Now priced at only £81.71, the Samsung Tablet is now hundreds of pounds cheaper than Apple's most recent iPad - £313 on Amazon at the time of writing. So for shoppers who aren't fussed about staying loyal to certain brands, in terms of price Samsung is currently the better choice.
The Galaxy Tab A9 features a 8.7-inch screen and has 64GB of storage. Along with both front and rear facing cameras, the tablet should provide a full day of use as it boasts a 5,100mAh battery, reports the Express. The device is also 8mm thick, so it shouldn't easily disappear when placed in a bag.
However, as this is a budget tablet, users won't be receiving all of the top tier specs. Despite not having a high refresh rate, the 60Hz LCD display is more than suitable for people who are mainly using the device to watch films, browse the web, catch up on emails or read an e-book.
As an Android device, the Galaxy Tab A9 also gives users access to the Google Play store. Whether you want to read, listen to music, play a game or video call your friends and family, this small tablet has access to all your must-have apps at a decent price.

Alternatively, a more budget-friendly device is the Lenovo M9 9-inch 64GB Wi-Fi Tablet. Selling on Argos for £79.99, this tablet currently has a 4.7 star rating from shoppers and offers up to 13 hours of video playback from a single charge.
Many Amazon shoppers are snapping up this limited time deal on the Galaxy Tab A9, with over 500 people purchasing the device in the last 30 days. Boasting a 4.5 star rating, shoppers have praised the device for being "easy to use" and having a "good battery life".
One happy shopper wrote: "Great product, sturdy and lightweight. Loads quickly and easy to use and the battery is good too. Screen quality is great. Bought for my mum and she loves it."
Another customer added: "This is brilliant. Turned up very well packaged with no damage at all. I didn't want to buy a laptop as they are too big but this is perfect for what I need."
However, another shopper wasn't as impressed, writing: "It's OK, bit of a pain size-wise as is (obviously) between the size of a smartphone & size of a lappie (laptop). Just odd to try & hold with the cover on. OK , works fine & pretty fast."
A further reviewer also groaned: "The display is good but the tablet needs recharging nearly every day. With little use the tablet battery reduces to 50 percent. I read reviews which said similar so I've only got myself to blame but Samsung should have done so much better."
Despite this, a five-star reviewer was pleased they made the switch to the A9 tablet. They wrote: "I was a bit sceptical as there are so many tablets on the market, I just wanted a simple one so I could browse the internet rather than using my mobile (which drains the battery quickly).
"I found this so easy to set up and use (I am in my mid 50s so not really into tech), there are no apps which stop you using other apps (I did have an Amazon tablet once and I found I couldn't download certain things or it all had to be through Amazon so I stopped using it). But this one is a lovely device so I would definitely recommend."
Another high praising customer said: "Samsung Galaxy Tab A9, works great. I got this as a replacement to my Galaxy Tab A7, which got a damaged screen. It as good battery life and nice sharp screen image, it's light weight. great storage, (I put in a 512GB micro SD card)."
