Special OPS: Season 2 (JioHotstar – July 18)
RAW officer Himmat Singh, played by Kay Kay Menon, returns with even sharper instincts and a deadlier mission. This season escalates into the world of cyber-terrorism, where enemies aren't just hiding in shadows — they're sitting behind keyboards. With Karan Tacker and Vinay Pathak reprising their roles, Special OPS 2 dives into murky geopolitical games and backstabbing espionage. Expect betrayals, bombshells, and edge-of-your-seat drama, all streaming on July 18.
Wall-To-Wall (Netflix – July 18)
Wall-To-Wall isn't just a thriller — it's an anxiety trip. Directed by Kim Tae-joon and Sharon S. Park, the Korean mystery stars Kang Ha-neul, Yeom Hye-ran, and Seo Hyun-woo. Woo-seong finally buys his dream apartment, only to see it morph into a claustrophobic hellscape. Financial ruin creeps in alongside eerie noises from the neighbouring walls. What starts as a real estate dream turns into a full-blown psychological spiral.
Sattamum Needhiyum (ZEE5 – July 18)
In this hard-hitting courtroom drama, Sundaramoorthy — a soft-spoken lawyer — must dig deep for courage when a self-immolation protest forces him to take on a powerful legal case. As he defends a grieving father's desperate act, Sattamum Needhiyum examines the cracks in India's legal machinery and the blurred lines between justice and revenge. Led by Saravanan, Namritha, Aroul D Shankar, and Shanmugham, the series captures moral turmoil with powerful storytelling.
Kuberaa (Prime Video – July 18)
Directed by Sekhar Kammula, Kuberaa brings together a dream cast — Dhanush, Nagarjuna Akkineni, and Rashmika Mandanna — for a gripping tale of ambition and conscience. As politics, power, and justice collide, three characters chase redemption in a system riddled with compromise. Packed with dramatic punch and scored by Devi Sri Prasad, Kuberaa walks the tightrope between mass appeal and thought-provoking substance. It's available in Tamil and other Indian languages on Prime Video.
Bhairavam (ZEE5 – July 18)
Temple land worth ₹1,000 crore becomes the epicenter of greed, betrayal, and political manipulation in this action-loaded rural drama. Childhood friends — played by Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas, Nara Rohith, and Manchu Manoj — find their bond shredded by power games. Directed by Vijay Kanakamedala, Bhairavam uses a small-town setting to unpack big themes: loyalty, corruption, and how money poisons even the deepest friendships.
Asthra (ManoramaMAX – July 18)
Dark, brooding, and slow-burning, Asthra dives into the heart of Wayanad's criminal underworld. Directed by and starring Prem Kallat, the crime thriller also features Kalabhavan Shajon, Santosh Keezhattoor, and Neena Kurup. The series unspools like a puzzle — with atmospheric tension, political undertones, and morally conflicted characters. Screenwriters Vinu K Mohan and Jijuraj craft a gritty narrative rooted in local realities and eerie suspense.
Vir Das: Fool Volume (Netflix – July 18)
After winning an International Emmy, comedian Vir Das is back with Fool Volume — a brand-new stand-up special that promises to combine outrageous humour with razor-sharp social commentary. In a quirky poster, Das poses with a mic in one hand and an electric lamp in the other, teasing a mix of mischief and meaning. If you're looking to laugh and think, Fool Volume might just be your smartest stream of the week.

Puri Jagannadh ropes in young composer for his next with Vijay Sethupathi and Tabu
Despite delivering back-to-back flops in the last few years, popular Telugu director Puri Jagannadh is actively involved in filmmaking. When everyone thought he was done and dusted post the failures of Liger and Double iSmart, Puri went on to sign Tamil star Vijay Sethupathi and National Award-winning actress Tabu for his next social drama, which is now on the floors. Mahati Swara Sagar (L) to compose for Puri Jagannadh's next with Vijay Sethupathi The latest update is that Mahati Swara Sagar, the son of legendary musician Mani Sharma, has been roped in to compose the music for the film. This is quite a surprising move from Puri, as Mahati has not worked in recent years, and his last album, Bholaa Shankar, disappointed fans big time. Thus, Puri roping in the young composer has raised a few eyebrows in the industry and on social media. But it needs to be pointed out that Puri had worked with Mahati's dad, Mani Sharma, on so many iconic films and last collaborated with him on iSmart Shankar (now available on OTTplay Premium). But still, he chose his son, Mahati Sagar, which has now become a talking point in the film circles. The film's shooting will be wrapped up in the next two months, and Mahati Swara Sagar has already finished composing two songs and is busy working on the background score, as per reports. Tabu plays a negative role in Puri Jagannadh's next Tabu plays the female lead in this film, and she will be seen in a negative role in the social drama. Known for her terrific performances in films such as Drishyam, Tabu will be seen in yet another crucial role which will shock the audience, say the makers. You can stream Drishyam, and her other popular films such as De De Pyaar De and Ninne Pelladata on OTTplay Premium. Puri Jagannadh is known for his powerful messages in all his films, and this yet-to-be-titled film will also have a solid message told in a satirical manner. Vijay Sethupathi will be seen in an author-backed role in this film, which Puri Jagannadh and Charmee are co-producing on a limited budget. More details about this biggie will be out soon.
