Jaguars release RB Keilan Robinson, a 5th-round pick in 2024
Any team can now claim him and take on the remainder of his rookie contract. If he clears waivers, he'll become a free agent.

Robinson played six games last year as a fifth-round rookie but he was on the field for just five offensive snaps. He played 51 snaps on special teams, returning two kickoffs for 34 yards.
The Jaguars spent the 167th overall pick on him last year, drafting the former Alabama and Texas running back in the fifth round. Robinson never had more than 322 yards rushing in a season in college, finishing his career with 796 yards and eight touchdowns in the 45 games he played.

She presided over Deshaun Watson's case in 2022. Rice still has to serve a 30-day jail sentence in the future for causing a chain-reaction crash last year on a Dallas highway that left multiple people injured. He already agreed to pay more than $1 million in a settlement with the victims. ADVERTISEMENT Rice is returning from a knee injury that cut short his sophomore season in the NFL following a standout rookie campaign. He would be eligible to play the first four games, including a Super Bowl rematch against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 2, before his hearing. NFL to continue social justice messaging stencils in end zones for 2025 season
The NFL's social justice messaging is here to stay. For the sixth straight season, all 32 teams will display one of four social justice messages in the end zone at each home game. Teams can pick from "End Racism," "Stop Hate," "Choose Love" or "Inspire Change," which is a new addition that replaces the "Vote" stencil from 2024. Those messages will appear at one end zone, while "It Takes All of Us" continues to be stenciled at the other. "We're working hand-in-hand with players, and alongside our clubs, to amplify player voices and underscore what is most important to them," Anna Isaacson, the NFL's senior vice president of social responsibility, told The Associated Press. "For decades, the NFL and its players have been a unifying force in American culture and society that brings people of all cultures and backgrounds together to enjoy America's most popular sport. "This is an honor and responsibility that the league takes seriously, which is why we actively invest in off-field programs and on-field initiatives that promote unity." All international games will feature "End Racism" and "It Takes All of Us" in the end zones. The Philadelphia Eagles have selected "Choose Love" as their season-opener message on Sept. 4 against the Dallas Cowboys and will rotate all four messages throughout the season. Once again, players can choose to feature one of the five messages on their helmets. According to the AP, the NFL has provided more than $460 million to dozens of grant partners and hundreds of grassroots organizations through its Inspire Change initiative, benefiting communities in need since 2017. The Inspire Change initiative has supported over 650 nonprofits and 2,100 players and alums, providing matching grants focused on mentorship, workforce development and addressing food insecurity.

NFL will continue to put social justice message in end zones
Whether the league will admit it or not, it's currently engaged in a high-wire regarding diversity initiatives, with a desire to do the objectively right thing on one hand and an urgency to placate certain political forces on the other. As it relates to the messages that have been painted on the back lines of end zones since 2020, those will continue. Via the Associated Press, all 32 teams will have one of four messages at the back of one end zone: End Racism, Stop Hate, Choose Love, or Inspire Change. At the back of the other other end one will be the message, 'It Takes All of Us.' Here's the reality. Some messages will invite less scrutiny from anti-DEI types than others. Choose Love, Inspire Change? Fine. End Racism, Stop Hate? Tread lightly. That said, 'End Racism' will be the message for each of the four international games. And the Eagles will rotate through all four messages. Kudos for the NFL to not suspending or postponing or pausing the end-zone messages. Especially if the gesture at some point triggers a social-media attack and/or a suggestion that the effort to acquire 10 percent of ESPN could be scrapped unless the messages are erased.
