Best Galaxy Watch 8 pre-order deals: what to expect

Phone Arena5 hours ago

This July is shaping up to be an exciting month for Samsung fans. According to the rumor mill, the tech giant will hold an Unpacked event where it'll announce its latest foldables, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Galaxy Z Fold 7.
Rumors also suggest that Samsung will unveil its new smartwatches, the Galaxy Watch 8 and Galaxy Watch 8 Classic, at the same event. So, July will be a great time to upgrade your smartwatch game by pre-ordering one of Samsung's latest and greatest timepieces. The company is famous for its generous pre-order promos, and we'll probably see some incredible offers and bonuses on the Galaxy Watch 8 series, too. But how much can you anticipate saving on a new Galaxy Watch 8 or Galaxy Watch 8 Classic? Well, let's see what Galaxy Watch 8 pre-order deals we can expect below.
If you don't feel like waiting for the new Galaxy Watch 8 series, feel free to snag a brand-new Galaxy Watch 7 on Amazon. The retailer is offering a $100 discount on the 40mm model, letting you score one of the best watches on the market for just under $200. Don't miss out! Buy at Amazon Amazon has a generous offer on the 256GB Galaxy Z Flip 6, too. Buyers can now score a hefty $200 discount on this bad boy, snagging one for just under $900. With its sleek design and immense power, this handsome fella still ranks among the best phones on the market. Save while you can! Buy at Amazon If you prefer book-style foldables, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 with 256GB of storage is also getting a massive discount. Amazon is slashing a whopping $420 off the Navy model, while other colors are available at smaller price cuts. Grab yours while the deal lasts! Buy at Amazon Judging by the pre-order offer Samsung had on the Galaxy Watch 7 last year, expect to be able to save up to $250 on the Galaxy Watch 8 with a trade-in. Last year, Samsung also offered its latest smartwatch with a free band, allowing early birds to save up to an additional $69.99. Chances are it may have a similar offer that lets you snag a Galaxy Watch 8 with a free band.
That being said, we expect to see a sweet Galaxy Watch 8 pre-order deal on Amazon, too. Last year, the retailer tossed in a free band when pre-ordering the latest Galaxy Watch 7 . In addition, buyers got to enjoy Amazon Music Unlimited free for three months. While there wasn't a Classic model last year, Samsung did release one with the Galaxy Watch 6 series. We believe the company may offer a similar Galaxy Watch 8 Classic pre-order deal to the one it had for the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic. If that's the case, you could save up to $250 with an eligible trade-in and even score a free Fabric Band.

Amazon's super-expensive Kindle Scribe (2024) is on sale at a new record high discount

Typically available for a whopping $399.99 and up, the 2024-released Kindle Scribe is hard to consider a smarter purchase than some of the best tablets frequently priced at a similar level. But what if you could save a cool hundred bucks on Amazon's latest high-end e-reader capable of taking beautifully handwritten notes? While that obviously doesn't change the fact that you're not looking at a full-blown tablet here, the unprecedented discount certainly maximizes the value proposition of a device that had a very specific (and generally very devoted) target audience to begin with. E-Book Reader with 16GB Storage, 2024 Release, 10.2-Inch Glare-Free Display with 300 ppi resolution, Uniform White Borders, Built-in AI-Powered Notebook, Active Canvas, Up to 12 Weeks of Battery Life, Adjustable Warm Light, Auto-Adjusting Front Light Sensor, Flush-Front Design, USB-C Port, Tungsten Color, Premium Pen Included Buy at Amazon Keep in mind that this is the second Kindle Scribe edition, and unlike its 2022 predecessor, the 2024 model comes bundled with a "Premium Pen" as standard. Amazon remarkably slashes $100 off the list prices of all three available storage variants, starting with the 16GB one that normally costs four Benjamins and going up to a 64GB configuration typically setting you back $449.99. Apart from the aforementioned "premium" stylus, which comes equipped with a customizable shortcut button and soft-tipped eraser while not requiring charging or setup, the key selling point and major strength over the greatest Android tablets money can buy in 2025 has to be the epic 12-week battery life rating. Of course, that staggering number can only be achieved in certain usage conditions, but whatever you do, however many books you read, and notes you take on the Kindle Scribe (2024), you should still be able to squeeze one or two weeks of endurance out of this bad boy with minimal effort. The 10.2-inch display is also pretty spectacular (at least by conventional e-book reader standards), rocking 300 ppi resolution and uniform white borders while sitting perfectly flush with the rest of the Kindle Scribe's design to look more like a high-end tablet at a first glance than a product generally viewed as more "rudimentary."

Oppo A5i and A5i Pro launch with Snapdragon 6s 4G Gen 1, Pro has 6,000mAh Si/C battery

