Now even Flip phones will get 200MP cameras
This would make it the first Flip phone with a 200MP camera.
HONOR has also confirmed that it will have the biggest battery in a Flip phone.
The Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition and Galaxy Z Fold 7 were the first foldable phones to offer a 200MP main camera. However, it looks like the first Flip foldable with a 200MP camera could launch next week.
HONOR has confirmed that it will launch the Magic V Flip 2 foldable phone on August 21. However, long-time leaker Digital Chat Station has revealed a slew of specs on Weibo.
Perhaps the most notable detail is that the Magic V Flip 2 will pack a 200MP main camera. This would mark the first time a Flip phone has shipped with such a high-resolution camera. The phone will also apparently pack a 50MP ultrawide lens and a 50MP selfie camera.
I'm guessing that HONOR didn't have much space to spare for a triple rear camera system, but a 200MP main camera is the next best thing. This means you can expect good-quality cropped images at 2x to 4x, but anything more will be a stretch.

Otherwise, Digital Chat Station claims the phone will also have a 6.82-inch OLED screen (2,868 x 1,232, ultra-thin glass), a four-inch cover display (1,200 x 1,092), and a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. That's clearly not the latest and greatest Snapdragon silicon, but you're still getting a very powerful processor.
HONOR has also confirmed the leaker's previous claim that the phone will have a 5,500mAh battery. That means it will have the biggest battery in any Flip foldable to date. Once you've run out of juice, you can take advantage of 80W wired or 50W wireless charging.
We hope the new flip phone is eventually available in global markets. However, the original Magic V Flip didn't get an international release, so we're not holding our breath for the sequel.

The dual-screen Android gaming handheld you've been waiting for has a temptingly affordable price
TL;DR AYANEO is introducing the Pocket DS, a dual-screen Android-powered gaming handheld. Starting at just about $400, this represents a much more affordable solution to AYANEO's Windows-based dual-screen hardware. AYANEO is accepting crowdfunding orders now, with plans to ship in October. Pair your Android phone with a nice Bluetooth controller — or better yet, a nice clamp-on set of controller grips like the Razer Kishi V3 series — and you have got one serious piece of mobile gaming kit on your hands. But for as powerful as today's phones are, when we're trying to recreate a very specific gaming experience, sometimes we require some more custom-tailored hardware — say, for instance, wanting to emulate one of Nintendo's dual-screen DS systems. Today we've got some new details on what's looking like one of the best attempts we've seen in a long time to bring gamers just that. When it comes to emulating dual-screen games on Android, we've already got options. You could just keep your phone in portrait and stack the screens, one above the other. Or if you've got a book-style foldable, you're already close to rocking the correct form factor. But neither of those is really going to nail the OG experience, with discrete screens and robust hardware input. That's exactly why we've been so excited to hear about AYANEO and its new Pocket DS. Don't want to miss the best from Android Authority? Set us as a preferred source in Google Search to support us and make sure you never miss our latest exclusive reports, expert analysis, and much more. The company's no stranger to this hardware style, recently going this same dual-screen route with the Flip 1S. But while that was an expensive, Windows-based option, selling for nearly $800 and up, we were hoping to see a more affordable alterative with the Pocket DS's Android-based solution. Today AYANEO launches its crowdfunding effort for the Pocket DS on Indiegogo, and early-bird supporters can get an order in for as low as $400. The Pocket DS is built around the Snapdragon G3x Gen 2 gaming platform — the company has used that chip for its portables before, and it's worked really well. Your main screen is a seven-inch 1080P OLED with a 165Hz refresh rate, and down below sits a five-inch 1024 x 768 LCD in a retro-friendly 4:3 ratio. Pair that with dual thumbsticks, a D-pad, and a full assortment of face buttons and shoulder triggers, and you're well on your way to nailing what gamers expect from a dual-screen console. In order to tap into all that hardware, the manufacturer has its AYASpace and AYAHome software packages, letting you remap buttons and manage game front-ends. There's an 8,000mAh battery to keep your gaming going for hours, and a 'PC-level' fan to make sure the silicon keeps cool even during those extended sessions. AYANEO is producing the handheld in Shadow Black, Starry Yellow, and Retro Gray colorways, in configurations ranging from 8GB RAM and 128GB storage up to 16GB memory and 1TB flash. Like we mentioned, pricing starts at around $400 for this crowd-funding phase, and goes up to about $640 for the highest-end setup — still more affordable than the Flip 1S. Shipments should start going out sometime in October, and these early-bird pricing slots are filling up fast, so don't wait too long if you want to be among that first wave. Follow

