Jim Keller Will Lead Ad Sales for FanDuel Sports Network

Yahoo28-07-2025
Jim Keller, a veteran of ad sales efforts at Warner Bros. Discovery, Hulu and NBCUniversal, has been named to lead similar operation at FanDuel Sports Network, the collection of regional sports media outlets that were previously housed under Fox Corp., then large TV broadcaster Sinclair.
Keller will serve as executive vice president of advertising and sponsorship sales for FanDuel's networks, which include outlets that serve Detroit, Oklahoma, Ohio and Wisconsin. The company also holds a stake in YES Network, the home to the New York Yankees.
'Jim is a proven leader with an exceptional track record across linear, streaming, and digitalplatforms,' said Eric Ratchman, chief revenue officer of Main Street Sports Group, to whom Keller will report, in a statement. 'As FanDuel Sports Network redefines what local sports media can be — more dynamic , more engaging , and more impactful — Jim's leadership will be key in creating smarter advertising experiences that deliver real value to our brand partners and local fans alike.'
FanDuel Sports Network was previously branded under the Bally's name, part of a deal between the casino operator and Main Street's predecessor, Diamond Sports Group. Diamond filed for bankruptcy in 2023, and emerged from it in 2025, with a new naming rights deal in place with FanDuel and a new operating name.
Keller was most recently chief revenue officer at Fuse Media. He has led efforts to sell ads for Discovery+ and national ads at Hulu.
'There's nothing more powerful than the connection a fan has with their local team, andFanDuel Sports Network is building a platform that truly honors that connection,' said Keller, in a prepared statement. 'From my earliest days as a sports seller at NBC Sports, to leading some of the industry's most innovative ad strategies, I've always believed that the strongest media experiences are rooted in content and community. FanDuel Sports Network's focus on building relevant, local, multiplatform fan experiences is exactly what the industry and advertisers need right now, and Icouldn't be more excited to help drive the next phase of growth.'
Keller, whose hire is effective immediately, will be based in New York.

Joe Burrow's mindset during 2025 Bengals training camp revealed by Zac Taylor

Joe Burrow's mindset during 2025 Bengals training camp revealed by Zac Taylor originally appeared on The Sporting News The Cincinnati Bengals enter the 2025 NFL season under pressure after missing the playoffs two years in a row. Head coach Zac Taylor shared insight into Joe Burrow's focused mindset as the team aims to return to postseason contention. Last season, Cincinnati came out of the gate slowly, starting 0-3, with a disappointing Week 1 loss to the New England Patriots. As a result, this training camp and preseason are all about ensuring the team can come out flying out of the gate. Taylor appeared on "Up & Adams," and he shared the mindset that Burrow is displaying this training camp, which isn't limited only to the offense to ensure that the team is ready to go Week 1 and avoid starting another season going winless in the first three weeks. MORE:Bengals told to expect 'looser and faster' 17-TD standout in 2025 "He's just a tremendous resource," Taylor told Kay Adams. "And so, shame on you for not using Joe. And it's not that Joe has to go to every player and say, 'Here's how I can help make you better.' A lot of it is the ownership of those players to go to Joe and not be afraid of a guy who's in his sixth year and been a Pro Bowler, and all these great things Joe has done. "We got a lot of guys with a different mindset that are willing to go approach him. And Joe is an open book. He wants to make everybody better. And so he'll tell you, 'Hey, here's what I saw from you that made my life a little easier, that you can do to complicate things a little bit.' And I think those guys have really taken that information and run with." Burrow will be looking to make every player on the team better as the countdown to their Week 1 game against the Cleveland Browns nears. If Burrow can have the entire team ready to go by helping anyone out during training camp and the preseason, then that might be what prevents the team from having a slow start in 2025.

Black Stripe Alert! Linebacker becomes second freshman of the season to shed black stripe

We have our first black stripe alert of summer camp. Ohio State freshman linebacker Riley Pettijohn has shed his black stripe and has been officially welcomed to the Brotherhood. Hailing from McKinney, Texas, Pettijohn was one of the best linebackers in the nation as a four-star prospect. 247Sports had him rated as the sixth-best linebacker in the country coming out of high school. He would pick the Buckeyes over Texas A&M, Texas, and USC. Sonny Styles and Arvell Reese will be the top two guys in the linebacker unit, with Payton Pierce expected to get some play as well. However, don't be surprised if Pettijohn finds his way onto the field as well as a do-it-all kind of player. As you can see in the pictures, Pettijohn is already built like he's been in the program for a few years. He becomes the eighth player to lose his black stripe this year, and he second freshman to do so behind receiver Quincy Porter, who lost his in early April.