Oppo quietly launched A5i and A5i Pro, though they are not entirely novel designs. Both are based on the Snapdragon 6s 4G Gen 1, which is a rebrand of the Snapdragon 662. The same chip was used in the Oppo A5 Pro 4G, which shares many similarities with these two new models. Both A5i phones feature 6.67' LCD displays with HD+ resolution and 90Hz refresh rate. They can reach 1,000 nits of brightness. Outdoor visibility is further helped by the anti-glare coating. The Pro also has a 6.67' LCD (HD+, 90Hz), but it is a higher quality IPS panel. The Oppo A5i and A5i Pro have 6.67' HD+ 90Hz LCDs The front and back are protected by China Southern Glass and Panda Glass. Oppo lists both as 'twice reinforced' and the phones have undergone MIL-STD-810H testing and got a certification from SGS. However, ingress protection on the A5i is pretty basic with an IP54 rating. The Pro model is a bit better at IP65. Both phones support wet touch. The A5i is powered by a 5,100mAh battery, which promises to retain at least 80% of its capacity after four years of use. The phone supports 45W fast charging. Vanilla A5i: 5,100mAh battery • 45W charging If you want more juice, the Pro has a larger 6,000mAh Si/C battery (still with 45W charging). The bigger battery makes the Pro a bit thicker and heavier, but not by much – it's 7.68mm/186g for the vanilla and 7.99mm/193g for the Pro. The differences between vanilla and Pro models continue. The vanilla model has a very basic 8MP main camera on the back, the front houses a 5MP module. Both are limited to 1080p @ 30fps video recording. The Oppo A5i Pro has better ingress protection and a bigger 6,000mAh battery. The Oppo A5i Pro stands out with a 50MP rear camera with a wider aperture (f/1.85 vs. f/2.0), but the front module is still only a 5MP camera. There's a secondary module on the back and since its function is not listed, we're assuming a depth sensor. While both phones are powered by the Snapdragon 6s 4G Gen 1 – an old 11nm design with Cortex-A73 and A53 CPU cores plus an Adreno 610 GPU – there will be a small performance difference between them. The Pro model has 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.1 storage. The vanilla model has less RAM, 4/6GB of LPDDR4X, and 64/128GB of slower eMMC 5.1 storage. Snapdragon 6s 4G Gen 1 • 8MP rear camera for the vanilla A5i As the chipset's name suggests, it only supports 4G LTE networking. Local connections are handled with dual-band Wi-Fi 5 (ac) and Bluetooth with aptX. The vanilla model also has a 3.5mm headphone jack, the Pro doesn't, but it does have NFC and an IR blaster. Finally, both phones have a side-mounted fingerprint reader. The Oppo A5i Pro is available in the Philippines – right now, it's exclusively sold through Shopee, but starting on June 20 it will also be available from Oppo's TikTok shop and Lazada. The Pro is priced at PHP 9,000, which converts to $160/€140/₹14,000. Oppo A5i in Starry Purple and Nebula Red • Oppo A5i Pro in Midnight Purple We haven't found Oppo A5i in stores just yet. The A5i comes in Starry Purple and Nebula Red, the A5i Pro comes in Midnight Purple. Source | Via

Best Galaxy Z Flip 7 deals: here's what to expect this July

Motorola might have released its flip phones early this year, but a solid contender is on the horizon. Expected to launch sometime in early July, the upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 7 could offer several notable upgrades, making it a great choice for flip phone enthusiasts. From what we know so far, the upcoming device might feature a larger cover screen and a potentially better battery thanks to an upgraded battery size. Even better, the Samsung phone might come at the same asking price as last year's model or $1,099.99 for the base model. Although the unchanged asking price (if true) certainly brings good news, launch-day deals will make the Z Flip 7 even more tempting. How so? Well, retailers like the Samsung Store and Amazon, as well as Verizon and other carriers, will compete for your attention with juicy pre-order offers. Jump to: It's no secret that the official Samsung Store gives the deepest price cuts during flagship phone launches. The Galaxy Z Flip 7 will be no exception! This year, we expect pre-orders to include a hefty $650 maximum trade-in discount, a free storage upgrade, and a reservation credit. The free storage upgrade alone saves you $120 on the 512GB variant, letting you grab it at the price of the 256GB model. As you might have guessed, the reservation credit is only available to users who reserved a device ahead of launch. We expect it to be worth about $50 and allow you to get an accessory at the time of pre-order. Reservations usually begin two weeks before launch, so stay tuned for updates. In total, you might be able to save up to $820 on the upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 7 . That's a pretty solid discount no flip phone fan would want to miss. If history is any indication, Samsung might limit the $650 trade-in discount to select high-end devices. Last year's Z Flip 6 launched with the same discount with Galaxy S24 Ultra, Z Flip 5, Z Fold 5, and iPhone 15 Pro Max trade-ins Expected pre-order deals at Amazon Amazon won't leave shoppers behind during the Galaxy Z Flip 7 pre-orders. This year's Samsung flip phone will most likely arrive with a free storage upgrade (which alone saves you $120). Aside from that, the e-commerce giant will most likely offer a $200 Amazon Gift Card. By the way, last year's model debuted with a bundle offer as well, allowing users to buy the Z Flip 6 and the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro at a lower price. We can't be 100% certain, but similar bundle offers might come up this year. Expected pre-order deals at Verizon Users seeking a carrier deal will definitely want to check out Verizon 's pre-order offer for the Galaxy Z Flip 7 . The handset may arrive for as much as $800 off with trade-ins, plus a free storage upgrade, saving you a total of $920. That said, chances are you'd have to set up a new line on select unlimited plans to grab this bargain. Last year, the Samsung Store allowed users to pre-order the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Z Fold 6 with a carrier plan at a pretty tempting price. For instance, users could get a full year of Samsung Care+ with T-Mobile through the Samsung Store. On top of that, last year's flip arrived for up to $1,100 off with eligible trade-ins and a free storage upgrade. Talk about big savings! AT&T offered the Galaxy Z Flip 6 for free during pre-orders. To get this amazing deal, users had to trade in any Galaxy S, Galaxy Note, or Galaxy Z series device in any condition. Of course, the offer only worked with select plans, but at least it was open to new and existing customers alike. Like other carriers (and retailers), AT&T also offered a free storage upgrade during pre-orders. If the tradition remains unchanged, you might be able to pre-order the new Galaxy Z Flip 7 for $0.00/mo. at AT&T —who would want to miss that? Top Galaxy deals right now: If you don't feel like waiting for the new Galaxy Watch 8 series, feel free to snag a brand-new Galaxy Watch 7 on Amazon.
