For Tahir Raj Bhasin, Working In Special Ops Is A ‘Full Circle' Moment
Kay Kay Menon's Himmat Singh is facing a new threat in Special Ops 2 in the form of Tahir Raj Bhasin's antagonistic character Sudheer Awasthi, aka The Collector. He kept the R&AW officer on his toes in the entirety of the seven-episode-long espionage thriller. While viewers have appreciated Tahir's impressive performance, he thanked director Neeraj Pandey for making his character stand out.
Following the success of Special Ops 2, the 38-year-old actor took to his Instagram account to post a gratitude-filled note for the show's director. Alongside it, Tahir shared two pictures, in which he was seen on the set with Neeraj, likely discussing the scenes.
'A big thank you to the captain of our ship, Neeraj Pandey, the calm at the centre of the Special Ops2 storm and the visionary behind 'The Collector,'" he began his note. Sharing that he grew up watching stories directed by him, Tahir added, ' I grew up watching A Wednesday & Special 26, masterclasses in storytelling where realism met style. To now be directed by the same mind feels like life coming full circle. What a ride. #SpecialOps2 #NowStreaming #Jiohotstar."

About Special Ops 2
The story of Special Ops 2 obviously follows Himmat Singh and his team of secret agents. This time, they are not fighting terrorists, but artificial intelligence (AI). Tahir's character abducts India's renowned scientist, who has access to every important site and information related to the country. The Collector's motive behind the kidnapping was to take control over India.
Besides Kay Kay Menon and Tahir Raj Bhasin, the new season also features Prakash Raj, Karan Tacker, Vinay Pathak, Tota Roy Chowdhury, Saiyami Kher, Muzammil Ibrahim, Gautami Kapoor, Revathi Pillai, and Kamakshi Bhatt, in other pivotal roles. Special Ops 2, directed by Neeraj Pandey and Shivam Nair, premiered on JioHotstar on July 18.
In the last few years, Tahir Raj Bhasin has emerged as one of the most promising talents in the Indian entertainment industry. With his impressive performances in films like Rani Mukerji's Mardaani, Ranveer Singh's 83 and the late Sushant Singh Rajput's Chhichhore, he has proved his mettle. Moreover, the 38-year-old is also known for playing the protagonist in Netflix's romantic crime thriller Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein, co-starring Shweta Tripathi and Anchal Singh along with Saurabh Shukla, Surya Sharma, and Arunoday Singh.
As for his upcoming projects, he is part of an untitled Netflix mystery thriller, which will feature Parineeti Chopra, Soni Razdan, Jennifer Winget and others.

After ED Sheeran, Bengaluru Cops Make German Influencer Leave Church Street
New Delhi: A few months after Ed Sheeran was stopped from performing on Church Street without permission, German social media star Younes Zarou was briefly taken away by Cubbon Park police on Wednesday evening when a large crowd gathered around him during a visit to the popular stretch. Police said Mr Zarou, who boasts over 21 million (2.1 crore) followers on Instagram, had gone to Church Street without taking any permissions for a large gathering. Some time before heading there, however, he had put up an Instagram post saying, "Church Street, we are coming". The post and his presence drew a large crowd, prompting concerns over public safety in the busy area. Officers were informed of the gathering and rushed to the spot. Police explained to Zarou that such large gatherings require prior permission and cited the stampede during the RCB victory celebrations, in which 11 people were killed, as an example of the potential risks. He was taken away in a police vehicle and dropped off at another location after he assured officers that he would not return to Church Street. "A social media influencer with over 20 million followers announced that he was coming to Church Street, leading to a sudden crowd gathering in the narrow lane. Our response team received a call and attended to the situation. He was taken away from the spot to a safe distance, allowed to leave, and advised not to engage in social media stunts that could pose public safety concerns," said Akshay M Hakay, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central Division), Bengaluru. Church Street, which is in the heart of Bengaluru, is a bustling hotspot and attracts people of all hues. In February, the Cubbon Park Police had halted British musician Ed Sheeran's live street performance on the same street, saying the popular singer-songwriter had not taken permission for it.
