Browns superfan WWE star shares words of wisdom for Shedeur Sanders
WWE star The Miz may be one of the biggest Cleveland Browns fans in sports.
The Ohio native has been seen supporting the Browns at games in Cleveland and on NFL shows talking about the team he loves.
Cleveland was once again the talk of the NFL world in April when the team traded the No. 2 overall pick in the draft to the Jacksonville Jaguars, who eventually selected Travis Hunter. The Browns received the No. 5 pick and drafted Mason Graham.
It took until the later rounds, but the Browns added to their quarterback room with the selections of Shedeur Sanders and Dillon Gabriel. Cleveland took Sanders after Gabriel as the former Colorado quarterback slid, sparking the attention of the sports world, including President Donald Trump.
The Miz, whose real name is Mike Mizanin, told Fox News Digital in recent interview that Sanders is in a great spot to learn the ropes as a professional quarterback with Joe Flacco on the roster.
"I'm not really a professional football player, and I'm not a quarterback, and I'm not in a quarterback room with Joe Flacco," he prefaced. "But if you are in a quarterback room with Joe Flacco who has been to the Super Bowl, won the Super Bowl, has done incredible things in the NFL, I would just put my head down and learn and listen, because he has a great coach and Kevin Stefanski and I think just be the player that he was in Colorado.
"I wouldn't want him to change. Like, I always feel like … the best person is a person that can't help being themselves, right? That's the best, in my opinion, and I think he can't help being himself, and think he's a born leader. And I think, in the end … I know it's gonna be a little circus here and there, but if he can play to the caliber that I feel like he could be, he could be a franchise quarterback."
Sanders will compete with Gabriel and Kenny Pickett for the few spots on the roster. Flacco may have the advantage going in as he was on the team in 2023 and took over for an injured Deshaun Watson to keep the Browns on a playoff pace.
Watson suffered a torn Achilles in 2024 and re-ruptured the Achilles as he recovered. It's unclear whether he'll be healthy and ready to return to the field anytime soon.
For now, the Browns will have a few things to weigh when it comes to their quarterbacks in 2025.

And so, a lot of women connect to it. A lot of my friends that come to see it have very similar reactions, and it brings up important conversations. It makes people feel really seen. Obviously, we didn't plan the timing of it at all, but for this story to be told right now, under the same administration that Kimberly wrote [the play] under years ago… to be back in that spot is just really dark. It feels like such a gift that we get to do this right now. What do you hope people take away from seeing the show? I like it when people leave with rage, because I definitely feel a lot of that throughout the show. At the end, though, I hope that through Shelby and Raelynn [played by Amalia Yoo]—through their friendship—there's an appreciation for the connections that you have in your life, and that sense of hope that, with the people around you that you can lean on, you can change the world for a second. That's what these girls do. They change the world around them for the length of a song.

Jake Munroe hits 2 out, drives in 5 and Louisville rips Miami 8-1 in super regional opener
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — Jake Munroe hit two home runs and drove in five runs, leading Louisville to an 8-1 victory over Miami on Friday in the opening game of the Louisville Super Regional. Louisville took a 2-0 lead on two swings in the second inning — a first-pitch leadoff home run by Garret Pike followed by a solo home run by Munroe on a 2-0 count. Louisville starter Patrick Forbes (4-2) breezed through 5 1/3 innings, with the exception of the third inning when he faced a bases-loaded jam with one out. He gave up a sacrifice fly by Renzo Gonzalez, then got the third out on a strikeout. Louisville loaded the bases with one out in the third and scored two runs on a throwing error by the pitcher. The next batter, Munroe, followed with a three-run home run to left for a 7-1 lead. He picked up his fifth RBI with a sacrifice fly in the fourth. Max Galvin had three hits for Miami. AJ Ciscar (6-2) allowed seven runs, six earned, in 2 1/3 innings. First pitch was delayed by a weather for about half an hour. There was another weather delay with two out in the bottom of the eighth. When play resumed, Zion Rose flied out to end the eighth then Miami went down 1-2-3 on 11 pitches in the ninth. This is the seventh super regional hosted by Louisville. The Cardinals have appeared in 10 super regionals overall. Miami is playing in the super regional round for the 13th time and the first since 2016. History behind Oakmont Country Club ahead of U.S. Open
The story of golf could not be told without the Oakmont Country Club. For a record-setting 10th time, the golf course is hosting the U.S. Open. It's challenged the best in the world for more than 100 years and will host this year's U.S. Open from June 12-15. "The best of the best tend to win here, and sometimes the best of the best have their hearts broken here," Oakmont Country Club historian David Moore said. Since 1903, the Oakmont Country Club has rewarded the perfect shot and punished mistakes. Arguably, one of the toughest spots is the iconic church pews. According to Moore, they've changed names and designs. They got their name during the 1960s from a newspaper writer. "When he said if you hit it into these church pew-like bunkers, only divine intervention can help you save par, and the name has stuck ever since," Moore said at the Oakmont Country Club. As for the name of the club, it can be a bit misleading. More than 90% of it is in Plum Borough. "Oakmont was named after the town in which the train station was in, and that's why it's not Plum Country Club," Moore said. However, its place in golf history can't be questioned. It has hosted the U.S. Open more than any other course, with its first one in 1927. The club has hosted one every decade, except the 1940s, since then. "Between Johnny Miller's 63, Jack [Nicklaus] and [Arnold Palmer] in '62 and Ben Hogan's fourth and final victory in 1953," Moore said. From winning birdies to missed putts and clutch drives, hole 18 may have created the most emotional history. "Eighteen has just been instrumental in crowning or breaking hearts over the last 120 years here," Moore said. Next week, a new chapter will be written.
