Call of Duty 2026 has been announced and it's back-to-back Black Ops

Daily Mirror5 hours ago

For the first time in the history of the Call of Duty series, we'll be getting two consecutive entries in a sub-series, as Black Ops 7 has been announced for release in 2026
In a groundbreaking move for the Call of Duty franchise, Activision has revealed that for the first time, we'll see back-to-back annual releases of Black Ops.
Activision has unveiled its plans for Call of Duty 2026, and to everyone's astonishment, it's Black Ops 7. The publisher usually rotates its studios between different series – with Black Ops and Modern Warfare being the focus for the past few years alongside Warzone battle royale – and typically releases them every other year.

Despite last year's release being Black Ops 6, which would normally mean a hiatus until 2027, Activision has decided to buck the trend.

The announcement of Black Ops 7 was made at SGF 2025 during the Xbox Games Showcase, and this time around, the game is set to catapult players into the future, specifically to the year 2035, which is 40 years on from the events of Black Ops 6. It's been quite some time since gamers have had the chance to engage with futuristic warfare technology; the last occasions were in Black Ops 3 and Black Ops 4, set in 2065 and the 2040s respectively.
In a press statement detailing the backdrop of Black Ops 7, Activision stated, "The year is 2035 and the world is on the brink of chaos, ravaged by violent conflict and psychological warfare following the events of Black Ops 2 and Black Ops 6. Wielding cutting-edge technology, David Mason and his team must fight back against a manipulative enemy who weaponizes fear above all else."
Regarding the successive Black Ops releases, Call of Duty general manager Matt Cox said, "The Black Ops universe is amazing. The creativity and imagination that goes into the storytelling, the rich character depth, and the incredible moment-to-moment gameplay across all modes is really exceptional. As a team, our vision from the start was to create a back-to-back series experience for our players that embraced the uniqueness of the Black Ops sub-franchise."
Tyler Bahl, head of Activision publishing marketing, also chimed in adding, "Delivering consecutive Black Ops games also allows our teams the tremendous opportunity to tap not only into our own creativity but also embrace the shift from a '90s setting to the new 2035 future setting within our marketing.
"Today is only the beginning with this first teaser. The full reveal of Black Ops 7 is coming later this summer, so the community should be on the lookout for teases, clues and the surprises that the Black Ops series is known for. It's an exciting time as we prepare for a new Call of Duty reveal, and the next great experience to come."
Black Ops 7 is slated for release on both current and previous generation consoles later this year and will debut as a day one Xbox Game Pass title.

Kylie Jenner squeezes her surgically-enhanced cleavage into silver dress after shock boob job admission

She shocked the world by publicly revealing details behind her boob job to a TikToker last week. And Kylie Jenner worked a particularly tight outfit as she attended a pal's birthday bash on Saturday. The star, 27, stunned in a skin-tight dress that put her surgically-enhanced cleavage on display as she partied at The Nice Guy in Los Angeles. Kylie headed to the celeb hotspot with her raven hair cascading down in loose ringlets and her face perfectly coated in makeup. She worked a light pink manicure and transparent high heels. It comes after Kylie dished on all the details behind the breast augmentation she underwent at age 19, prompting a flood of interest in the doctor who performed the surgery. Kylie emerged with her raven hair cascading down in loose ringlets and her face perfectly coated in makeup. She worked a light pink manicure and transparent high heels. In 2023, the make-up mogul finally admitted that she had a secret boob job when she was just 19, despite being economical with the truth for years over breast enhancement. And two years after opening up about her surgery, Kylie happily revealed the details about the produced to a fan who wished to emulate the star's perky chest. TikTok user Rachel Leary uploaded a video of herself on Monday urging Kylie to share exactly what she 'asked for' when getting her boobs done, hailing her enhancement as 'the most perfect, natural boob job ever!' She added Kylie's chest is 'perfection', captioning her post: 'Help a girl out @Kylie Jenner, I just want to know how to get them to sit like that, respectfully.' And while Rachel admitted that she never expected Kylie to see her TikTok yet alone respond, she was left stunned when The Kardashians replied to her video. Spilling the beans on her procedure, including the size, profile and surgeon, Kylie wrote: '445 cc, moderate profile, half under the muscle!!!!! silicone!!! garth fisher!!! hope this helps lol.' An ecstatic Rachel replied: 'KYLIEEEEE!!! you are the best THANK YOU!!!!', while oter fans were quick to praise her for helping out. Kylie's plastic surgeon Dr. Garth Fisher is famed for being the man behind many of the Kardashian and Jenner family procedures. He's largely known for performing Kris Jenner's pinnacle facelift on an episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians. The board-certified surgeon also did Kourtney Kardashian's breast augmentation and removed a tumor from Khloe's face. He even gave a pre-transition Caitlyn Jenner a revision facelift, which was also featured on an episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians. 'Garth Fisher is genius,' Jenner gushed after the procedure. 'Nobody really know I'd had anything done!' Dr. Fisher also helped actress and reality star Lisa Rinna achieve a more natural pout after she'd had permanent silicone lip fillers in the late '80s.

