While one of the videos shows them arriving in Vrindavan by car, the photos feature the couple kneeling before Premanand Govind Sharan at his ashram. In the images, the Hindu guru, clad in yellow robes, is seen speaking to the power couple, dressed in simple attire, through a microphone as they listen intently. This is not the first time the couple has been spotted visiting the spiritual leader. They reportedly met him earlier in January 2023 and again in January 2025.

Taking to Instagram to announce his Test retirement on Monday, Virat wrote: 'It's been 14 years since I first wore the baggy blue in Test cricket. Honestly, I never imagined the journey this format would take me on. It's tested me, shaped me, and taught me lessons I'll carry for life. There's something deeply personal about playing in whites. The quiet grind, the long days, the small moments that no one sees but that stay with you forever.'
He continued, 'As I step away from this format, it's not easy — but it feels right. I've given it everything I had, and it's given me back so much more than I could've hoped for. I'm walking away with a heart full of gratitude — for the game, for the people I shared the field with, and for every single person who made me feel seen along the way. I'll always look back at my Test career with a smile.'

Sharing a picture of the two of them walking side by side on a ground, Anushka Sharma noted on social media later, 'They'll talk about the records and the milestones — but I'll remember the tears you never showed, the battles no one saw, and the unwavering love you gave this format of the game. I know how much all this took from you. After every Test series, you came back a little wiser, a little humbler — and watching you evolve through it all has been a privilege.'
'Somehow, I always imagined you'd retire international cricket in whites — But you've always followed your heart, and so I just want to say my love, you've earned every bit of this goodbye,' she added.

Pb teacher celebrates linguistic diversity through children's songs
Ludhiana: In a heartwarming initiative that blends education with cultural harmony, a schoolteacher from Punjab has found a unique way to nurture linguistic respect among children. Karamjit Singh Grewal, who teaches at Govt Primary School, Khedi Jhamedi, has composed nearly 10 children's songs in as many Indian languages, an effort aimed at fostering diversity and tolerance. Influenced by his background in scouting and having friends from different parts of the country, Grewal believes language can play a powerful role in building bonds across communities. "The idea struck me that children should learn simple songs in different languages so that they feel connected with people from diverse cultural backgrounds," he says. In an age when urban youth often lean toward learning languages like Spanish or French, Grewal feels there is equal value in embracing vast linguistic richness closer home. "When we hear someone from another state speaking Punjabi, it feels heartwarming. They experience the same joy when we try speaking their language," he says, stressing the emotional connection language creates. So far, Grewal has successfully sung songs for children in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Gujarati, Dogri, Bengali, Bodo, Assamese, Hindi, apart from mother-tongue Punjabi. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Last Chance: 80% Off This Artisan's Retirement Jewelry Sale The Heritage Journal Read More Undo "Languages are not just about words, they are windows to different cultures. That's why the subjects of the songs vary and are rooted in the traditions and stories of the regions they represent," he says. What makes this initiative particularly impactful is the way it creates bridges among children, even when comprehension is limited. "Children might not understand every word, but when they sing these songs, they would appreciate other languages as well," Grewal says. Grewal plans to expand the project further. His goal is to create videos of children's songs in 24 languages, ensuring that young learners across the country can access and enjoy them. "This is my small contribution to nurturing a generation that not only respects but also celebrates the cultural and linguistic differences," he said.
