Dublin ‘buzzing' ahead of Oasis' return to Ireland
The 90s Britpop superstars will perform to 80,000 people at Croke Park on Saturday and Sunday nights.

After an 'in-demand' dynamic pricing model left a poor taste for some fans last year, ticket-holders will roll with it and enjoy the music in temperatures above 20C.
Health officials advised revellers to wear their bucket hats, with high UV levels predicted amid warm and dry sunny spells in Dublin on Saturday.
The band's first gig in the country since 2009, the Dublin leg of the reunion world tour will hold a special meaning for once-feuding brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher.
The Mancunian brothers have spoken about their ties to Ireland through their Irish-born parents, Peggy and Thomas.
Sarah and Neil Charlton travelled from Southampton to see the band, after a determined search for standing tickets saw them clinching access in Dublin.
Mr Charlton said they have both been waiting a long time to see the band reunite – having seen Oasis multiple times before their extended hiatus.

He told the PA news agency: 'We thought: what a great city to come to and see the gig and have a couple of nights out in Dublin.'
Mr Charlton added: 'It's just so nostalgic – all the songs and all the music from when we were growing up.
'When we first started seeing each other, we went to a gig and so it's always been a part of our lives together.'
Oasis formed part of the romantic story for Lisa and Alan Roe too, who said their love of the band dates back to when they got married in the 1990s.
Mr Roe said: 'Because the two of them are after getting back together after so many years, to be able to sell out a world tour the way they did – and their music going back to the late 80s and 90s.
'That brings an aura about in everybody and a buzz and the memories of growing up in Dublin with them – it's absolutely out of this world.'

Having had to wait a long time for the reunion tour, Sinead Millea from Kilkenny – who previously saw the band in Limerick in 1996 – said: 'Maybe we're all going through a bit of a midlife crisis – I turned 50 this year, and look, Noel and Liam, they're in their 50s as well.
'And maybe things just dawned on them that life is too short and just, let's put grievances to bed.
'They seem to be getting on great, and it's fabulous. And at the end of the day, music transcends everything, and we're all here to enjoy a brilliant night and to share it with the people that mean the most.
'It's just amazing. The weather is fabulous and it's a brilliant venue.'
The support acts for the Dublin dates are Richard Ashcroft from The Verve and Cast, formed by John Power after he left The La's.
The setlist has crowd-pleasing hits such as Cigarettes And Alcohol and Wonderwall.
Fans have also been treated to favourites including Acquiesce, Some Might Say and Morning Glory – before a Don't Look Back In Anger, Wonderwall and Champagne Supernova crescendo.
Oasis announced their reunion tour in August last year, 16 years after their dramatic split in 2009, when Noel quit after a backstage brawl at the Rock en Seine festival in Paris.
The highly anticipated 41-date run has already seen the band play Cardiff, Manchester, London and Edinburgh before taking them half the world away to major cities, including in the US, Canada, Mexico, Australia and Japan.

Little Mix star Perrie Edwards has shared that she suffered a devastating miscarriage at 24 weeks pregnant, admitting it felt like an "out of body experience" as she was left sobbing. Perrie Edwards says it felt like an 'out of body experience' when she found out she had suffered a miscarriage for the second time in her life in 2022. The Little Mix singer, 32, shares son Axel, who turns four this week, with former Arsenal midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, also 32, but has now opened up about the devastating miscarriage they suffered less than a year after Axel's birth. 'We went for what was a 20-week scan, but we were actually 22 weeks, and that was just the worst day of my life. Like horrendous. And I just knew something was wrong in the scan, and [the doctor] just kept going over the same thing, over the same thing... I've never experienced an out-of-body experience where everything goes in slow motion,' said Perrie as she shared the ordeal with Celebs Go Dating expert Paul C. Brunson on his podcast, We Need To Talk. Perrie continued: "So then I remember sobbing. [Alex] was injured at the time and he couldn't really drive. He was struggling to drive, but I couldn't see straight. I was just distraught. And yeah, we basically lost the baby at like 24 weeks.' This wasn't Perrie's first experience with losing a child, with the singer describing Axel as a 'rainbow baby' after she lost a baby during her first pregnancy, 'I had a miscarriage very early on with my first ever pregnancy, and it was so early. I remember finding out I was pregnant. Obviously, I started bleeding not long after, and I went to the hospital and I had the scan and they were like, 'There's no baby.'" But it was the second experience which Perrie said really hit home, after she and Alex had already begun preparing for the newborn's arrival. 'When you're fully, like carrying in your 24 weeks and you've planned out like that room and all these things, it's really hard. And nobody knows other than, like, immediate friends and family. And I remember, like, shortly after, like, friends would message and be like, 'how's the bump?' And I'll be like, there is no bump." Despite the heartache, Perrie describes being pregnant as one of the 'best times' in her life, and couldn't be happier to be a mum to Axel. 'When I was pregnant with [Axel], like, I loved being pregnant, it was one of the happiest times of my life. Like, I just love carrying babies. And it was lovely. But I was a bit on edge thinking, oh, gosh, like, I want to get past the 12 weeks. I want to get past this. And when I get past every scan and that pregnancy was complete bliss, it was perfect." The South Shields-born singer has been in a relationship with footballer Alex, who now plays for Turkish team Beşiktaş, since 2016, after meeting on celebrity dating app Raya. The couple got engaged in 2022, with Alex organising a romantic beachside proposal, but are yet to reveal any details of a wedding. Prior to her relationship with Alex, which Perrie describes as 'safe, calm and positive', the star was engaged to One Direction alum Zayn Malik. The couple both rose to fame during their respective time on The X Factor and were together for four years, beginning when Perrie was just 19 years old before they split in 2015. Looking back at the 'toxic' first relationship, Perrie admitted to Paul, 'I think definitely at the time I thought everything we experienced in our relationship was normal. Because it was my first relationship, first love. I was like, 'Oh, this is how it's supposed to feel. It's supposed to feel a little bit toxic. In some ways, this is probably normal, right?' And then when I became single, I was almost thinking, like, I never, ever want to go through that again. I didn't even want to meet anybody. I was like, that's me done. I don't think I could bear that pain." Perrie continued that the experience has made her more appreciative of Alex's calming nature, "But now, reflecting back, I'm thinking, oh, that probably wasn't good. And I've noticed it a lot. Like in the start of the relationship, I would handle things differently with Alex, and he'd come at it with such a level head that it would throw me." Reality TV star Maura Higgins has landed a new hosting role in the U.S. as the face of Aftersun for the upcoming second season of Love Island Games, following her success on Love Island USA and The Traitors US Maura Higgins is continuing her rise in American television, landing yet another high-profile role just weeks after appearing on The Traitors US. Liam let loose on officials after they had singled out the band's fans as "drunk", "fat" and "old" in secret safety briefings and he has continued on his tirade in Dublin. Bosses claimed that most of the 200,000 music-lovers attending the reunion shows across the three days were 'rowdy' 'middle-aged men' who 'take up more room' and will drink to 'medium to high intoxication," the Record reports. During each night of Oasis' epic three-day spectacular at Murrayfield in the capital, Liam slammed council chiefs over the remarks. Now, the Oasis frontman has bashed the council once again but this time during their shows at Croke Park in Dublin over the weekend. This comes after his remarks on Friday August 8 where the singer demanded an apology in a sweary rant at Murrayfield - calling council officials "f****** s****". Then, during the following day's show, he said that Edinburgh Council had "the cheek" to make comments about his fans. Last week, Council Leader Jane Meagher responded to the Gallagher brother's put-downs. She said: 'I think Liam Gallagher had every right to be annoyed by what he read – I would be too.
