Strictly star Nick Knowles, 62, marries Katie Dadzie, 34, in lavish ceremony

Congratulations are in order for Nick Knowles, who has tied the knot with his girlfriend, Katie Dadzie. The DIY SOS presenter, 62, wed his 34-year-old partner this weekend in a romantic ceremony in Essex. Nick, who also took part in Strictly Come Dancing last series, got hitched at Braxted Park Estate, which is somewhat of a celebrity wedding hotspot, given that it's also where Rylan Clark married Dan Neal in 2015. Their lavish celebrations are rumoured to have cost six figures, with photos from their special day showing a large number of guests. Snaps capture Nick and Katie's loved ones outside the venue, gathering for photos. Wake up to find news on your TV shows in your inbox every morning with Metro's TV Newsletter. Sign up to our newsletter and then select your show in the link we'll send you so we can get TV news tailored to you. Katie, who co-owns lingerie brand Boa Boa with her now-husband, opted to defy tradition with her dress. Straying from convention, she looked stunning in a strapless white gown adorned with blue flowers. She wore her brunette locks in a chic updo, accessorising simply with a silver necklace and, of course, her latest addition to the jewellery collection, a dazzling ring. Meanwhile, Nick also pushed against the typical groom attire, looking dapper in a blush pink tuxedo with black lapels, completing the look with a bowtie. A source previously shared that 'no expense had been spared' for Nick and Katie's nuptials. 'Nick and Katie's big day is taking place at Braxted Park, a stunning location in Essex,' they spilled to The Sun ahead of the lovebirds saying 'I do.' 'He's invited all of his famous pals, including his Strictly co-stars, so it's going to be a proper showbiz bash. 'Katie's dress is beautiful and is going to blow people away. Nick and Katie's guests will be treated to delicious food and amazing entertainment – really no expense has been spared.' It's currently unknown which of Nick's Strictly pals attended his wedding, but he featured on the BBC dance series alongside JB Gill, Tasha Ghouri, Wynne Evans, Wynne Evans, Jamie Borthwick, Sam Quek, and eventual winner Chris McCausland. Alas, Nick's own Strictly journey came to a sour end when he suffered a series of brutal injuries in training. He was forced to sit out of Movie Week with his pro partner, Luba Mushtuk, returning with a Paddington-themed routine the following Saturday, which ended up being his final hurrah. At the start of 2025, Nick revealed it was going to take eight months for him to recover fully after undergoing two surgeries: one to reattach his bicep and one to reconstruct his knee. By his side through the rehabilitation process, though, has been Katie. Following his Strictly stint, then-fiancée Katie warned that Nick was 'a shell of a man' due to being 'exhausted'. She started dating him in 2021, having met when their children became friends at a play centre. Nick has three sons and one daughter, whom he shares with two ex-wives, making Katie his third marriage. He has long been vocal about the backlash to his relationship with Katie, who is 28 years his junior. The TV personality previously told The Times that Katie 'occasionally wondered if it's all worth it' due to 'horrible' racist abuse she receives online. Nick said: 'It's really unpleasant and unfair,' with Katie also accused of being a 'golddigger' in her Instagram comments. 'Katie's a mum of two, she's super intelligent and capable, within just eight months her lingerie brand was stocked by Next. 'But you just get people being properly vile. So you understand when she goes, 'I don't know if I want to be around this'.' Nick was then asked if he tried to change her mind in those moments, to which he replied: 'No. I understand. But in the end we love each other very much.' Speaking in 2023 about the moment he popped the question, Nick revealed he actually used a Haribo ring. Nick shared on The One Show that Katie was travelling to see him in New Orleans and he realised it was 'the ideal time' to propose, but he 'didn't have a ring.' To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video Therefore, he had to improvise with the gummy sweet, as it was 'all [he] had' on him. More Trending Ever the fixer, however, Nick still managed to make the moment memorable, taking a pair of scissors to the 'ring' to give it a jewel on top. He joked it was 'a dangerous move, as she does like Haribo', and the engagement ring could easily have been eaten instead. View More » Fortunately, Katie happily accepted his odd proposal and even kept the Haribo ring, storing it in a plastic bag at home before potentially getting it encased in perspex as a souvenir. The police corner Vanessa in huge Emmerdale murder story