Katie Price declares 'Jordan is back' as alter-ego helps up bag huge AI deal

Former glamour model has signed a deal with American firm OhChat to revive her old alter-ego Jordan by creating an AI version of her - and it will be out tomorrow Katie Price is officially bringing back her old alter-ego Jordan while becoming the first British celebrity to trademark an artificial intelligence version of herself. The 47-year-old reality TV star has signed a deal with American firm OhChat, which describes itself as "the leading platform to live out your uncensored dreams through AI-powered text, voice and images." As part of the agreement, the mum-of-five had to record 30 phrases to say so that the company could develop an AI version of her. Promotional videos shared on social media including YouTube and Instagram show Jordan - her former glamour modelling persona - saying in a voice similar to Katie's: "It's Jordan here. No more looking at those cheeky mags." ‌ After confirming that the launch date is tomorrow, June 9, she promises fans: "You can have me all for yourself." The launch comes months after rumours began spreading that Katie was hoping to revive Jordan in a bid to emulate the early days of her career when she was best known for topless modelling. ‌ Katie has now described the Jordan days as the best of her life and said that the AI deal is "a genius move" and can make her "feel like her again." She told The Sun: "Jordan's back and now I'm in competition with Jordan. I love it and they've really captured my voice and personality - you see me moving and everything. It's scarily weird but fascinating." Katie added: "I couldn't be more excited to bring back the iconic Jordan, someone who I hold near and dear to my heart, and who my fans have been asking to see again. From my digital twin styling to its tone of voice, I wanted to be involved every step of the way to create the most authentic experience possible for my fans. Jordan is back, and my fans will absolutely love this." Meanwhile, a source told the newspaper that using AI allows Katie to "go back in time and bring back Jordan." The insider explained that she owns copyright but the deal allows her image to be used for anything from TV shows to OnlyFans - but she doesn't need to do it by herself, as it's all done for her. ‌ According to the source, Kate is also planning to do a photoshoot standing next to Jordan - and even do a TV special where she interviews her alter ego. Describing the new business venture, the insider said it is "all really exciting, if a bit surreal." We reported on rumours that Katie was looking to revive Jordan in a bid to regain her fortune back in September 2024. The former model was a prominent figure in the UK's glamour scene in the 1990s, amassing an estimated £45million fortune. However, her career and finances have declined in recent years, with Katie being declared bankrupt twice. ‌ At the time, sources said Katie believed that returning to her old-day job roots will bring in the money. A source told The Sun last year: "Katie is desperate to go back to the glory days and is convinced a return to her glamour modelling roots will make it happen." However, the insider added: "But she doesn't seem to understand that times have changed and there isn't an audience for Jordan these days." In the 1990s and early 2000s, Katie appeared on the covers of various magazines, including Loaded, Maxim, FHM, and American Playboy. She "retired" the Jordan persona after meeting her first husband, Peter Andre, in the I'm a Celebrity jungle in 2004. Katie shifted her focus to launching novels, beauty products, fragrances and electricals. After three divorces, Katie has found it challenging to sustain a career that once saw everything she touched turn into gold. In 2019, Katie was first declared bankrupt, owing creditors £3.2million, and then again last year due to an unpaid tax bill of £760,000. Her Mucky Mansion near Horsham, West Sussex, was repossessed after she failed to meet mortgage repayments, and she has been instructed to pay 40 per cent of her earnings to creditors.

Call Of Duty Black Ops 7 reveals story details but not Nintendo Switch 2 version

The Xbox Games Showcase has unveiled this year's new Call Of Duty game and as rumoured it's a direct sequel to 2012's Black Ops 2. Last year the big showcase reveal for Xbox, that got half an hour all to itself at the end of the main livestream, was Call Of Duty: Black Ops 6. This year It's The Outer Worlds 2 and Grounded 2 that was given the slot, but that didn't mean that this year's Call Of Duty wasn't announced anyway. That implies that from now on each year's new game will probably always get unveiled at the Xbox Games Showcase, although the reveal for Black Ops 7 was mostly just a pre-rendered trailer and for most of the time it wasn't obvious it was Call Of Duty at all. The fact that this year's game is Black Ops 7 was leaked some time ago (as was next year's game) with insiders suggesting that it's a direct sequel to 2012's Black Ops 2. Activision has now confirmed that, with the trailer showing that you're playing as David Mason from that game, with villain Raul Menendez also making a return. Black Ops 2 was set in both the 1980s and 2025 (which was the near future at the time) but Black Ops 7 takes place in 2035, which is 40 years after the events of last year's game. It's not entirely clear what's going on with the plot but apparently you, as David Mason, are fighting 'a manipulative enemy who weaponises fear above all else.' Black Ops 2's plot revolved around deadly cyberattacks, which has only become more relevant as time has gone on. There's very little concrete information on the gameplay, with a full reveal promised for later this summer. However, it's confirmed that the story mode will feature campaign co-op and that there'll be a lot of 'near future weaponry' and brand new maps in 'a signature multiplayer experience'. A new round-based version of Zombies will also be included, continuing the Dark Aether storyline – which means little hope of a revamp for the mode this year. More Trending There's no real explanation for why we're getting two Black Ops games in a row, other than it's being developed by Treyarch and Raven Software, who also made Black Ops 6. Usually, Activision's developers take it in turns, so the real rarity here is the same studio releasing any game back-to-back. What's also interesting is that there's no sign of a Nintendo Switch 2 version. Not that fans have ever been desperate for one, but Microsoft made a big fuss about bringing Call Of Duty back to Nintendo formats, when making their argument as to why thy should be allowed to buy Activision Blizzard. Thus far though, they haven't announced anything for the new format, with Black Ops 7 only confirmed for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC. There's no release date but new Call Of Duty games are usually released around late October. Since Activision do now belong to Microsoft, the game will be available day one on Game Pass.
