LeBron James Ken doll sparks long lines and big sales
The new LeBron James 'Kenbassador' Barbie doll carried a retail price of $75 and first went on sale last Saturday at Undefeated's La Brea location in Los Angeles, where fans and collectors started lining up two days before the doll hit shelves. One man even showed up dressed in a LeBron Lakers uniform and followed by a full choir singing a parody of Michael Jackson's 'Man in the Mirror' about the NBA's all-time points leader.

On Monday, the doll was also made available through Target, Amazon, Walmart and Mattel Creations, and is now listed as sold out on all of those platforms.
The day leading up to the doll's midnight online release on April 14, eBay users searched for it over 760 times per hour according to the company. Current searches for 'LeBron Barbie' on eBay reveal the dolls selling for over $100 on average and a rare autographed version sold for as much as $3,000.

StockX has seen similar high demand for the doll, with an average resale price of $118, a 57 percent premium compared to the regular retail price. StockX says the doll is the site's number one collectibles release ever with over 1,400 transactions on its release day, surpassing the previous record set by the Supreme Hot Wheels Fleet Flyer + 1992 BMW M3 from 2019, which had 1,170 opening day sales.
With the instant success of James' Kenbassador doll, it's likely only a matter of time before another athlete gets the 'Ken' treatment. More NBA dolls? Steph Curry? What about the NHL's newly crowned all-time leading goal scorer Alex Ovechkin? He could be the first Ken doll with a fashionably hockey appropriate missing tooth. Then there has to be a Tom Brady one, right?
Star athletes known just as much for their pre-game fashion will likely be considered given one of the biggest features of the James doll is that he is not in an NBA uniform, which means there are plenty of options out there.

Scottie Scheffler holes insane 82-foot chip shot to save comeback win at BMW Championship
Scottie Scheffler's shot looked like one that Hollywood would have concocted for a movie. But the wild 82-foot chip shot for birdie on the 17th hole Sunday during the final round of the BMW Championship was not the result of a scripted moment, and it helped propel Scheffler to his fifth PGA Tour title of the year. Scheffler had hit a shot that went left of the green and landed in the rough, setting up the impressive moment right after at Caves Valley Golf Club in Owings Mills, Md. 4 Scottie Scheffler of the United States chips for birdie on the 17th green during the final round of the BMW Championship 2025 at Caves Valley Golf Club on August 17, 2025. It came at a crucial time with Robert MacIntyre pulling within one shot of the lead going into the 17th hole. 'It looked good when it landed, looked good when it was rolling, and it was nice to see that one go in,' Scheffler said about the shot. Scheffler (15-under) closed with a 3-under 67 for a two-shot victory after starting the day trailing MacIntyre by four shots. The moment on 17th hole certainly had golf fans captivated as they watched the shot go in and even NFL star Patrick Mahomes was left shocked. Dennis Rodman Mocks Travis Hunter Over His Marriage On Neon's Live Stream
Dennis Rodman Mocks Travis Hunter Over His Marriage On Neon's Live Stream originally appeared on Fadeaway World. Dennis Rodman has never been one to hold back, and over the weekend he dragged Jacksonville Jaguars rookie Travis Hunter into the spotlight in a way nobody expected. Appearing on streamer Neon's live broadcast, the NBA Hall of Famer was asked a simple question about life advice for a 21-year-old. Instead of giving a standard response, Rodman fired off a jab that instantly went viral. "Just don't be Travis Hunter.I'm sorry, breaking news. What the hell? Sorry about that, guys. All this sh*t is real or not, it's fake news." Rodman's blunt shot was aimed at Hunter's marriage to his longtime partner Lenee, which has been a subject of online speculation ever since the couple tied the knot in May. At just 21, Hunter committed to his high school sweetheart, but not everyone has been supportive. Internet trolls have often accused Lenee of using Hunter for money, creating an ugly narrative around their relationship. The couple has fought back by staying public, sharing posts together and even recently adopting a kitten. But Rodman's comment ripped the lid back off those rumors and turned them into headline fodder once again. The Worm didn't stop at the one-liner either. After throwing Hunter's name out, Rodman riffed on the moment, half-joking, half-serious in his signature way. The savage delivery, paired with Neon's stunned silence, made the clip spread like wildfire across social platforms. For Hunter, this is just the latest chapter in a story he has dealt with since before the NFL Draft. Back in December, he addressed the constant trolling by saying he uses it as fuel. It's the kind of mindset that fits a player nicknamed for his competitiveness, but even Hunter couldn't have expected Rodman of all people to be the one reigniting the discourse. Fans were quick to weigh in after the stream. Some blasted Rodman for taking cheap shots at a young man's personal life, pointing to his own messy history with relationships as reason to ignore his advice. Others laughed at the unexpected bluntness, calling it a 'classic Rodman moment' that nobody else in sports media would dare say out loud. Either way, it added another wrinkle to Hunter's rookie year, one that already had enough pressure after being drafted so high by Jacksonville. Whether Rodman's advice was playful or pointed, it reminded everyone of the chaos he brings whenever a camera is on. For Travis Hunter, the best response might be the one he's leaned on all along, shrug off the noise, focus on the field, and let his play for the Jaguars do the story was originally reported by Fadeaway World on Aug 17, 2025, where it first appeared.

‘Stranger Things' creators may be leaving Netflix
Netflix could soon lose the creative team behind one of its biggest hits. Earlier this week, Variety and other Hollywood publications reported that Matt and Ross Duffer, the brothers who created 'Stranger Things' (and wrote and directed many episodes), were in talks to sign an exclusive deal with Paramount (now under the ownership of David Ellison's Skydance). Then on Friday evening, Puck's Matthew Belloni posted that the Duffers had in fact 'made their choice' and were going to Paramount. The Duffer Brothers' ambition seems to have increased with each season of 'Stranger Things,' as episodes have grown longer, set pieces have become more spectacular, and the budget has grown accordingly, with a reported Season 4 cost of $30 million per episode. So it's not surprising that the Duffers are interested in making big-budget, tentpole movies next — an area where Netflix has struggled, in part due to its thorny relationship with the theatrical business, which co-CEO Ted Sarandos recently described as an 'outdated concept.' While Netflix does release some movies in theaters, it has resisted giving those releases a significant exclusive window before launching on streaming, which means Netflix movies usually aren't shown by the major chains. This was, apparently, a sticking point for 'Barbie' director Greta Gerwig, so the first of her 'Narnia' movies for Netflix will play exclusively on Imax screens for two weeks (or more) before going to streaming on Christmas Day 2026. And it seems this was also important to the Duffers, with Belloni reporting that the 'theatrical component' turned out to be the 'dealbreaker' in their negotiations. The brothers' absence will not be immediately noticeable on Netflix, which will be releasing the final season of 'Stranger Things' in three (!) parts later this year, and where the Duffers have two new shows scheduled to launch in 2026. Plus, the 'Stranger Things' empire is growing, with a prequel playing on Broadway, an animated series coming soon, and a live action spinoff reportedly in the works. Sign in to access your portfolio