To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video Vanessa Woodfield (Michelle Hardwick) finds herself implicated in Nate Robinson's (Jurell Carter) murder when Tracy Shankley (Amy Walsh) drops her in it in Emmerdale. Things are getting nasty in the Dales after the discovery of Nate's body and accusations are levelled at two likely suspects. John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) – the actual perpetrator – is questioned by police, but not over his own possible guilt, Cain is the one in the frame. After arguing with Nate before he died, he is prime suspect. John does some quick thinking and talking to get Cain Dingle's (Jeff Hordley) name off the suspect list, and after Cain's own grilling by the police, he airs his suspicions that Tracy's dodgy behaviour makes her look guilty. So those are the two suspects, Cain and Tracy. John then does the unthinkable to secure Cain's freedom – he plants Nate's phone in the playhouse at Tracy's. When the police show up with a warrant, Tracy thinks she's done for when they find the mobile tucked away. Worse still, the police discover that the removal man who came to collect Nate's things doesn't exist. Things are looking bad for the single mum. More Trending The police reveal to her that they believe Nate died the day he was meant to leave, and thinking on her toes, Tracy blurts out an alibi – she was with Vanessa all day. JoJo Siwa offers glimpse inside romantic cottage staycation with Chris Hughes

JoJo Siwa's relationship with Chris Hughes is only going from strength to strength, with the lovebirds enjoying a staycation in the Cotswolds this week. The Dance Moms alum, 22, met Love Island star Chris, 32, in the Celebrity Big Brother house, both making it to the final before Jack P. Shepherd was crowned winner. Their closeness was one of the biggest talking points of the series, as they were frequently seen snuggling in bed and sharing intimate conversations. While both parties maintained their bond was merely 'platonic' for a while, something shifted post-CBB, with JoJo ending things with partner Kath Ebbs, 27, at the wrap party and spending more time with Chris, who even flew to Mexico for her. And now that they have finally explicitly confirmed that they are, indeed, in a romantic relationship, it appears JoJo and Chris are keen to show it off. This week, the pair switched off from their hectic schedules and retreated to the countryside. Wake up to find news on your TV shows in your inbox every morning with Metro's TV Newsletter. Sign up to our newsletter and then select your show in the link we'll send you so we can get TV news tailored to you. Taking to Instagram with a round-up of their getaway, JoJo posted a series of sweet pics to her 11.3million followers. 'Nothing beats wholesome & pure days like these', her caption began. She proceeded to detail each photo, with the first image showing Chris lifting her up and throwing her over his shoulder. 'Christopher being Christopher', she jokingly described it. Further pics included them shopping for sweets for her to take home to relatives across the pond and JoJo making tea inside their cottage. They also strolled hand-in-hand to greet the horses at the stables before riding, and tucked into a full English breakfast spread. JoJo's last photo was of her hand holding Chris's tightly. Describing the close-up romantic shot, she wrote: 'The one thing that can make everything better 🤍' The post quickly garnered thousands of likes, with fans flocking to the comments as they adjust to the 180 her life has taken since entering the doors of the CBB abode. 'Seeing Jojo in a UK kitchen is so strange and wholesome, I love it!!!! ❤️', commented @hollyr1991. 'I'm so happy that you are happy, that you are going on adventures of your choosing and thriving. You have given us so much joy, the least we can do is root for you with our whole hearts', wrote @sithprincessanakin. Also showing their approval, @krista93x said: 'You can tell how safe you feel in the UK around Christopher. We love this for you Joelle ❤️' 'Come to U.K. permanently pls, we need more jojo ❤️', begged @abbyyrose07. To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video TV star Chris took to his own social media with snapshots from the trip, one being himself and JoJo smiling alongside a horse. 'Missed the countryside, happy faces all round', he wrote. Their lovey-dovey posts come after JoJo announced that not only were they officially dating, but she's also calling Chris her boyfriend. During an interview with Capital FM this week, the Karma hitmaker said: 'I'm sure it's no secret to people, I am in a lovely relationship with a sweet boy named Christopher Hughes.' She also previously opened up to The Guardian about Chris, confessing: 'It's not platonic anymore, and it's been a beautiful development, a beautiful connection, and I'm absolutely head over heels for him and he's the same way.' JoJo was also keen to silence critics of their romance, particularly those accusing them of using it as a PR stunt. 'Clearly, you've never been around us,' she hit back. 'I won't ever speak for him, but for me personally, the happiness in my life just radiates off of me right now. 'Literally yesterday, I was massaging my cheeks; I've never [before] been in pain from smiling so much.' As for Chris, he has repeatedly played coy when quizzed on his blossoming romance with JoJo, but recently declared that his relationship status is 'happy'. He's also getting on with JoJo's parents like a house on fire, as she has shared Chris is 'best friends' with her dad in particular. Asked by fans during a Q&A at a dance class in London earlier this week when the switched flipped from friendship to something more, JoJo admitted that not knowing is one of her 'biggest frustrations' in life right now. To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video 'I genuinely don't know, and I've spoken to him about it, I've spoken to my mom about it. I don't know the moment that it [clicks fingers].' More Trending She added: 'It was never like a light switch happened; it was just… You know what I mean? And so I genuinely don't know! It's serendipity!' Regardless, she maintains that she is 'very, very happy where [they] are currently'. 'I mean I literally smile every single second of every single day now.' Got a story?
