchasers will need to wait until it clears out to buy from Nintendo directly. Other retailers opened up preorders on April 24th and quickly sold out, but we've got the links to check stock and see if they've found a few more to sell. Amazon did not offer pre-orders for the Switch 2 at all, and they still don't have a product page up for the console itself. There are multiple Switch 2 games on sale there, and we're going to check in daily to update this when they finally go on sale. Until then, check for Switch 2 stock here. Walmart is currently sold out of both the Nintendo Switch 2 and the Nintendo Switch 2 with Mario Kart World bundle online. In-store availability will vary, so if you have a Walmart near you it's worth giving them a call to see if they have any in stock. Even though they specialize in PC products, Newegg is an underrated spot to pick up consoles as well. They are currently sold out of Switch 2 consoles. You can sign up to be notified when the base console or the Mario Kart World bundle come back in stock. GameStop is sold out of Switch 2 consoles online, as well as the Switch 2 with Mario Kart World bundle. Some retail locations may have consoles for purchase, so give your local branch a call. They also have all the accessories and games you'd expect. If you join GameStop Pro as a new member, you can get $65 off on your purchase. Target will put the Switch 2 console online for retail sale tomorrow, June 6. However, if you're near a physical location, their website will tell you if they have consoles in stock. I just checked, and at my closest Target they still have two available before the store opens at 9. If you're up for a drive, check the website to see if they have stock and grab a Switch today. Best Buy is currently sold out of Switch 2 systems for online order. You can check their landing page for Switch 2 information, but brick and mortar stores do still have consoles available. Call before you go and see if they'll set one aside for you. Many locations will opened at 12:01 a.m. on June 5 for eager Nintendo fans, though, so stock might be low. Best Buy Plus and Total members will get $20 bonus rewards for every $150 spent on select Nintendo games and hardware. Tracking availability across numerous retailers is a big job, but it's exactly what we're here for. Many stores will let you bookmark products and be emailed updates when they're available. Another way to get the inside scoop on availability is with the Nintendo Today! app. This iOS and Android app gives you a direct line to the legendary game company with updates every 24 hours, and that includes Switch 2 news. It's also a good idea to follow us on X for up-to-the-minute deals, as we'll post when we see retailers putting Switch 2s up for sale. If you need a rundown on the hardware, we've got you covered. Lead analyst Will Greenwald has the complete rundown of the system's specs. If you want the Cliff's Notes, it has a similar footprint to the original Switch, with an all-in-one unit that contains both the console hardware and a 7.9-inch LCD screen, coupled with removable Joy-Con 2 controllers. But even the things that look similar have been redesigned from the ground up. Go ahead and check out our comparison of the Nintendo Switch 2 versus Switch 1 for a deeper dive on how they stack up. One interesting thing is that many physical Switch software purchases won't have the game software on a cartridge, but rather a "Game Key card," which require an Internet connection to use. When you insert the card into the Switch console for the first time, it downloads the actual game to the card from an external server. After that initial download, you no longer need an Internet connection to play it. It's an offbeat idea, and we've got all the details here. The new Joy-Con 2 controllers look similar to the first version, but now attach to the console and other accessories magnetically, for a secure fit. They also feature mouse controls, meaning you can slide them across a flat surface for cursor-moving input, as well as a new dedicated button that activates voice chat features. As for games, you can guarantee that Nintendo is going to have can't-miss first-party titles available at launch. We ran down our top 5 Switch 2 launch titles, including Switch 2 upgrades for both of the exceptional open-world Legend of Zelda games, Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom, which will feature faster load times, better graphics and Switch App integration. The bundled Mario Kart World is also a spectacular next step in the storied racing franchise, and a new Bravely Default RPG will eat up all your free time. The system itself promises "significantly improved CPU and GPU performance" according to Nintendo, along with USB-C ports on both sides so that you can charge the console while you play, as well as video output up to 4K and 120FPS, video chatting, and a GameShare feature that lets you play online with people who don't own the game you bought. We do still have a few questions, but overall the console looks great. If you aren't able to pick up a Switch 2 right now, there