Samsung's budget Galaxy Buds 3 FE give you AirPods-like design and a battery bonus
Samsung has expanded its Galaxy Buds lineup with the 'Fan Edition' Galaxy Buds 3 FE, finally delivering a more affordable earbud alongside the existing Galaxy Buds 3 and Buds 3 Pro models it released in July 2024. Like its family members, the Galaxy Buds 3 FE commit to the move away from the circular earbud shape of Samsung earbuds of old to the familiar, AirPods-like 'stem' one, which Samsung calls its 'Blade' design. This can be pinched to make playback selections or swiped to adjust the volume. Recommended Videos Alternatively, you can go hands-free courtesy of Google Gemini integration – saying phrases like 'Hey Google' when you're wearing the earbuds can initiate voice playback controls, and when paired with a Galaxy phone there's the option of sending messages and checking emails via voice activation. Using the Galaxy AI Interpreter app, real-time translation can also be fed to the earbuds to facilitate conversations with someone speaking in another language. Neat. The Blade design isn't the only notable aspect of the new Samsung buds' physical design, either; the Buds3 FE have been blessed with an IP54 waterproof rating, making them suitable for wearing during sweaty workouts or out in rainy weather. Promising performance upgrades Like their 2023-released Galaxy Buds FE predecessor, the new Samsung budget earbuds have active noise cancellation onboard, only this time it has been improved to reduce ambient noise and therefore increase its effectiveness to isolate you and your music or voice calls. They also sport a larger driver than the previous-gen buds for supposedly 'rich, powerful sound with deep bass and clear treble', which bodes well for the new FEs considering we called the originals 'clear, full-frequency sound signature, with a generous soundstage'. Perhaps unsurprisingly considering their modest price point, the Galaxy Buds 3 FE settle for Samsung's SSC Bluetooth codec alongside the 'vanilla' AAC and SBC. While the higher-quality aptX and LDAC codec can be found in similarly affordable wireless earbuds such as our favorites, the Anker Soundcore Liberty 4 NC, which supports the latter codec, their absence is hardly a deal-breaker at this price. One thing that does thoroughly impress at this price level is the Galaxy Buds 3 FE's battery life – you get 8.5 hours in the buds (or 6 hours with ANC on) and an extra 24 hours of juice in the charging case (or 30 hours with ANC on). Plenty of much pricier earbuds don't manage those numbers (as you can see in our best wireless earbuds guide) – including Samsung's flagship Buds 3 Pro, which have a maximum on-bud battery life of seven hours. Available in black or gray, the Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 FE will become available in the US on September 4, priced at $150, with availability in other territories to follow.

Samsung's New Galaxy Buds 3 FE Cost $100 Less Than the Flagship Galaxy Buds 3 Pro
Samsung's $250 flagship Galaxy Buds 3 Pro are among the top noise-canceling earbuds. Now Samsung has launched the more affordable "fan edition"Galaxy Buds 3 FE that look nearly identical to the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro but are missing those buds' LED lighting element, have a single-driver design instead of a dual-driver design and leave off a few other features. They're available on Sept. 4 in black or gray. Read more: Best wireless earbuds of 2025 Like the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro, the Galaxy Buds 3 FE have a noise-isolating design with silicone ear tips, and they feature noise-canceling as well as a transparency mode. Samsung is touting their AI features, which include "accessing Gemini for conversational AI assistance and Galaxy AI Interpreter app to use Real-Time Interpreter or Live Translate to translate phone calls." The Galaxy Buds 3 FE's "blade" design is a departure from the early Galaxy Buds FE ($70), which have a stemless design with wing tips that help lock the buds in your ears. Enlarge Image The buds in gray. Screenshot by David Carnoy/CNET Since I haven't tried the Galaxy Buds 3 FE yet I can't tell you how much their performance differs from the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro's, but I suspect there will be a slight drop off in sound quality due to the fact that the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro have a planar driver alongside a dynamic driver that helps improve clarity and treble performance. The Galaxy Buds 3 Pro are regularly on sale (you can get the Latin American version for $125 on Amazon) and Samsung says you can trade-in any wired or wireless headset and receive up to $30 off the Galaxy Buds 3 FE. So they, too should be regularly discounted and perhaps dip to around $100 during the holiday buying season. I'll let you know how they compare to the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro and other earbuds in their price range as soon as I get my hands on a review sample. For now, here are the Galaxy Buds3 FE's key specs: Samsung Galaxy Buds3 FE key specs