are still great deals to be found on existing Switch hardware and games. We gave an Editors' Choice award to the OLED refresh of the original Switch in our review, saying that the console was an all-around improvement thanks to the brighter, bigger and more colorful screen, increased onboard storage and improved kickstand. Everything you loved about the original Switch is here, from the intuitive and responsive controls to Nintendo's unbeatable first-party games. This is the best way to play original Switch titles until the Switch 2 comes out. Mario Kart World is one of the Switch 2's launch titles, so if you're a little rusty behind the wheel it might be smart to practice with what we called "the most comprehensive Mario Kart game to date" in our review. The pioneer kart racing game got an Editors' Choice award from us thanks to its massive selection of courses, intuitive and powerful controls and revamped Battle Mode. If you don't know the drill, these games are about speeding and drifting through colorful tracks, picking up weapons and ruining other drivers' days. Pick it up at a 16% discount right now. The Pokemon franchise is one of Nintendo's most reliable performers, and while it will be a bit before we see a new full-fledged adventure of monster collecting, the spin-off games are just as good. New Pokemon Snap takes you on a safari through the Lental region with your trusty camera, tasking you with photographing more than 200 of the creatures in their natural habitat, earning stars for good composition, focus and more and unlocking new areas to explore. We gave it an "Excellent" rating in our review, particularly enjoying the charming animations and unlockable customization options. Need to save even more? Nintendo Switch 2 draws hordes of fans to stores worldwide for midnight release

What to know about Nintendo's new Switch 2 console Eager customers in the U.S. and around the world lined up outside electronics stores hours in advance on Thursday to collect their pre-ordered Nintendo Switch 2 video game consoles. The much anticipated Switch 2, being released at midnight worldwide Thursday, is an upgrade to its eight-year-old predecessor with new social features meant to draw players into online gaming. Nintendo is counting on the Switch 2 to boost sagging sales. In the U.S., a chaotic pre-order process in April left some fans frustrated after the consoles quickly sold out. Still, some eager fans lined up early Thursday at retailers such as Target in hopes of purchasing a unit. "I'm just rolling the dice here," said Edgar Huo, who was in a line of about 25 outside of a Target in the Tribeca neighborhood of Manhattan, New York. Many of those waiting for the store to open had ordered online, but a few like Huo hoped for a chance at purchasing any extra inventory the store had. Outside the official draw, some retailers offered their own lotteries to pre-order the devices. Nintendo Switch 2 features The original Switch, released in 2017, is "one of the most popular game consoles of all time," Scott Stein, editor-at-large at CNET, told CBS News Boston in January. The new console comes with a larger and higher resolution screen than its predecessor, with improved processing power, offering smoother and more vivid graphics. Central to its updated system is a new "C" button on its controller, which will launch a "GameChat" feature that requires a subscription to Nintendo's Switch online service. It allows players to "communicate with friends and family while playing a game," and lets them share their game screen with others. A built-in microphone will also allow chatting with other gamers. Nintendo has said it expects to sell 15 million Switch 2 consoles for the fiscal year through March 2026. A mock-up of the Nintendo Co. Kiyoshi Ota/Bloomberg via Getty Images The company has promised to roll out attractive software for the Switch 2 later this year, including "The Legend of Zelda" games, a Pokemon title and a Kirby game, as well as offerings from outside software companies. Nintendo is capitalizing on the launch with the opening of a store in San Francisco and the Super Nintendo World amusement facility in Orlando, Florida, both set for this month. The Switch 2's rollout arrives at an uncertain time for much of the gaming industry due to new tariffs implemented by U.S. President Donald Trump. In the U.S., the Switch 2's baseline launch price is $449.99 — significantly higher than the original Switch's $299 price tag. A "Mario Kart World" game for the new console is priced at $80, marking the first time a Nintendo game has broached $80. Ariana Drehsler/Bloomberg via Getty Images A "Mario Kart World" game for the new console is priced at $80, marking the first time a Nintendo game has broached $80, Washington Post video game reporter Gene Park told CBS News in April. "It's a little eyebrow-raising. It's really the first Nintendo game to broach $80, and there's a lot of talk about video games becoming $100 right now," Park said. U.S. preorders for the Switch 2 were delayed for several weeks so the company could assess the potential impact of tariffs.
